AmeriGas Propane Propane left in tank

Sold my home June 18 2021, in Ellijay GA. I notified Amerigas that my account would be terminated, what happens to amount of propane in tank. I was told my customer service that Amerigas would purchase back the propane (60%) at a cost of $479 and change. Please wait till next billing cycle to see refund, I waited till July 22 2021 and called spoke with customer service and supervisor. Supervisor told me I was given mis information, Amerigas does not purchase back propane. It has been one month since the closing of the home Amerigas Supervisor asked to call new owners to see if they would purchase propane "REALLY"

AmeriGas Propane Propane tank fill

As I write this complaint it is 7/1/21. At the beginning of June we called Amerigas to notify them that our "automatic refills" have never happened and we needed a refill right away as we were running empty. As of today, Amerigas never came to fill our tank. We have called just about daily (at least 3x/week) and asked for someone to come. Each time they told us "you're on the schedule for an emergency fill". We have also spoken to supervisors to no avail. Our tank has been empty for days now and we cannot cook for our family. It took until today when we had to track down a local trucker ourselves and got his cell phone #. He was kind enough to come out and fill the tank for us. My complaint is to Amerigas Customer Service - SHAME ON THEM! We spoke to 10 (at least) different people and not one of them got a truck out here after keeping us on the phone for 30 minutes per call. We are cutting off our service with them after this and would never use them again - horrendous customer service, inability to resolve problems, and complete lack of competance.

Desired outcome: We want a refund for the fill we just got the kind truck driver to come do for us.

AmeriGas Propane High pressure sales woman tricked me

I called for pricing and the saleswoman Heather pressured me into giving all of my information. She's insisted that I couldn't get a price until I disclosed my information first. She then proceeded with very high pressured sales tactics, pushing me to pay $170 for them to come to my house and inspect my tank. I told her that another company inspected it a couple of weeks ago, and that it checked out. She then began an attempt to haggle with me. I had to hang up on her to get her off the line. She was obnoxious. Now I'm receiving mailers. I called to be removed from the list, and another saleswoman named Mary told me that she would put in a "request", but that she doesn't know where the mailers are coming from. The following are the notes I made at the time of my initial contact. - - HEATHER IS A PUSHY SALES PERSON. SHE INSISTED ON GATHERING ALL OF MY INFORMATION JUST TO GIVE ME A PRICE. THEN SHE WANTED TO CHARGE ME $170 TO INSPECT OUR TANK. I SAID NO. SHE LOWERED IT TO $100. I SAID NO AGAIN. SHE LOWERED IT TO $69 AND INSISTED THAT IS AS LOW AS SHE WILL GO. SHE OBVIOUSLY THOUGHT I WAS HAGGLING WITH HER. NO MEANS NO! BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

AmeriGas Propane Delivery service

I can never get a firm delivery day, every time they give me a week long window. I work away from home a lot and need to be here to unlock the gates. This time they said they would be here from June 17-24, I made special plans to work from home that week to be here, well they never showed up. I called and they said it the date was changed but no one called to advise me. They moved the end date to June 29 which is totally ridiculous how can anyone with a life stay home for 10 days waiting on Amerigas. I called today and the representative had a strong accent and could hardly understand what she was saying. Well I am number 8 on the list for today lets see if they come. Funny they sure charge my credit card the first day. Last time I use Amerigas changing companies. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Desired outcome: No need I will never use Amerigas again, switching companies

AmeriGas Propane Propane and tank rental

My tank had a leak. I ran out of propane in December 2020 because of this. I called Amerigas numerous times but was left without gas for 4 days. When the delivery was made, on 12/20/20, the delivery driver saw that the tank was leaking and noted this on the receipt. The empty tank was filled with 210 gallons. He fixed something, but apparently the tank continued to leak. Because of the awful service, I switched to Ferrelgas. When they came out to put in the new tank and transfer the propane over to it on 1/8/21, there were only 51 gallons of propane left in it. I have a 900 square foot house, so obviously it had leaked. I called Amerigas and spoke to their customer service person, who could not connect me to a billing person to straighten things out with. I also sent an email using their system explaining the situation and asking for a phone call. They got the email, because it informed them of my with to terminate as well as the billing issue; they came out and removed the tank. They continue to bill me for the full amount and have not contacted me in any way to resolve the issue. I paid the bill with a credit card, then sent a dispute for the charges hoping that would trigger contact. It didn't and they are sending me the same bill.

Desired outcome: I'd like to pay the fair amount considering most of the propane leaked out of the tank they own. I should get proportional credit for the previous bill that I did pay because the tank was leaking.

service is lousy rep was called 5-12-21 said they could not help because the e-mail we gave was wrong had also called 3 months ago had lousy service that time this last they refused to put on supervisor so i am done with your company come pick up your tank within 10days by the way e-mail is the same one we have had for 10 years do to your refusal you have void our contract this is cragers at 6205 bice rd rimrock az 86335 e-mail [protected]@yahoo.com account number [protected]

AmeriGas Propane Amerigas not doing meter reads

I am being billed for a non working meter that is not hooked up to anything and being overcharged for a meter that is seasonal. I have been trying to get this resolved for 6 weeks and keep being told it is. Meter department issue and have to wait for someone to call me but NO ONE EVER DOES. No one has ever been out to read my meter but you claim you have and are overcharging me.

AmeriGas Propane Service

I signed up for the service that they keep my tank filled for me and I just pay monthly. service seemed to be going well until I realized my heat was not working. not even considering that it was possible for me to run out of propane considering they stated I would not go below 30% I had purchased electric heaters to keep my 3 children warm and finally I had replaced my heater, when the team I hired to do so came THEY (not AmeriGas) informed me of my tank being empty. AmeriGas had not filled up my take in 11 months!
Next my account had a credit of 135$ my bill for the month of March stated I owe 103.00, well common sense tells me if I owe 103$ and have a credit of 135$ that I would have a remaining credit of 32$ which AmeriGas marked as past due. this constant failure of customer service is horrible.

Desired outcome: I want AmeriGas to do better with customer service and to fix my account. the past due is inaccurate and i would like some sort of reimbursement for the stress and lack of service

AmeriGas Propane Over fill and over charge for propane gas.

I ordered 100 Gal of propane. I had a voucher for 200.00 and I paid 194.76 for the remaining amount. The driver over filled my tank knowing that Amerigas was not excepting voucher's after Dec 2020. I called Amerigas and emailed them telling them I didn't not order the amount they were charging for to come pick up their tank and gas. I was told they would pick up the tank and gas and give credit for gas still in the tank. They are still billing me an adding late charge's.

AmeriGas Propane Company stole my remaining gas left in tank

I changed service from amerigas to another company because of reason not relavent to this complaint. I had pre-bought 300 or so gallons as I've been pre-buying propane all along, close to 7 years. When the time came to switch service the tank was moved to a location for pickup by amerigas. Several months later the tank was taken out. There was close to 60% of propane in the tank. I received a bill from amerigas for 177 tank removal. I looked and amerigas had credited my account for the unused gas. Close to 1000.00 of unused gas that I prepaid for. I asked for a refund for the gas atleast some of it and was told no. Amerigas literally stole 1000 from me then had the audacity to charge me for tank removal. This complaint is you kept money I paid so technically the gas is mine not yours. I expected a refund and still do. How can this be rectified. R Hensley waxhaw

AmeriGas Propane propane

We requested a 1000 gallon fill up on 2-26-21. we were promised emergency service as we were out of heat. 10 days in a row, i was informed by the call center in india that our gas would arrive either today or tomorrow. 2 weeks later the driver shows up an announces the install on the outside does not meet code. he then calls his manager and tells me they will need to call in an expert to review the lack of a valve. now understand that this tank has been filled for 15 years and the system was installed by the propane company. needless to say i sent him on his way. i control 12 propane accounts that amerigas services, dont think they will needing their worthless service going forward.
This has to be the worst managed company in the united states, maybe the entire world. please go elsewhere for your propane needs. there are many other suppliers that actually care about their customers.

AmeriGas Propane Unresolved debacle/horrific customer service

76yr. old here, extremely ill and in assisted living - but am unable to resolve Amerigas billing issue for 4 months now on final bill. They have the absolute WORST, most utterly incompetent customer service I have ever encountered (and I've seen it all) - so the endless online complaints, lowest BBB rating etc., don't surprise me int he slightest. I'll jump out of my wheelchair for joy once I am done with this company.

My account had been always paid in full for years, but it more than tripled in Dec. 2020, that's when the communication nightmare began. I've called, chatted, emailed, called and called again and again to no avail - other than one manager (Patty) sending me an unexplained "update" and then she never finished the conversation.

The next month after my bill more that tripled... it DOUBLED again the next month, then went to $907.34 at one point. That's enough for half the complex I lived in at the time. They did a bunch of bungled/not properly explained credits and say that I still owe them $757.34, which I am not about to pay.

Desired outcome: Immediate resolution by email, because calling has wasted far too much of my time.

AmeriGas Propane Tank refill

We have been loyal customers of AmeriGas for over 15 years. We always pay in full and refill our tank annually. This year, 2021, we have been so frustrated with AmeriGas that we are now checking into other companies. If we find one to meet our needs, we will be switching and never looking back. We called on January 29, For a tank refill. We were around 24% at that time. We were guaranteed delivery no later than February 12 which was prior to the ice storm and single-digit temperatures in our area. February 12 came and went. We didn't get delivery of propane (even though we called to check on our delivery status) Until February 24. Thank goodness our power did not go out during the ice storm because we had to live solely off of electric heaters during that time because our propane was out. I even let them know upon our initial request that we go through about 2% of our tank a day and it would be running out soon. When you have little ones In the house, you worry. In the area in which we live… The weather was not bad during the weeks that we should've had our delivery, our driveway was not impassable, and there would've been no issue with delivery.

I called to bring up these concerns and they weren't even interested in providing a 5 or 10% discount due to our Inconvenience and increased electric bills during the 2 week extended time Beyond our guaranteed latest delivery date. So that shows me right there, that AmeriGas could care less about their customers and providing good customer service. We are very loyal to the businesses that take good care of us. AmeriGas is no longer one of those companies. We keep emails and letters stating that AmeriGas has improved and is now providing excellent customer service and has changed their methods… I can guarantee you that that is not true from our standpoint. How frustrating… We're going someplace that actually appreciates our business. And we will be sharing our experience with all of our family and friends.

AmeriGas Propane Lack of timely residential propane service

I've made 7 contacts with Amerigas for a prepaid tank fill. My tank ran empty requiring an in home inspections for leaks. I was told my delivery would be 3/4/21 and that I must be home. Amerigas delivered on 3/3/21 with no notification. They filled my tank and then dismantled it to interrupt service until it can be inspected for leaks. When I phoned on 3/04/21 to set up an inspection appointment, I was informed that no appointments would be available until 3/10/21. I have been without heat for two days already and that will add an addition 6 days without service. I have a $1200 credit with Amerigas with no way to get a refund, no way to discontinue service and have the tank pulled, nor will another company fill or service the tank as it is Amerigas owned.

AmeriGas Propane Billing statement

My name is Darrel Balancier, account number [protected] and my residence address is 11790 Avocado Lane, Moreno Valley, CA 92555. Please contact at [protected].
I made a total of four (4) calls in the month of February, each Monday to be specific. The calls were made to your customer service department concerning the bill I received dated 1/26/21. My question was this. Why on the billing invoice was I being charged for 150 gallons, when on the receipt left by the propane driver Samir Olvera ID: [protected], it stated the 250 gallon tank I have was 47 % full before it was filled and it was filled to 80% full. The receipt also indicated he delivered 84.7 gallons on 1/19/21.
If my 250 gallon tank was 47% full, that equates to 117.50 gallons were in the tank. Since it was filled to 80% full that equates to the tank having 200 gallons in it.
The customer service representatives stated they could not answer this question because I am on a metered account and someone from the metered department would call me back within 72 hours. And after 696 hours I have not received a call back. I was trying to get this resolved prior to the payment due date of March 2. I paid $439.64 for the 84.7 gallons that was delivered to my tank on 1/19/21. I DO NOT have a meter on my tank but on my property I have a second house (Granny Unit -11790 Avocado Lane #B) which does have a meter under the name of Violetta Advincula.
I am still waiting for the answer why I was charged for 150 gallons?

AmeriGas Propane Propane

On February 12 of this year, my propane was getting low and my regular provider couldn't keep up with the demand. So I contacted the Amerigas company closest to me (Wynne, Arkansas). I set up an account and paid for propane with my debit card. I was told someone would contact me to set up a time to come out. On the next Tuesday(Feb.16), I was below 5% on my tank, so my regular provider, the Farmer's Co-op, came out and filled up my tank. I then emailed Amerigas and received no reply. so I called them. A fter being on hold for 40 minutes and talking to two representatives. I was told I would receive my refund in 3 to 7 days. That did not happen. so on the 25th. I tried calling again only to get a recording saying they were experiencing problems. So I found an 800 number on their website and called it. The woman I talked to acknowledged that she found where I had called and been promised a refund. But she said they would have to do an investigation and that could take up to 3 weeks. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office.

AmeriGas Propane Propane delivery cancellation

On 2 FEB 2021 I requested my propane tanks refilled. The tanks were never filled in the allotted time frame. I finally got in touch with Amerigas customer service in India and they tried to schedule new dates. I called India again and want to cancel my delivery. When the tanks completely run out I am switching propane service. The Amerigas customer service told me that I cannot cancel my delivery service.

AmeriGas Propane Propane tank

We just had a winter storm and are metered neighborhood. Amerigas knowingly let our propane run out. It has been 48 hours and we still do not have heat. 40+ resident calls with different answers depending on who they spoke to, and they were supposed to do safety checks today but did not turn off the valves to all the homes the day prior so they spent half the day Turing off valves. They only worked from 10-4 in an emergency situation where some homes reached 40 degrees. I am appalled at the lack of honesty, organization, communication and diligence. They spent much time trying to fix a meter as well instead of turning on homes. We are on a boil water notice and cannot boil water! I have 2 small children and an immunosuppressed husband with no heat and cannot boil water. It is ridiculous how long they are taking to complete these checks and get homes up and running. We had a truck come fill the tank 2 days before running out but did not fill it enough and they knew we would be without propane. We deserve better and more transparency, especially for the cost we incur monthly for propane. They should wave fees for this month based on the situation we have been put in. People have died in this storm based on these types of situations and you all should be ashamed.

AmeriGas Propane Non delivery

Delivery requested on 2/05/21. Has not been delivered as of today, 2/19/21. Chat not available on my webpage. Customer service cannot give me an answer as to when or if I will get this order filled. Have made 3 calls to customer service with no answer nor any resolution to my dilemma.

AmeriGas Propane Double charged/owed refund

My father had service with Amerigas, Monthly Billing Plan. Father passed away on 9/15/2020. We sold his house on Jan 15, 2021.

We paid the monthly bill through Feb 1, 2021. Amerigas doubled charged the Estate Checking Account for the Feb 1, 2021 payment.

Amerigas system shows that we are due a refund of $448.00.

I have spent over an hour on the phone this morning getting the run around from Amerigas Customer Service.

I need the refund so I can close out my fathers Estate.
