My 80 year old mother visited the A&W restaurant in Park Rapids, MN, as she had done for the last 40+ years. Since my father passed away, Mom oftentimes orders her meals to go so she does not have to eat alone. Mom ordered a chicken slider, cheese curds and a small rootbeer float. The employee, Triston B, who took her order #AABB9NH6ACAU on 3/3/26 at 2:08:13 did not inform my mother this location no longer offers the chicken slider and instead billed her for a single HBC tender, Chz Curds and a Reg RB Float. When Mom received her order in a bad, she when to open it up and the male employee snapped at her stating there was no need to check as everything was included. Mom checked and discovered there was no bun or pickle and the rude male snapped at her and told her they don't make them anymore. Mom drive home and found that the chicken strip was filled with grizzle and could not be eaten and the cheese curds were also the worst she has ever had there. She called today, 3/4/26 and spoke with a manager who listened and told her there was nothing she could do about it as. She was not rude, but did not seem to care that my family had been visiting their restaurant for the last 40+ years and this was the first problem ever. The is not how to treat senior citizens.

I received a phone call from Owner Lori, who was simply delightful. The matter has been resolved in full and there is no need for corporate to contact this location as we have received "Disney" level customer service from Lori. Sincerely, Scott L. Holden
