First Canadian Insurance Corporation Extended Warranty

Had a vehicle service agreement where stated a refund of $1800 was to be available after 5 year/140000km with no claims. The refund was no longer available to me claiming because of a 90 day time period. Maybe this is standard practice but I will STRONGLY SUGGEST against Service warranties with this company.

It’s a fishy idea to advertise a refund with that is so difficult to receive. Like a gift card with an expiry date.

Recommendation: Don’t purchase Extended warranty from them. If so cancel earlier than later

First Canadian Insurance Corporation Had to buy a life insurance policy for an RV purchase and financing

Had to buy a life insurance policy for an RV purchase and financing. Was told if financing was paid off early, policy fee would be refunded. Policy was $4800.00, refund I received after 5 weeks of supposed insurance was only $3500.00? It cost me $1300.00 for 5 weeks of insurance! Dealership did not disclose fine print on forms being signed, just told me policy was refundable.

Try to get people to purchase life insurance, in the event of a loss of life when purchasing a vehicle. Then when one of the 2 owners of the vehicle passed away, they declined payment to the sole survivor. If they aren't going to actually stand up on their end of the policy, they should require a medical BEFORE selling their products to customers. Absolutely disgusting and falsely misleading company.

First Canadian Insurance Corporation Timing chain Issue with my 2014 Audi Q5

Timing chain Issue with my 2014 Audi Q5. *** was my representative. Helped my thoroughly. Dealt with my dealership directly. Navigated the dealership invoicing them directly which was not what my dealership initially suggested. Got my invoice reduced significantly by suggesting alternative methods to the repair. Didn't cover ALL the new parts suggested by the dealership which is an arguable point! Overall *** was VERY supportive and eased this very expensive process! THANKS ***.

Purchased Ultimate warp protection, but when the time came there were excuse and loop holes to deny the claim. Simple if you purchase extended Warranty from FCPP you will not get the protection you paid for. BE SMART AND SAVE YOU MONEY. The rating of 1.35/5 should tell you all you need to know. I wish there was a no star option, because even 1 star is 1 too many for FCPP.

I bouuth a new car 6 year ago and got the platinum shield protection. I notice a few weeks ago that the paint of my bonnet is gone in some spots. I call the company since I still have my warranty and they declined it. So be careful that what they offer is not what you receive.

First Canadian Insurance Corporation ***

. We purchased coverage on the prime selling point of a refund potential at the end of the term. Good luck in getting anything refunded! We had a few minor repairs bills that we footed the bill for during the course of our coverage that we elected to pay out of pocket with the intention of recouping the $2000 as had been stated at the time of purchase. There is zero notification from the company as they hope the consumer misses their arbitrary deadline thus releasing them from liability.

First Canadian Insurance Corporation *** Insurance provider!

Insurance provider! I got this insurance through a car dealership to protect my car loan from involuntary unemployment. When i got laid off from my part time job and my full time job due to the covid-19 crises,I applied to get my payments taken care of from them, but got declined! There reasoning was that my involuntary unemployment was only temporary!Dont ever get this insurance if you buy a vehicle through the dealership.

First Canadian Insurance Corporation Do not buy anything from this company

Do not buy anything from this company. Purchased a Ultimate wrap my vehicle protection plan from them. the Business manager said most things were covered, except brakes wipers and the wear items. Buried in the fine print was that my repair at $5000.00 plus was not covered, along with many other items. If you want a company to stand behind thier product purchase the manufactures extended warranty from *** themselves. The review rating says it all and wish i had researched this further prior to putting good money out. can you leave a zero star review

First Canadian Insurance Corporation I bought extended warranty from FCPP though ***

I bought extended warranty from FCPP though ***. when I needed service (lost key) they declined to cover the service. I had to pay for the service out of my pocket. any other maintenance required is labelled as tear and wear and not covered. they advertise that I can get a refund if I don't use the coverage for the term of the policy. my policy expired in the middle of the Covid 19 crisis. they have a policy that refund must be claimed 90 days after the expiration date. one day over the 90 makes you loose your money. Not advised and will never buy their service again

First Canadian Insurance Corporation Stay away from First Canadian Extended Warranty for your vehicle !

Stay away from First Canadian Extended Warranty for your vehicle ! They treat customers and dealers like common criminals every time you try and make a repair claim on a vehicle. Big fight with every repair. They denied a large claim near the end of my warranty with a flimsy excuse. With them it's like "if you would've purchased your warranty on a Wednesday we would cover your repair but you purchased it on a Tuesday so you don't qualify". *** I wouldn't take their warranty again if they gave it to me for free. Avoid First Canadian like you would a deadly plague !

First Canadian Insurance Corporation Just tried to redeem my experienced based refund for my mechanical Breakdown insurance Policy and they told me I have missed my window to claim

Just tried to redeem my experienced based refund for my mechanical Breakdown insurance Policy and they told me I have missed my window to claim by 154 days. No notification was given to alert me that my policy had expired or that I have 90 days once my policy expires, apparently, you need to set a calendar reminder 5 years to the date in order to get any refunds. They also referenced a document that I signed at the dealership but never received a copy of which outlines the date, they just had to email it. This company is crooked and preys on people who forget to call in immediately once their policies expire. DO NOT USE FCPP.

First Canadian Insurance Corporation Well I wish I would have come on here and checked the rating and reviews before purchasing extended warranty with this company

Well I wish I would have come on here and checked the rating and reviews before purchasing extended warranty with this company... Unfortunately our experience with them sucks. The transmission went in our truck and our coverage only went to 143 441 kms, our truck was over this by 5600kms. I realize its over the km coverage but I was hoping that possibly there would be a little something they would be willing to help with since it was so close. But all I got was an *** rude *** man on the other end of the phone. I would have been better off to save my money I wasted with them and put it away and pay for repairs myself. I don't recommend buying this from them, save your money!

First Canadian Insurance Corporation WASTE of money!

WASTE of money! My exhaust pipe in my 2017 (bought in 2017) car broke and now my car keeps dying. Never been in an accident. Nothing hit my car. I didn't drive over anything. I live in a mild climate area. Its just happens to be a part that isn't covered? No reason for the pipe to just break. It costs over $600 to fix plus the cost of paying excessively for useless, pointless coverage. What is the point of having coverage when it doesn't cover repairs needed to make the car usable? Their logo "peace of mind." is a lie and infuriates me every time I look at their brochure. So frustrating. Only reason why I agree to buy it was because I want my car fixed if it breaks down, which they promised...but then my car actually does breakdown, and sorry not covered. :(

I have had the same issue as ***. In 2016, when I purchased the policy, who would say "Oh dear, they don't cover pandemics!" and then turn down the policy? In reality, like most insurance, this is a fully legal *** that probably pays

First Canadian Insurance Corporation A few months after I bought my vehicle back in December a friend of mine laughed at me when I told him I had extended car warranty (

A few months after I bought my vehicle back in December a friend of mine laughed at me when I told him I had extended car warranty (Ultimate Wrap) and now I realize why. I have been driving my car normally for close to 2 years now and haven't had any issues with it nor filed any claim for any breakdowns. However, I recently took my vehicle to a *** dealership for regular maintenance and while at the dealership they discovered that a rope had somehow gotten stuck to my CV joint and caused the CV boot on the right side to leak out. This would have caused the CV axle to break from the wheel while driving and cause severe damage to the car and likely make the driver lose control. My warranty contract states that Drive Axle including CV boots are covered and it does not explicitly state that coverage would not include mechanically failure from road debris that is common in normal driving conditions. Now this company, FCPP, has rejected my claim for this repair on account that the rope that was trapped is a foreign object. This is such an absurd excuse considering that I paid a whole $3200 for this coverage. It seems like they automatically reject all claims with some flimsy excuse.

First Canadian Insurance Corporation The reviews on here say it all

The reviews on here say it all. I called in a couple years ago to double check on the process for my eventual claim of my warranty refund. I was told by the man I spoke to that my KM count was the most important metric to use. It went against the documentation but he reiterated several times from my recollection that I would need to reach the minimum KM over the date. Of course I don't have the recording to prove it unfortunately. I was on pace to beat my KM minimum before my policy end date before COVID but now I am not close. I focused on the KM unfortunately and eclipsed my policy end date. I called in to ask about it mid-last week and told them what I was told. Perhaps they recorded calls and could go back to it. Of course reading the reviews I would imagine even if they did have the call logged they would never say that. I was told that they would ask the manager to look into my call and call me back - its now been over a week without being called back. When I said what had happened the person I spoke to said "I don't know why anyone would tell you that" which again, seeing the reviews here I would certainly not put it past someone to say that in order to perhaps focus me away from the expiry date - which would be a whole other level of dishonesty. Shame on me for not focusing on the expiry date anyway but very disappointed in the whole process.
