Carl's Jr. review: Price of advertised item

I drove by Carl's Jr and noticed a signed indicating Spicy Chicken Sandwich for $1.00. I remembered that years ago you had a Spicy Chicken Sandwich for.99 cents and it was delicious, well it made me hungry so I went through the drive thru window and ordered a Spicy Chicken Sandwich and a small drink. When I arrived at the window the person asks me for $4.47. I said, "what, could you please tell why?" He began to tell me that the Spicy Chicken sandwich was $1.99, I told him, nooo, the banner on the side of your building states $1.00. He begins to tell me that it's written in fine print on the bottom of the banner $1.99. I told him it was sneaky of Carl's to do this. Then I asked him if there was a senior discount (I'm 82), he then gives me some rigamaroe that I already got a discount. With that statement I paid him and told him that's how the Company loses business. One thing for certain, if someone is driving how could they see the small print? And upon looking at my receipt order # 348539 and number under barcode [protected]; seems like he charged $3.59 and deducted $1.50, so I paid $1.99 for sandwich.
