I purchased a Asko washer and dryer May 2023. My dryer stopped working Sep. 26th and I reported it immediately . I was told that by Sargeant Appliance in Rochester Hills Mi where I purchased it. " Theirs nothing we can do, this must be run through Pinnacle warranty". A week went by with no communication and then Michigan Appliance called to set a date for servicing. When Michigan Appliance came out they immediately stated that the dryer was not installed correctly. The very humble technician also determined that the drum was locked up which requires new bearrings while also both heater elements went bad. The Tech said it will require approval from Pinnacle to move forward. Weeks later nobody reached out to me so I called for an update three weeks later just to find out that they never gave approval to move forward with repairs. Now a month later they scheduled repairs to their convenience one month exactly. If Asko was confident with their products and this was a lemon. Asko should have approved a dryer replacement.As for Sargeant Appliance they lost my business . As for Asko luxury appliance NOT! junk DON'T BUY.
Desired outcome: REPLACE THE ASKO DRYER FOR THE SAKE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE
When my wife and I remodeled our kitchen, we wanted a washer and dryer to fit under the counter, so we chose Asko which fits perfectly under the counter. Just had the belt replaced in my Asko Dryer T702, a small pulley and another misc. part, and was charged for just about everything the serviceman could figure out to charge me. Rubber Belt $139, Small Pulley $71, Misc. Part $25 $235 for parts. Sales Tax $72 Labor $120 Service Charge$150 Removal & Re-Installation $25. 45 minutes later, I was out $552.
Out of curiosity, I just went online to see what an Asko belt would cost me if I had ordered it online, $30.
Would I recommend Asko washers and dryers to a friend? Absolutely not. They are really expensive, not a familiar brand so we have had some servicemen out to fix them and bc they are not familiar with the specific brand (Asko) they either cannot repair them, or they don't know what they are doing.
Unless you have to have an undercounter W & D, look into other manufacture.
