Barclays Bank review: Attempted fraud on debit card
Late on Thursday, 3 August I received a call from Barclays to say there had been a possible fraud attempt on my debit card. 3 transactions were ok the 4th wasn't mine. Consequently my card was cancelled and I was told I would receive a new one within 7 working days. Today is Monday, 14th September and my new card has still not arrived. I am 78 years old, no family, live alone and have had to borrow money from friends. After numerous calls to Barclays I can get no help. I went to the Hub and the employee there said he couldn't help me (Barclays closed our branch) He directed me to a call number on the app which turned out to be a premium number but still no help. I've lost count of the number of calls I've made to Barclays. I'm at the end of my tether. Still no card arrive today in the post, I have £10 left and cannot ask friends to lend me more money. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH DISPAIR I'M SUFFERING
Desired outcome: A response, an apology and my new card
