Won’t deliver
I ordered propane in November and they won't deliver it! I have called several times and emailed them. Customer service finally answered after a 52 min wait and said they would deliver by end of December. Still haven't showed up and it's January 8th. Totally unacceptable!
Desired outcome: Deliver my propane!!
Lack of delivery of propane
We are under contract with Amerigas. Requested delivery on December 11, using online option and have confirmation number [protected] for delivery by 12/21. It is now January 8. We called on 12/28, 12/30 and 1/5. Each time we were promised "tomorrow" but still no delivery. Called again on 1/6 in the evening and was told "expedited", probably tomorrow. Still no delivery. We turned it off at two percent to avoid safety issues associated with running it out. I tried the email option 1/6, but got no response other than the auto reply indicating receipt. I used the chat function yesterday, and was again promised "expedited".
We are trying to manage with a space heater, but it is not really adequate.
Desired outcome: Delivery of the propane
Delivery
On 12/15/2020 I purchased $400 of propane gas which was suppose to be delivered between 12/16 and 12/24/2020. It is now 1/8/2021 and I still don't have my gas. I have completely run out of gas over a week ago. I have been calling about my delivery since 12/24/20. Every time I call the customer rep tells me they will send my delivery to escalation unit which...

I ordered Propane from Amerigas on December 7, 2020. I have been a customer for 28 years in good standing. It is now December 31, 2020. I still have not received propane after numerous calls. They now hang up on me when I call to see my status. In June of 2020 I paid Amerigas a 150.00 contract fee for lock in price and 10 business day delivery. They have...

CVS Pharmacy at 8520 Camp Bowie W Fort Worth, TX 76116 has no key to open the AmeriGas cage for over 2 months now. I drove to 2 more CVS locations and both were out of gas. CVS says that AmeriGas will have to bring a new key.
Propane Service
We ordered propane on Dec 21st and paid the $200 expedite fee to ensure we had heat and hot water for Christmas. They did not deliver within the 48 hr timeline. I called 3 times on the 24th and was told a supervisor would call me. Needless to say, I didn't get a call back and had no propane for Christmas. I called again on the 26th and was told a delivery hadn't been scheduled yet and the supervisor would call me. I still was not called back. On the 27th I called again and the call center person told me it was still on process and that she would put me on the emergence order list. Even having an Autistic child didn't get me service. Ridiculous.
Desired outcome: Delivery of propane; refund of expedite fee; and a discount.
I have had he same issue, sent order in the 18th, very low on propane, one customer service person, told me lie after lie, called back the next day and ask to speak to the "retention" dept, person was nice, but more lies, she said she would put me on the expedite list and I would get propane by the first of this week. Didn't happen. So after reading the 102 reviews with the same issues, I am going to cancel this group, after being with Servigas for 18 years, and never having an issue like Amerigas gives to its customers. Was wondering if this company is run by liberals, and if you remember they promised to make life difficult for all those that voted conservative, so am wondering how many on this list are conservative. I am going to file a complaint with State General Attorneys office, the BBB, and look for the regulating dept that over looks how these propane companies, because this is absolutely terrible. People could freeze to death without a way to heat their homes, and not fire places or stoves.
I tried to light the pilot, but I had no luck
I ordered my propane early, and it was delivered in a timely manner (no complaints). I tried to light the pilot, but I had no luck. A friend came over and he tried and was also unsuccessful. I tried to call Amerigas, but that's a joke. The usual waiting time was 82 to 90 minutes, but amazingly I finally got through I spoke with the representative, and he said let me check to see it they do repairs in your area. When he got back on the phone he said they did and they would call me back in 2 to 3 days. Of course, that never happened. Even when I explained that I am 74 years old and that is my main source of heat. I think that Amerigas took on more than they can handle. You have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with!
Automated answering service.
I have trying to get in contact with someone at America's for over 2 weeks to purchase a 500 gallon underground propane tank. No luck.
I live in Jasper Texas.

Delivery services
I placed an order to refill my 500 gallon tank on 12/2. The tank was at 20% full. I received a text saying they would be here between 12/3 and 12/14. I called their automated system and confirmed the delivery twice.
Today is 12/14. My tank has dropped down to 5% so I need to be here when they fill. I called to find when they would be here.
The customer service rep started lecturing me about calling when the tank is down to 30% instead of 20%. When I told her that I didn't need a lecture and that I need my tank filled, she told me it would be a $300 fee to get them out here today otherwise it would be 7 - 10 days.
I asked to speak to her supervisor (Nicole) and after 30 minutes waiting on hold someone named Lisa picked up and told me that I had been sent to their general telephone call line and she did not know the supervisor (Nicole) that I was waiting for.
It is winter, I have children in the house and need propane for heat. AmeriGas is not delivering the service they said they would as such, they are jeopardizing the safety of my family.
I'm currently having the same issue. Its almost 1 month and they have not delivered my gas. Are there any regulatory agencies we can report this issue to. Its ridiculous.
I am in the same boat as you. I ordered and paid for a delivery 3 weeks ago. I have now run out of propane. I have no heat or hot water and all they tell me is they will send someone out. I have a disabled son with body temperature regulation issues, it’s 7 degrees here and nothing! Other than sorry, someone will call you. 3 weeks! Who regulates this, who is held responsible?
customer service, contacting, delivery
I am serviced by Amerigas of Colchester, Killngworth, CT. My delivery schedule has been changed. When I call the phone numbers provided there is no answer, or 80+minute wait time. I ordered a delivery on 11/18/20, with an indicated delivery of 7 - 10 days. @ 12/8/20, still no delivery..

Grill propane tank exchange
I needed a refill on my grills propane tank and went to the local Sam's Club (Loveland, CO) and used the Amerigas vending machine in front of the store. I did everything as instructed including paying for the exchange cylinder ($15.84). I put my empty tank in the top carousel, closed the door and the bottom carousel door opened. I took out the tank assuming that was my exchange with full propane. However, it was empty! I paid for an empty propane tank. I verified that it was empty by weighing it — about 15 ponds — the tare weight as listed on the tank collar.
I asked Sam's Club personnel and they said it was not their responsibility. The phone number on the vending machine was for the main headquarters — not he local distributor. I called it anyway, but there was no answer after 15 minutes. I located the phone number of the local distributor in Fort Collins, CO and they have a call wait time of more than an hour-ridiculous — I wouldn't wait that long. The wait time did not significantly change over the 2 days I've tried to reach them.
I received a receipt as printed by the vending machine — but I can't read it because apparently it is out of ink. I have bank records to verify this purchase though. I want this resolved because I do no like to be scammed even if it was not intentional. The purchase date was 12/2/2020.

Lack of concern
In the terms and conditions stated by amerigas (pg. 6 last paragraph) in bold capitalized words "do not run out of gas, serious safety hazards, including fire and expolision, can result." I wont mention the following notes below this headline. With that being said I am beyond frustrated with reason that I have now dropped far below the mentioned 20% fuel level. I called on nov. 17th noticing it was at 20% even though my account is set for regular forecasted deliveries. After that I continued to call daily for the past 2 weeks. It is now dec 2nd and I have been told 5 times I was put on the emergency delivery request which would take 24 to 48 hours. As frustration built I requested twice to speak with a supervisor but they were unavailable both times. My last phone call today I was again told I was put on the emergency request and that I should receive tomorrow. Because I have been told the same thing prior I decided I would call the emergency phone number. The associate specified that this line only deals with leaks but inquired more for me. Come to find out it was flagged but there was not an estimated date of delivery, meaning to me, I was not even on the coordinators dispatch and not included to be part of the route tomorrow. This representative insured me she spoke directly to the dispatch and that I will need to be present tomorrow when the delivery comes because of the of the current percentage. I do believe that there must be a lack of communication within the company and that there is a lack of transparency to the costumers. I do have to say I did talk to 3 particular associates that seemed to really care and did all they could in the position they hold within the company. I do hope to receive the request that has been put off for 2 weeks.
Delivery request; customer service contact
Since Amerigas purchased Heritage, human contact is gone! I live in a mountain community that is remote! I could always depend on my tank being filled in november in anticipation of snow or inclement weather! We have a whole home generator and our gas furnace which both eat the gas! I have been set for delivery on november 16 & nothing! My tank is at 35%. Your gauge on the website shows 42%! I used 5% from saturday to tuesday! It would be comforting to at least have someone to talk to. I am a 15 year customer and really don't want to leave. Every time I call the recording tells me I have a wait of at least 60 minutes! That is not right
I am having problems getting a refund for their work that was not done properly.

non-existent customer service, breaking/entering customer's property
I do not have an Amerigas account. I tried to establish one, but they claimed my address already had an account. The previous owner of my home had an account, which she closed in April, 2019.
Amerigas came to the home on the day we closed, and filled the LPG tanks, inspected the tanks, and were notified we'd purchased the home and needed a new account.
In September, Amerigas came onto my property and capped off/locked two tanks, one of which they own (had been leased to previous owner), and capped a tank owned by the home.
LET ME REITERATE.
AMERIGAS BROKE INTO A LOCKED GATE, ON WHICH THERE IS A "NO-TRESPASSING SIGN", AND LOCKED OFF LPG TANKS THEY DO NOT OWN OR LEASE. In any realistic world, this would be breaking and entering, with theft as an add-on.
They did not notify us that they were coming, and did not notify us that they'd been.
They *broke* through a locked gate, marked "NO TRESPASSING" in order to do so.
Then, they wanted a $150.00 inspection fee, wanted to charge us for the gas in the tank that the previous owner paid for, and want another $250 to uncap the tank that is privately owned (same tank they capped without permission).
When we threatened them with legal action and going to the BBB, they said "We don't want to do business with you, so 'eff off. " Now we are stuck with locked tanks, can't feed our stove, fireplace, nor spa and it's 30 degrees outside.
These are horrible people. I feel the local manager, Mr. Najarian, is a racist, foul-mouthed pig, on top of being a liar having made multiple claims about the previous owner of our home not having paid her bills (she sent us a copy of the closed account/paid balances), that the tanks were unsafe (Amerigas inspected the tanks when we took ownership), and that the previous owner had not transferred the fuel to us (the previous owner had written a letter Xferring the fuel). He also promised to amend the problem the same day, and it's 2 months past his promise, ergo, a lie.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
propane delivery, scheduling inspection and tank removal.
I contacted Amerigas of Port Hadlock to deliver propane to my address which I already had a rented tank from them. It had been some time since my last propane delivery, so they said they needed to do an inspection of the system. I agreed and set up an appointment for a employee to do the inspection. Amerigas could not give me a time for the inspection on the scheduled day, but said they would call. I stayed home that specific day for the inspection, but no call.
I had to leave for a couple of weeks for work and when I returned I contacted Amerigas at Port Hadlock at there office and told them of the problem that no one showed up. No response! I again asked them to fill the tank and again they said I had to set up an inspection before they could do that. I then asked what the cost was for propane and they quoted me a price that was thirty cents higher than the competition. I asked them to come and pick up the tank as they did a week or so later.
Amerigas charged me $59.99 for a dispatch charge and $68.00 for labor to come and pick up there tank! Total of $127.00! I had rented it for years.
I find this unacceptable and will definitely NOT recommend Amerigas to anyone period!

The flag at the Schuyler County Illinois location is tattered and torn and should be taken down until it can be replaced. It has been in this condition for almost a month or more.
This doesn't present a good imagine for your company or its name. They should show more respect for the flag and what it represents.
Thank you in advance for seeing that this matter is taken care of in a timely manner.
