BMO Harris Bank Checking account

Let me start by saying this is a ZERO STAR review. I've been a loyal customer of this bank in Prescott, Arizona for many years. I got no notification whatsoever in the mail about my grandfathered checking account and it's minimum balance being raised from $1, 000 to $1, 500.

As I don't check the account that often as it's a P.O.D account, needless to say for 10 months straight these thieves stole $12 a month of my hard-earned money from me.

Absolute thievery period. At the time of this writing I've already filed a complaint with the Attorney General of Illinois and also the Better Business Bureau of Chicago.

There's been zero response from the BMO Harris headquarters.

I wholeheartedly advise anyone out there to stay away from these thieves. I've shared this story with many people all over this country and this bank has absolutely no ethics whatsoever!

11/15/20 Complaint filed with Attorney's General Office

08/27/2020 - Received letter from BMO Harris Bank stating they engaged Davenmuehle Mortgage dba DMI as the Loan Servicing Dept for BMO. They advised if mortgage or loan payments are through Internal Transfer, which mine is, to update after 09/19/2020. I have my checking account and Line of Credit with BMO so I updated on 09/20/2020.

10/19/2020 I received a letter dated 09/30/2020 on BMO Letterhead stating I owed $921.60 for my August and September payments, both were payments in amount of $415.48 were made internally through BMO on the 3rd of each month. 10/19/2020 I called and spoke with Shannon at the Servicing Dept who advised she did see my August payment but not my Sept payment. She transferred me to the supervisor Casey who had me send PROOF OF PAYMENTS to their Cashier Dept email. Since this is internal transfer from the BMO to my loan I sent my statements showing proof of BMO transfers. Casey advised I would be contacted within seven days.

10/27/2020 I was never contacted by BMO or Servicing Dept DMI so I called and spoke with Supervisor Felicia. Felicia with DMI advised they did received the proof and all was resolved I just needed to pay the difference for August and Sept since my Loan increased in August to $460.80 and I would be receiving a letter. I asked Felicia if she would please send me a copy of my loan documents since I could not find mine. She advised they would mail out within three days.

11/09/2020 Never received letter OR loan documents so contacted BMO servicing dept DMI again and spoke with JT. JT advised I owed for September. I asked JT about loan documents and he advised he did not see a request on these but would put one in and I should receive within a week. JT transferred me to Supervisor Kia. Kia advised I owed for September and they have my statements and are investigating with resolution date of 11/11/20.

11/12/20 Spoke with Katelin with BMO servicing department. Kateline advised I owed for August and September. I asked for Supervisor and was hung up on.

11/14/20 - Received a letter on BMO letterhead dated 11/09/20 stating: Default of Loan

Since BMO was to transfer all the information to their servicing department and did not they are responsible to resolve this with them, however BMO Bank employees state I must speak with DMI and DMI states they cannot see the information and BMO did not transfer if I made payments. This is the complete run around and is not being resolved even after I have sent proof that payments are made every month through Internal Transfer on the 3rd. BMO's servicing department is stating I am in Default on my loan even after I have sent in proof

BMO Harris Bank my account was overdrawn due to a mistake on bmo harris behalf

I received a zelle payment of $50 October 29th 2019 went to sleep with $5 left on my account woke up to -$44.68 in my account. I spoke with Diante badge 0333 I was told some how the zelle was reversed(a mistake on y'all side) and the funds wouldn't be available immediately but sometime today. October 30th 2019. I purposely left $5 to be able to eat before I began work(I'm a truck driver) I have a direct deposit for October 31st 2019. Not only is this mistake cutting in on my sleep it also is making me unable to eat which both is very dangerous for a truck driver. How are y'all able to take money immediately from me but not able to immediately reimburse my funds that should've never been touched. How can I trust BMO with large amounts of money if I can't trust them with $5 and I've only been a customer for less than a week.

I will be canceling my direct deposit and closing my account after being a customer for less than a week. It’s crazy y’all would charge me $37 for overdrawing my account but I can’t charge y’all the same for overcharging my account. A waste of time glad it was $5 and not thousands of dollars but I won’t give y’all that opportunity. Most banks would credit your account immediately but I see y’all are all about yourself and not the customers

The first time I tried to use the directexpress card, they said their machine wasn't working, I had to go to another bank to withdraw cash, then come back to make my deposit. This last time, they refused, saying they didn't do withdrawals inside. I could either go outside to the atm, then come back inside to get the denominations I needed, or go to another bank, then I would have to return to make my deposit.

BMO Harris is from Canada. They recommended Moneris Credit Card services and they said no problem and no fees. I was to save about $250-300 per year. Now we are getting no help and Moneris is trying to charge me $2650 to stop using their services after 2.5 years. We sold our dental office (Zietz dental) We are harassed weekly. Moneris threatens us and BMO Harris bank in Middleton said we can not help.

We went to DeNosha Prince BMO Harris Bank to close our bank account. When we waited in the queue and we heard the conversation of the staff. They were discussing our matter and said that we were busy and lazy. We should do it faster and now they should waste their time for us. It was unpleasant to hear it and we said the manager that we would come next time.
