Booking.com review: Utterly, utterly terrible on all fronts - even negligent and certainly deceitful

Wrong information, on Flights, Car Hire and Hotels. No human beings will answer the phone. Emails not responded to until 3 days later, by fools who ask for your accommodation code and details when you have booked ONLY a flight. And they ask for your email address when they’ve just sent you an email ! The car hire info is all wrong, they trick you into insurance cover when the Car Hire company want nothing to do with it, and you are NOT covered for €1,100 damage waiver at all. They tell you incorrect cars, you book a manual gearbox car and you get an automatic. They say the "local taxes and charges" are covered in the total price. That’s a lie. They are not. Both hotels (I used) and the hire car agents charge you EXTRA either cash or additionally on your credit card. The free shuttle service from the airport - even today supposedly provided by my hotel - does not exist. The taxi fare charges are Double what Booking dot com claim. To get compulsory auto-check-in with Ryan Air, you have to arrange a completely different email address, even to get to your flight details. Ryan Air don’t care that you made the booking through this travel site. You are supposed to get 20kg for a suitcase paid for to go in the aircraft hold, but B dot C only give you 10kg, with no explanation or chance to increase it, even if paying more. I could go on and on. They are a total shower of uncaring, incompetent, deceitful fools. VERY VERY BAD.

Recommendation: Don’t use them ! If you have to, be extremely careful and don’t trust what they tell you. Also don’t imagine there are human beings who answer telephones.
