American Home Shield [AHS] review: Refuses to replace 30 year old ac and wants to charge me $1000s each year for repair to the same system

I have been with AHS for over 10 years, of late the services has become awful. In 2019 during the hottest months of the year in Georgia, my AC unit did not work and AHS would not hold the contractor responsible. Ultimately, at the end of hte summer after I had spent nearly $1000 up freon and other cost (supposedly not covered by the warranty), it was opeatible in August. I informed AHS at that time it was still not working properly. I turned the system off in September. Before I even turned the system back on this year, I had the $75 inspection done and it revealed that i needed additonal parts and freon that would cost me in excess of $1000. I explained that this should have been realized and corrected 8 months ago. But AHS put me on hold for over an hour and no one answered. Then I got another call informing that the service would cost over $1000. The system is over 30 years old and the contract states AHS can replace the system. I am feeling helpless that large companies forget who they are here to serve and give us a hard time every step of hte way to get what we have paid for. I got a warranty for a reason.
