This has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.
AT&T makes promises to attract new customers, but in my experience, those promises were not honored. I spent countless hours talking to different representatives, only to be transferred from one department to another with no real solution.
The rewards program was especially frustrating. I was promised rewards for switching to AT&T, but later they found reasons to disqualify them instead of honoring what I was told. Every conversation ended with “Sorry,” but no one actually fixed the problem.
I deeply regret switching to AT&T. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. Before choosing AT&T, I strongly encourage you to explore other providers. It was one of the worst decisions I’ve made as a customer.
Recommendation: Never AT&T
That is deeply frustrating and I completely understand why you regret switching. Here is a practical step that can still salvage something: compile a single document with dates, names, and the original promotion details, then send a concise email to AT&T's Office of the President (you can find that escalation address online) with "Formal Complaint - Rewards Promises Not Honored" in the subject line. They have a separate team that actually resolves these issues, unlike the frontline reps. Also, file a complaint with the FCC online, as providers take those seriously. You wasted enough time, so use this one focused email as your final attempt, then move on to a provider that values you. You deserve better.
