AT&T Job offer

I went through the month long process of getting hired passed the DOT physical drug screen had a start date of the 10th. I was informed that ATT was no longer considering me because of a misdemeanor a was charged with years ago. I am a retired combat veteran I served for 17 yrs and have an impeccable work history and only the 1 charge 1 tiny mistake. I don't see how this is legal

i wasnt sure there are federal laws or should i say a federal law prohibit an employer from retracting a job offer but i live in indiana which is a right to work state so no its perfectly legal. Just doesnt seem like a good policie considering its not a violent crime offense. Having my future in the hands of a board of 5 people who have never meet or talked to me doesnt really seem that just. Good day

AT&T Scam from an Att home representative

On 5/29/21 Tim Miller, an ATT employee stopped into our apartment to check on installation service. He proceeded to sign us with cell phone service, promising our Verizon phones would be pain in full. When Mr Miller left, we he took our VZ phones with him. We are now in collections! I've reached out to several times to various departments of ATT including Mr. Miller himself and Mr Miller's Manager. Is the the ethics that ATT wishing to foster? Lying employees, scamming people in their own homes?
I want the balance of 448.20, in collections to be paid! I would also request that Mr Miller be watched by the company that employs him because this situation has stollen side deal written all over it. Again is this what AT&T is about ethically?
Attached please find a copy of the collection notification. On it you will find my address and I will include my phone number.
Your attention to this situation is greatly appreciated!

AT&T Lying to customers

April 24, 2021 I went online to get information for an upgrade. I selected the Samsung 20 FE 5G. A representative called me to discuss the phone and purchase options.
I asked about purchasing the phone outright. I was told the phone would cost $699.00 to purchase. I was not interested. The agent said I could get the phone for $300.00 if I finance over 30 months. I agreed to this. The agent said my bill would reflect the $699.00 payment for two billing cycles. Then the bill would be adjusted to reflect the $10.00 per month payment. He also advised that I would receive a credit for the two month over payment. Didn't happen.
I called customer service to try and fix the problem. I spoke for 1 hour and 17 minutes. The agent said that I could upgrade to unlimited data and that my new bill would be $106.00 plus taxes for my 3 phones. I said I would take that deal.
She had to do some more research. When she got back she said that I was no longer eligible for the promotion. She said that at&t misinformed me when I purchased my new phone.
I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was disconnected while waiting. I called back and had to wait another 15 minutes.
The bottom line is the supervisor told me tough suit. I'm stuck with this fraudulent deal.
I will be researching other companies to see what's out there. When I find something better, I will change service in a heart beat.
Ten years of being a loyal customer bought me a royal screwing.

AT&T Free iphone 11 scam with iphone 7 trade

At&t basicaly stole my iphone 7 -128 gb and tied me to a 30 month service contract. If i want the iphone 11 unlocked- i must pay off the phone. This is not the definition of free. I have been on the phone on hold attempting to discuss with corporate office and 1. I remain on endless hold 2. There is no resolution to the issue. This is fraud. At&t cheats the public and does not conduct honest business.

Desired outcome: Want “free” iphone 11 unlocked without costing me more money

I absolutely agree. Their service is terrible and I too, am now stuck with an iphone 12, of which the 12’s are terrible as well and now, I can only WISH I had my iphone 10 back! It IS a scam. I was trying to save $$ (pandemic woes) and I went from being a LOYAL TMobile customer for 15yrs, paying $55/mo, using Xfinity for my internet $65 and Hulu for my live TV another $65 as their orice went up. If I had canceled Hulu and combined Xf internet with Xf tv, it would have cost me $10 more a month. So I didn’t do it. Then I wanted to sign up with Sling for live tv bc they “had a deal.” I called and I don’t know how (another At&t SCAM for another time) but I was connected with a woman identifying herself as a “broker” and did not work for any particular streaming company. Now after the fact, I’m thinking she lied as well. She ignored me asking how I called Sling but got her, and started telling me about this awesome deal where I could bundle all three (internet, phone &Tv) AND get a FREE iphone 12 AND pay $30 less a month than what I had been paying. I mean, who wouldn’t do that? I did, At&t lied about my total bill which came to approx $25 MORE than what I use to pay and their service sucks, this iphone 12 really SUCKS and the Tv pkg is total crap.
Bottom line, I am STUCK with this deceitful company until this damn phone is paid. I am just so upset as to how gullible I was, distraught as to the lies At&t is getting away with and FUMING as to my new monthly bill i was given of which I will have to abandon other things just to be able to pay this bill for the next 23 mos of my life.

AT&T Telephone service

I bought telephone service from AT&T store and the seller told me one month free cancellation if I do not like it. I recorded conversation that when at & t sim card seller cheated me by saying one month free cancellation. After bout, I decided to cancel and with in 2 weeks and requested for cancellation on phone and also I trashed my sim card on 17th because I thought they cancelled for me. On 23rd, I called just to make sure that they cancelled. But they still did not and trying me to not cancel and get a new sim card. I said no. Finally they said my finally bill is around $81, even if I felt that is unfair amount (should be free cancellation) I called AT&T customer service and they said no bill to pay after a couple of days. I again called and asked after a month, then they told me my bill is about $250. I was shocked. I asked detail. They said I have 23 minutes long distance call and they charged me $115. Which is $5/minute. I only used WhatsApp, but they said what's up counts as a long distance call. How long distance cost $5/MNT? That is unfair. It is a right way robbery. One of the customer service said the price was wrong and he said $3/MNT. He fixed 23 mnts by 3 = $69. Still, I fell this is not fair because I search many phone company to with same country which rate is less than $0.50. Even on AT&T international call rate, I found that rate was $1.01. I have called so many times for this case and all of them asking me different price as they want to. Why? Some of them said $250, $200, $180, $180, $162, and the least one 81+69 = $150. Finally, due to different price, I paid $162.99. Which unfair. Now I decide to take this case to court due to 1st, unfair bill amount which suppose to be free cancellation fee. 2nd, due to video conversation that the seller said 1 month free cancellation fee. 3rd due to $5/MNT unfair rate which I used WhatsApp which free call for WhatsApp but the switch to long distance call. I need refund of $162.99 that I paid. If not, I will take this evidence to court

AT&T Misrepresentation of service contract for Galaxy phone

In June I inquired about the cost to add a phone to my existing ATT contract. I have been a loyal customer for more than 10 years. I was informed by the rep that if I wanted to add a phone, the phone would be free and the additional services would only increase my current bill, which was around $100, an additional $30. When I got my first bill it was $264! I called to complain and after over an hour I was told there was nothing they could do. I asked for a manager and was sent to Customer Resolution. After about another hour the rep told me he could suspend my second line and I would be charged $10 per month for 6 months. This was absurd as now I would have a product that I could not use and obligated for 2 1/2 years to pay on the free phone. Unbelievable. I submitted a complaint through their arbitration process and got a call from Anthony, in the VP office who assured me he would look into the situation and call me back within 48 hours. That was three weeks ago and I have heard nothing. I have been calling the number he gave me and left several messages and he still hasn't returned any of my calls. This company is misrepresenting products, and contract prices. I would like to return this phone as well as my existing phone and not have any dealings with ATT ever again! I want to keep my existing number however.

Desired outcome: Take all of their products back without penalty and I want no more dealings with the company

AT&T Unethical behavior/customer service/service

I've been going to this store for years and never have I ever had such a horrendous experience. I needed to update my phone plan and upgrade my phone, also sync my Apple watch with my phone since I've been paying for the line for almost two years, and it was never done. After spending almost an hour with a sales rep which gave me the impression he barely knew what he was doing, I intended on upgrading my phone. the sales rep advised he will be attending another customer and the manager would continue helping. At this point, is safe to say I did not request to speak with the manger, nor I in any case, insulted or complained with the sales rep. After spending 20 minutes waiting for the manger, he finally arrived, and helped me change my phone. At this point, the store was almost closing, and the manager was helping somebody else. When finished, I advised him I was done and leaving, he did not check my device and by the time I got home, my phone was not working since they failed to update my SIM card. I was not able to return to the store since they had already closed so I called customer service through my Apple watch. I was not able to fix it since my phone does not receives texts or calls. Since I'm working from home, I had to tell my boss I'm having an emergency and request the morning off to go back to the store for the second time and have my phone fixed. Due to everything I've explained, I want my activation fee waived since they did not do their job correctly and failed to verify my phone was properly working before I left the store and this has prevented me from going to work the next day.
Ps. I'm working from home and need my phone to be able to log in into my work computer

AT&T Lack of insurance that was requested

I am a loyal customer with AT&T. I called the company this past April with a question about my account the representative talked me into insurance on 4 lines, I agreed. Aug 6th 2021 we broke the back of my cousin's iPhone 12 and when I requested a claim I was told by Assurion that I had no coverage. I was on hold approx 6 hours in three days with no resolve. With them and AT&T. They said it would be fraud if they would back track the insurance to April. The phone broke August 6th, finally the insurance was added August 8th. I was told because I had no insurance I could get no resolve. Not fair to me and the managers I dealt kept passing the buck. In the end I just wanted my IPhone 12 256 g either fixed or replaced. I just received a call back from a friendly agent and she offered me a $60 credit, softened the blow some. I am disappointed with AT&T.

AT&T Help

Fiber has been placed in my neighborhood and it has been available for several weeks. Two of my neighbors directly across the street have been hooked up to it by installers who also told me that I can also have it as the fiber cable is activated right in front of my house and there are two different terminals that feed my house. I have called to get it no less than 6 times and ATT sales reps even came to my house weeks ago to tell me it was available. However, I am constantly told that the computer says it is not available. I have talked to supervisors and am now waiting to talk to the Public Service Commission to complain about the fact that the computer is wrong and that no one seems to be capable of correcting it. I keep being told to "wait 3 more months." Can someone please help me by fixing the misinformation that says it is not available?

AT&T Booth at Walmart

I was shopping at a local Walmart. In the electronics section, and of course blocking the aisle so no customer could avoid talking to them. An AT&T employee started his sales pitch. I told him "no thanks, man. I'm not interested". This angered him, and he started making VERY LOUD and VERY DIS-RESPECTFUL comments. I was told "oh, you don't have time to talk to me? You don't look like someone who would have anything else to do", and, "look at you! I don't even see a phone on you. Can you even afford one?". My phone was in my pocket. Apparently, he thinks there must be some requirement to wear it clipped on a belt or pocket. Anyway, this was not just extremely insulting. It was embarrassing. Several customers heard this and were staring at me. One employee of Walmart looked like he was getting ready to approach him. But I walked away rather than feed into his obvious arrogance. A Manager of Walmart was notified. So he may be reaching out.

AT&T AT&T Small Business Mobility Premier

The worst company in the world, and most despicable to their customers after giving thirty years of loyalty to these thugs. They shut off my business lines multiple times and changed my plans for two lines up to 250.00 a month and I still had no internet, and actually had no phone service. At one point, went down to 911 services only. They took months to half way fix it, but if you dare complain, they will wreck YOU!

Desired outcome: I want the full list of my credits applied! I want my time and health compensated.

AT&T Business phone

AT&T does not care about small business
I own a small business and for the past 4 months I have had numerous land line phone failures. After calling AT&T repair we did get our line fixed but it was always 2-3 days later costing my business about $1000.00 per day. I know management cannot fix a problem it does not know about so I wrote the head of AT&T in NC and told him that I was not asking for the lost revenue he had cost me, I just wanted the AT&T reliability I grew up with. AT&T PAC supporting Republicans insurrection on 1-6-22

I've been an AT&T customer for 30 years. I'm profoundly disappointed in AT&T using my money to promote insurrection of our government on 1-6-21. I would like a refund on all PAC dollars given to Qanon supporting insurrectionists. I'm ashamed to be part of an organization that supports the overthrowing of the US government.

Desired outcome: Quit supporting insurrectionists. Refund all PAC monies contributors to said insurrectionists.

AT&T Customer service/sales

Went into a store on 07/25/21 to get a wireless internet hotspot. Bought a wireless hotspot and specifically asked about refunds. The sales person walked to whom he said was the manager, returned and indicated that a 14 day return was the case. I returned it the next day due to issues with the product. Not connecting, slow speed, disconnecting. I was then told there were no refunds. I did not expect a refund of the plan and connection costs. Just the cost of the device. He said to call AT&T which I did and was transferred to a third party insurance company that had nothing to do with AT&T. Second time I hung up after thirty min.

AT&T Wireless

Traded in iPhone 8 about 9 months ago mailed it back in the box the new iphone 12 came in, come to find out the email that att sent me went to spam folder so didn't now that a return box was being sent out so for the past 7 months I've been on the phone with representatives trying to get this resolved.during that time I provide the trade in phone ime# [protected] they said it was sent to the wrong warehouse give it a couple of weeks it been months every one i talk to don't want to deal wit this anymore what i would like to see is this problem taking care of. AT&T wireless cell phones (2 phones for mother and son)

My son and I have same flipflop cell phones that we are using for number of years. We are customers for many years. I pay both phones under my account. Recently, AT&T sent by mail wireless cellphones for me and my son. The old cell phones do not work anymore. Service unavailable. Well, both cell phones have same problems. Incoming calls go directly to the voice mail. We don't hear phone ringing from incoming calls. On my phone, I told AT&T to restore my alarm clock at 6 am daily which he did. Alarm clock rings at 7 am instead of 6 am. My first day in the AT&T store was Thursday 7/22/21 and sales rep. Gerardo was so kind to help me but still trial and error. Sometimes the phone rings in the store, next day, no ringings. Problems of course are on both phones. Friday, went again to the store and same guy helped me. Friday and Saturday same guy helped me. He set it up 6 am daily alarm on my cell phone. But why is it that the alarm goes at 7 am instead of 6 am as was set on the cell phone? Finally, Sunday, July 25.2021 at 11 am I was in the store as first customer. There were two new employees greeted me. One guy and one lady. Gerardo was off that day. I voice same problems. She said, that's not their job to solve problems, it is on my own. They only activate phones. As I was talking to them I saw the Manager Tim who we know each other since day one coming to the store from the parking lot. I was happy to see him because he knows more about phones. As soon as he entered the door, he saw me and said"I am not in good mood today" I said in return"well please don't put your bad mood to me as your elderly customer ( I am female 84 years old asian american of filipino parents. The manager was angry talking very stern voice and looks. It is true that the alarm is set at 6 am but he does not believe me that it rings at 7 am. I said I have good hearing. Then he said angrily" Call 611 and talk to them, .not our job to solve your problems. Our job is only to activate phone" I asked him nicely" Can you dial the number and I will talk to them?" His answer"No, dial yourself, We don't accept craps here" I told him" This will be my last visit in your store. Be nice and respect the elderly woman, your customer for many years. I feel that time I was discriminated. Manager Tim was nice to me only when paying bills. He was there when sales rep, Gerardo was working. The lady sales rep told me that Gerardo is doing the help in his own like but not them to solve the problem. My blood pressure went high because of frustrations the ways I was treated. Both wireless flipflop cell phones are defective, Is that our fault and do they have to be angry with me? I went there alone during those days July 22-25/2021. Manager should not bring his bad mood to an elderly, asian woman like me.

AT&T Fox News

Fox News has been spewing so much disinformation about the Corona Virus Delta Variant that it is killing people. Please remove them from your TV lineup.
The Medical Profession are overwhelmed with this new variant and begging the unvaccinated to get their shot. Yet, Fox News and their pundits are contradicting the medical science and virologists and making getting a vaccination nothing but a political football. They should be chastised publicly and all Internet Service Providers should eliminate them from their line-up.

AT&T Cell tower

I have spent 800.00 to add a cell booster to my house so that I can stay with AT&T.
In Holt Florida, a rural area after installing booster my service was great.
Had my booster signal checked by Geek Squad. The problem is the tower here in Holt.
My house is 1 year old. We no longer are getting a good signal. It works intermittently. Serious downgrade in service. I am wondering if the hurricane we recently had has effected the tower. That is about the time our signal diminished.
There are 4 Verizon towers here. I choose to spend money to keep my at&t service.
I may be forced to change. I have been a customer since the 1980's.
Please have someone service our tower in Holt.

AT&T AT&T tv

I recently switch to AT & T. When I accepted the offer I made it clear that I did not want a contract of any kind and I was ensured that there was no contract. I am trying to cancel the AT&T tv service which still has not happened and I have been charge again for the service which I am no using and I was told I had to pay $440.00 for equipment in order to cancel. Please see below.

I signed up for the $139.00 plan which is what I was charged for the first billing period. On the second billing the charge ent up by $20.00 per month. I called the customer care department and was told the charge of $5.00 per month per box for equipment. When I advised I was not told that there was a charge for equipment. I was then told that I could return the equipment to the local AT&T store. I did go to take equipment back after about one and a half months because we decided to cancel completely. I told to contact customer service which I did and I was told I had to pay $440.00 fo the equipment which I could keep.
Please correct this and reimburse the $159.00 I have been charged again and tell me where to return the equipment.
Thank you.

AT&T Cable through AT&T with Direct TV

When my bill with AT&T went up by 80.00 dollars, I decided to cancel. I called the number on my billing statement and was directed to a representative who advised me that my contract had expired and that I would be charged the new amount for the current month. If I wanted to cancel the service I should do so by the 10 th of the next month, to avoid being charged for yet another month. I did as they suggested and paid the increase for the current month. When I called to cancel I was told that they would honor my request and cancel my service. I then had a new service from another provider installed. Two weeks later I received a bill from DirectTV for 113.00 dollars. I called and said that I cancelled my service on the 10 th of the month, as I had been instructed to do by their representative. The person with whom I was speaking told me I would have had to cancel by the 8th of the month to avoid being charged . Since they do not prorate, They said I owed for the entire month even though I had service with and had paid the new provider .

Desired outcome: I want them to clear my credit report, I have always had excellent credit and this is causing me so much anxiety.
