Rented a car in Italy in early July for which I paid upfront (including insurance). At the rental desk in Venice, I was told I had not purchased the full insurance (what I bought was the only option) so I chose that too, and for which I was told it would be around EUR 120 for the 4 days. The car I booked was also not available, so I got 'upgraded'. In short, I ended up getting charged almost EUR 1500 for 4 days! I've raised this issue with Avis Italy since then, but I get NO RESPONSE at all. How can this be considered customer service?!
