My mom and I cruised on carnival February of 2023. In may, her credit card (cc) company called her with fraudulent charges all over Florida. The cc stopped all payment. She realized a charge was not fraudulent and was for the February cruise. She called the cc and they immediately issued payment to carnival ( we have the statements). We had another cruise scheduled in September of 2023. In June, I was unable to pay off the cruise and was told that I never paid for the February cruise. I disputed and described what happened to MY MOM and not me. I was told I was put on the no sail list and not her. I proved to them them they were paid and was told “it has to hit the books before we will release you”. Several weeks later, it was posted on their books (per them with an email confirming this). I paid off my September cruise. The DAY BEFORE the cruise, carnival sent me an email at around 4pm est and I’m on pst. I tried to call, they were closed. I flew out early that next morning. While on layover, I called and proved payment and sent their email with confirmation of payment and a copy of the bank cc statement. I was told “I don’t know who u work with but carnival doesn’t take word of mouth”. I stated these are emails from you and cc statements. I was told, you’re still canceled but good news, your mom and kids aren’t. They emailed me knowing I couldn’t take care of this prior to the cruise. I have been fighting since. They will not take the cc statement proving payment stating they want a letter from the cc stating what account they sent the money to. Cc won’t talk to me because it is not my account but my moms. Carnival then stated “there was a charge to you and your mom for the same amount. I asked “to the penny the same. That’s impossible.” Collections then said, we’ll your moms hasn’t posted. Again, I prove this and they will not take the proof. We go round and round. Payment was made with proof, collections is very rude and will not help and my mom is unable to talk to them due to it being against me. I really need help and nobody will. The bill is a little over $700. Carnival stranded my family and could care less. Is there anything that I can do? What action do I have? I will never sail with them again due to the unprofessional billing and actions but how do I get this cleared? Any help would be appreciated.

Claimed loss: $750 est for cruise payment already made $1400 tickets to Miami$2000 hotels$150 train rides

Desired outcome: At the very least, removal and reversal from collections for an amount not owed. I would like reimbursement from some of the travel. Not all but a portion.
