Canadian Tire star wars x wing vs death star rebel assault

Hi, I am here at Canadian Tire in cobourg Ontario trying to exchange this product as or was defective and a Christmas present for my son. She explained that it is store policy not to accept exchanges without the receipt or the credit card information to return the product. I challenged her saying that this is a gift and I don't have a receipt nor did I buy I for my son, it was a gift from his grandparents but purchased at a Canadian tire store, not to mention if it were purchased at Walmart it would have been an instant return and exchange without receipt. I was told that no that is not how it works there they would need a receipt... Which is absolutely untrue. I have exchanged Walmart products without receipt with no problem because they are focused on customer experience and satisfaction. I would like to know why this store forced me to call my parents and inform them that the gift they purchased was defective and then request their credit card information from them... Completely inconveniencing me, and my parents embarrassing them, and getting them to read me their personal credit card information to make this happen?

Canadian Tire customer service, cashier

I check online all Canadian tire locations around white rock, langley, surrey, who got more stock of snow salt, I found one in walley 102 ave locations in surrey got 465 bags, which they have on sale for $5.99, today was the last day for sale so I went there and grabbed 20 bags, I thought it was a good deal, I came to the cashier she said there is a limit for 4 bags per costumer, but in flyer it doesn't says anything, I don't wanna argue with them I left my shopping cart with few more items as is, I will never shop at Canadian tire anymore, if there is only few bags make understanding that other people also need it, if you can walk in garden centre there is 5 pallets full of salt sitting there, half of them been ripped off, my point is why they waisted my time if they can clearly point at Boxing Day flyer there is a limit

Canadian Tire 9" glass pentagon terrariums - quinpool road store, halifax, nova scotia

Hello,

I purchased 3 9" Terrariums on December 21st, 2017. However they were coded wrong and came up as the 11" Terrariums. I explained this to the staff that it did not logically make sense to be paying the 11" price for the 9" products but because they scanned up as the 11" they would not do anything. I am hoping to be refunded for the difference. I am happy with the purchase just feel like something could have been done with the price.

Thanks,
Colin

Canadian Tire noma outdoor christmas lights and underwhelmed service experience

*My husband and I purchased outdoor Noma Christmas lights last Christmas Season. *My husband spent a few hours placing them on our backyard tree with a ladder.
*After only a few days, a couple of the light caps, started to snap off and fall to the ground.
*As we got closer to Christmas, we found even more light caps on the ground.
*As there were only a few days left, we decided to wait until Christmas was over to return the defective lights.
*We took the lights and the bill, totaling a little over $85.00 back to the store.
*We were turned away, the employee at customer service said that they were not taking any returns for Christmas lighting until the following year.
*I was shocked, I asked the service rep., what was I supposed to do, hold on to the bill and the lights for a year, and their reply was yes.
*Fast forwarding to today, under a year later, I brought the lights and receipts back to the same Canadian Tire store in Langley BC.
*I lined up at Customer service with my receipt and lights in hand.
*I was told that I could not have my money back, only a store credit that expires in one year. Again I was shocked.
*Furthermore, the clerk was not empathetic as to what happened.
*I explained again that the product was defective and we did not intend to return the lights, and after waiting one year, I wanted to know why I could not get my money back. She explained that this was their policy.
*Moreover to my surprise, I was charged for the Canadian Tire money that I had not returned along with my receipt...I believe that was 40 cents.
*I asked to speak with the Manager on duty, because the clerk seemed disinterested in what I was telling her, and that I was feeling underwhelmed by the whole experience.
*She contacted Christina to come to the front to speak with my husband and I.
*Christina must not have been on the job long, as she took a stern unsympathetic stance and approach with me and my husband from the start.
*Christina maintained that their store policy was only to issue store credit and not take any returns on lights. I asked why, and she said that this was their policy for lighting .
*I told Christina that if this was their policy, that they should warn their customers that Christmas lights are non-refundable even when they are defective at the time of purchase.
*Christina's reply was that they cannot do that for all the items in the store that they do not take returns on. It would be too much work for their employees.
*We asked Christina why would they not take the lights back last year when we brought them in.
*Christina replied that there must have been some misunderstanding but she did not elaborate.
*I took offense to that statement.
*How can someone misunderstand a Customer standing in the return line with an item and a bill, and clearly saying to the clerk, "I would like to return this item, here is the item and my bill". Not sure how anyone can misunderstand this request. This is what I did last year, and was turned away.
*I feel I understood perfectly, I was told that I could not return or exchange anything until the following year.
*I resigned in the fact that I was going nowhere fast with Christina. *Christina did not seem to care about her customer's point of view, only in her store policy.
*I told Christina, because I could see that she would never have asked, that she was of no help at all.
*She smiled as I walked away and yelled out Merry Christmas to me.

With that kind of store policy and poor customer service, I doubt you will be in business for long.

Canadian Tire unethical behaviour

Today Wednesday December 6th 2017 at 10:30am. I went to Canadian Tire on 4785 boul Laurier, Terrebonne, Qc. J7M 1C3. To buy a disney hot chocolate mug. That was my 3rd canadian tire of the day. The service at the other two canadian tires (Blainville and Laval) weren't any better, the staff just don't care about the customers. Anyway, When I was in the canadian tire in terrebonne, I saw the large kinder eggs at 5.88$, I thought, hmm! are they on special. So I asked my 12 year old daughter to crouch down and look at the label an it said OEUF KINDER CLASSIQ. So I take two eggs, I also took a picture. When I get to the cash it scans at 12.99$. I tell the lady, a heavy set lady with short blond hair, that it's supposed to be 5.88$. I show her the picture I took. She calls the manager, speaks to her on the phone and tells me the manager said they won't respect the price. She leaves the counter and goes and see, she changes the prices around to make it right, then tells me it was only the pink that was there and those are not pink? My picture clearly shows 2 prices pink and classic. I tell the cashier that she needs to match the price, she tells me that I had to match the item numbers, I clearly tell her, I don't work here, it's not my job to match the numbers, I see the price and it clearly says kinder egg on the tag. I then say, it's no wonder I stopped coming here for years and why canadian tire is losing so many cusotmers, the cashier says to me " we have a lot of customers and we don't need customers like you" I ask at this time to speak to the manager. She walks towards me with a crappy attitude already (probably woke her from her nap) and says that's the price. I tell the manager what the cashier said to me and she says, that's not my concern, and that's not what we're talking about, we are discussing the price. THen I reply well the price should be respected. She tells me that'a not the law, I should read up in the law. I know the law very well and I work in retail and in fact every store I go to including mine, respects the price. I stopped going to canadian tire about 10 years ago because of the crappy service. Honeslty, I don't even expect anything, cause this seems to be who canadian tire is, but it's sad that the owner loses this many customers because of employees like those two women. I bought my mug and walked out. GREAT PRODUCT at Canadian Tire, I love their product, but it will be another 10 years if not ever that I will walk into a Canadian Tire and if I can help it I will make sure everyone I know will never walk into THAT particular Canadian Tire because of the really bad service. MOST HORRIBLE service I have ever experienced in my entire life. When I told the manager I will complain to the head office, she replied. Go Ahead, we don't care. Pretty sad! I hope my staff NEVER treats my customers that way. Thank you. I debated posting this on Facebook but decided that I wouldn't want anyone doing that to me. I really hope Canadian Tire takes this email seriously because it really is a great store and I know how much it's lost already. I'm telling you it's because of the constant bad service. My husband went to a Canadian Tire in Toronto, Service was excellent. That whole incident took place in the french language. So they understood perfectly. THank you, my name is Dalila and my email is [protected]@hotmail.com

Canadian Tire auto service

I had an oil change done for my SUV at Meadowvale Canadiantire location. After a month, my suv started giving heavy engine sound and stopped while driving to work. I tow it to my mechanic and came to know that some engine seals are leaking and heavy engine noise coming out. Upon further investigation, they found that engine oil was overfilled more than 3 litres even after some leak. My mechanic told me that engine seals need to be replaced as well as require more investigation to find out reason of noise as overfilled engine oil may have damaged internal parts. I need my suv to be fixed ASAP on Canadian tire expense as one of their technicians negligence caused all this damage.

Canadian Tire customer service / product support

1) Purchased Aurora Ultrasonic Humidifier (model AUV20AWHT) less than a week ago. This product requires that the demineralization cartridge be replaced every 500 hours. Called customer service number to find out where I can purchase these cartidges and was told that a number of other customers have also asked the same question however they don't carry them. Was offered the phone number for the supplier to call them and ask for myself.

2) Sent email to customer service 2 DAYS ago asking where I could purchase a replacement battery for a cordless drill I had purchased from Canadian Tire several years ago. I even provided them the part number which I got from THEIR website. After not receiving a response for 2 days I called the customer service number and was advised that this product has been discountinued. Then why have it still listed on their website!?!

The customer service level certainly isn't what it used to be...such a shame for what used to be a wonderful Canadian institution.

Canadian Tire everything, where 2 begin

I nook an appointment for my car to be serviced I booked it about 5 days earlier when my checked engine light came on. So I explain the check engine light, I was having concerns about snow tires I purchased from Canadian tire, also when they swapped out my battery they left something unhooked, check breaks, check alignment and check drivers right back tire shock as it rubs when I go over a bump and oil change. My appointment was 2:30 pm they did not start work until 3:30 pm. They then approached me at almost closing time and said ur service is finished but they wanted me to mention ur check engine light is on. I said what r u talking about that is why I am here right now. I said no it is for check engine light and I threw in the other things to work on because I was getting the other service. Well at the end of the day I was encircled by 5 employees I was security who was trying to puff his chest out like he mattered. They refused to release my car even though it was their mistake. They locked doors and blocked us in by security and said they were keeping our car so Canadian tire holds a 83 year old dementia woman and a 54 year old in heart failure and severely disabled

Canadian Tire poor workmanship on a car wheel alignment

On April 13 2017 I went to the Canadian Tire in St-Hyacinthe, QC. I went there to install my 4 new four season Bridgestone tires (EP422 Plus size 19565R15 91H M+S). Canadian Tire consulted me to change air filters, and to also do a wheel alignment. I accepted and paid $230.58. The wheel alignment was $69.96 + Tax. Invoice [protected] is attached to this complaint.

On November 23, 2017 I went to Honda in Boucherville to get my winter tires put on only to be told that my four season Brudgestone front tires (EP422 Plus size 19565R15 91H M+S) are finished but my back tires are almost new 9/32. The reason is the mechanic at Canadian Tire never screwed the bolts onto the tie rod. My front tires are useless now. I also had to pay for another wheel alignment at Honda. Invoice SB77683. The invoice is attached to this complaint (demonstrating I paid for another wheel alignment and the status of my four season tires they removed from my car).

I expect a refund of $69.96 + Tax for the wheel alignment I had to pay at Canadian Tire and I expect a refund for qty 2 tires (Bridgestone EP422 Plus size 19565R15 91H M+S). I regret ever going to Canadian Tire. I am very lucky I was not in an accident with the unfinished wheel alignment (not attaching the bolt to the tie_rod.

Canadian Tire okotoks alberta canadian tire store dark and dingy, dirty

In all my years of shopping at various CT stores, I have never seen a store more dislikable and poorly operated as the one in Okotoks. I gladly now go to either Calgary or High River IF I really need something unique to CT. This store is so poorly managed that I detest going there - even the staff agree when you can actually talk to them...they hate the conditions too.
The store lights have been turned down to half power and it is as dark as going in to an old Army and Navy store basement. The aisles are almost intimidating and unwelcome as little light gets in to the aisles. Its so dark that I can't even read the print on packages. They also play music so loud that it is extremely irritating. I don't go to a store to listen to some radio station; that's not what a store should be doing. Background music to subtly help encourage shopping is what it should be.
I have quit going there entirely but when I did, it was all I could do to get the heck out of there as fast as possible. The High River store, even though it is further away, is much much better stocked, staff receptive, bright, and staff are friendly, ...all the things that the Okotoks store is not. Eventually, this store will close because they can't see the forest, due to too many trees in their way.

Canadian Tire poor summer tires installation

To whom this may concern,

On the 22nd of May 2017, at Canadian Tire Ste-Foy (1170 route de l'eglise, [protected]), I had my Summer tires installed on my car.

Today, the 24th of November 2017, I had these Summer tires removed and my Winter tires installed on my car at a different garage.

The garage that installed my Winter tires reported extreme difficulty with the REMOVAL of my Summer tires, due to poor installation of my Summer tires, as done by the Canadian Tire noted above.

To be exact, it was reported, "Summer tires are same brand but different threads, and were mixed on different axle. Whoever installed summer tires re-installed wheel nuts cross-thread and damaged studs. Needs at least 2 new studs per wheel. We had to cut 1 stud front right to remove the tire."

This is absolutely ridiculous. This garage is not the first to comment on the installation of my Summer tires. On the 3rd of September 2017, I visited a garage for a check-up on an unrelated issue. Part of this check-up required the removal of my front passenger tire which was unable to be done, due to the way that the bolt had been tightened on the tires. At this time, I was warned that my Summer tires had not been put on properly and to warn the garage who would put on my Winter tires about this issue. I was unaware how severe this issue was.

I am now worried about my safety when driving my car. Because the wheel had to be CUT off, I am down one stud on one of my wheels, which will need to be replaced, along with at least 2 more for each of the other tires. This is a financial cost that I would NOT have if my tires had been properly put on in the first place. I must now check to ensure my bolts are still tight when I go to drive any long distance until the studs are replaced.

It is very clear that the installation of my Summer tires was a RUSHED service. From my telephone bill records, I have the time of my appointment compared to the time when my car was ready to be picked up. The oil was also changed on my car during this appointment, and given the time in which my car was ready, it is obvious that this service was rushed and not done properly.

I believe it is not my financial responsibility to pay for the repairs that are now needed to my car to ensure proper function and safety of my car, as they are solely due to the poor installation of my Summer tires as done by Canadian Tire. I wish for this issue to to be seen to and resolved ASAP.

I await a response,

Canadian Tire automotive service - very poor customer service / car kept overnight

This happened on Friday, November 17th 2017 in the evening. I went in to get my winter tires installed as I had a set 4 on the rim already. They told me it would be 40 dollars for the set and they could do it in about an hour. This was fine with me and after about an hour they told me that my summer tire lug nuts were not compatible with the lug nuts they needed for the winter tires. I agreed to pay for the required lug nuts and the total came to around 78 dollars. One of your automotive employees put 2 of the wrong lug nuts into my car and jammed them. They said a mechanic would not be available until the morning and that they needed to keep the car there over night. Thankfully I live close by and walked home but I did need my car that night for a job I had committed to. I feel that this was unacceptable and would like to be credited for at least some of the bill as keeping my car overnight and jamming the wrong lug nuts into my car could have damaged it. I have had my car shaking a tiny bit on the highway and getting it checked by a different mechanic this weekend which is yet another cost and hassle for me. This was a 2010 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5S, at your London, Ontario Location of 1125 Wellington Rd. Customer name is Carlos Burgos and I do still have the invoice if required.

Canadian Tire bar stools pricing

I bought 4 bar stools a week ago and tomorrow for the 4 day Black Friday sale they go on sale for $40 less each stool. I asked if I could go in with receipt for price adjustment and was told no. I could technically return all stools and purchase them again but that's a huge hassle for me to do so. I just don't understand why they can't do a price adjustment with the receipt. That's a big difference in price. Honestly this has left such a bad taste in my mouth I don't know if I would ever shop here again. I had recommended these stools to some family members but now I'm going to get them to purchase them somewhere else

Canadian Tire snow tire service

Thurs 23rd Nov, the vehicle was taken in first thing approx. between 8.30-9 for a pre booked appointment for snow tire services. We checked in with the store at about 3-4pm who advised the fitting was on track for pick up in the evening. When we arrived at 6.30pm, 9 hours after the car was dropped off the vehicle was not ready, we had out children with us so we requested the original tires be put back on. We were persuaded against our better judgement to reschedule and were advised we could bring it in the next day. When I called on Friday lunchtime to check I could bring the vehicle in the 4 rims had arrived but I was told they were not matching so they would be reordered for Saturday. I bought the car in around 2.30 saturday and by 4pm the new tires, rims and pressure sensors were fitted. Immediately as I drive the vehicle there was a rubbing noise and I took the vehicle back to the service centre. I was advised that the rims/tires did not fit and I asked for the original tires to be put back on. I ended up leaving canadian tire at about 6pm, I'd had my 5 year old daughter with me the whole time, whilst we were offered apologies at no time were we offered a drink or any refreshment. I asked if the tv could be turned to a children channel but was told they did not know where the remote was. I had paid for the tires and my credit card was voided which I was given a void photocopy, the credit card payment has still been taken from my account and no void or refund has appeared. This whole experience and levels of care and customer service have been appalling and a complete waste of my time. As I left on saturday I was promised by Jordan that the case would be handed to his manager and I would receive a call on Monday, no-one called. I called today tues and asked to speak to a manager and was told he was in a meeting, Steve has called me back and I wasn't available and now I'm waiting for a further call.. I have no snow tires, I have $1400 charged to my credit card, I took time out of my working day on thursday and I lost 3.5 hrs of my precious weekend on saturday and have wasted further time today. Please look into this and work to implement better procedure within your stores. I wont be recommending canadian tire garage services to anyone. I can be contacted on [protected]. I would like my refund to be processed and compensation for the time I have wasted. Many thanks Joanne

Canadian Tire parts department

Store at 656 Erb St W, Waterloo. On Sunday, November 19th. The parts department at this place is a disgrace. I was there this morning and the gentleman behind the counter told me he had the rims I needed but I had to come back to get them two days after because he was alone in the parts area and he couldn't leave the counter for 25min to go get the rims. I blame the store manager and owner. They are the ones responsible for scheduling and staffing. I doubt I'll ever go back to this store and if you know what's good for you, stay away.

Canadian Tire automotive service

Oct 31, 2017.
Invoice #[protected]

Canadian Tire #424 - Automotive Service Center
2510 Hyde Park Gate, Oakville

Purchased new rims for winter tires.
Requested to have rims mounted to vehicle.

After installation, heavy vibrations when travelling high speeds. Inspected rims when I returned home to discover that they were not mounted concentric to the wheel hub. The use of studs to center the rim was done incorrectly such that wheel was off-center. In addition, lug nuts were not torqued correctly.

As this was a safety issue, I performed the remedy myself immediately.

I returned the next day to communicate the problem and was told to call the service manager, Joe, the next day for resolution. Upon reaching Joe, he quickly told me that he would call me back to resolve. It has now been almost 3 weeks and I have left two additional VMs for Joe with no reply.

I would have been happy with an apology and offer to refund the labour service cost as this could have been an honest mistake by the mechanic. Having heard nothing for 3 weeks, I feel the staff at this branch have no interest in respecting me as a customer, and more importantly, the resulting safety risk posed by their poor workmanship.

If by some miracle someone actually responds to this complaint, I would request that I receive a phone call from a representative from the service center along with an offer to compensate me for the trouble of having to do the job correctly.

Canadian Tire tire change

I showed up 15 min early for a tire change appointment at 4:00 pm on 14 Nov, I had made 2 weeks earlier, at the Canadian Tire off 97 st in Edmonton. It took them 2 1/2 hours to switch my tires over, and when I got home I found out that they didn't even lay a plastic sheet in my back seat before putting the tires in. My back seats are now a mess and I will have to pay to get the car detailed in the hopes that the stains can be removed or it will affect the resale value of the vehicle.

The fact that the store had overbooked it self to the point of a 2 hour delay was inconvenient to say the least. The fact that I now have to cover an additional cost to rectify the damage done to my interior is unacceptable.

Canadian Tire auto service department

I went to the Canadian Tire on Cremazie boulevard in Montreal, QC. I had a tire and oil change appointment at 10 am. I arrived at the store about 10 minutes in advance. It took a good 15-20 minutes just for someone to acknowledge me at the front desk. Finally, I was called forward to sign the invoice and I handed over my keys. I was asked to wait in the waiting room. Which I did... for 2 whole hours! I was furious. The whole procedure should have taken no more than 30-40 minutes TOP. Finally the guy comes over and explains to me that the tires are unaligned and asks me if I wish to get that done... I looked at him and told him I had already been waiting over 2 hours and so unfortunately for them, I wouldn't be aligning my tires with them today.. or ever for that matter.

The only reason I went to see them was because I bought my tires there and they offered a cheaper price and an insurance. I am NEVER going back to Canadian Tire for car services.

Canadian Tire auto service department

I had a tire change appointment, today, 11th November at 1pm. When I was handing in my car, I was told that the appointment would last 1 hr... an 1.5 max. Till 3:30pm... 2.5 hrs into my appointment, I patiently kept waiting in their waiting area. I finally walked over to the auto service desk, and inquired.

I understand that its the weekend and CT seemed understaffed but the auto service desk representative was extremely rude, and said "Sir you have to wait patiently..." and then glanced over to his supervisor and said, "this guy thinks he came to a McDonald's drive through"... this is no way to talk to somebody specially when you are in the wrong

CT needs to get their act together... only reason I got their auto service was because I purchased my tires from them... never getting anything done from their again

Canadian Tire service department

I had an appointment to get my tires changed on my 2013Dodge caravan today.I picked up my vehicle and then went to a Remembrance Day service at my daughters school. When we left the school my daughter said what is that mess, I looked up and the ceiling of my van was black spots everywhere.I went back down to ask what and why was that mess there. They looked at it and said they cannot remove it and they don't know what it is, They said to go to a Shine factory to see if they can remove it and they will cover cost. That doesn't cover the fact that I am using my gas and time trying to fix a problem that shouldn't have happened.I drove out to a shine factory and boom closed so that means another trip.I am not one bit pleased with this especially when they don't even know what it is.God only knows what is on my seat that I cannot see, according to the mess on the ceiling of my van.I believe I am entitled to have more than that spot cleaned. Thanks
