In June 2026, I was unfairly charged $528 USD for scratches on the rental car returned at the Malaga airport. I submitted photos I personally took of the car's exterior upon dropping the car off at the airport and flying back to the USA. I explained in writing on three separate occasions to Avis-Spain and Avis-USA that there were no scratches on the car when I dropped the car off, and to refer to the attached photos taken of the vehicle that included the area of interest. Which didn't show any scratches.
It's been three months, and Avis-Malaga nor Avis-USA has Not responded to my complaint nor any of my email communications. Very disappointed with their handling of this issue. Shows piss poor customer service.
I will never rent from Avis Car Rental again!
