is it a scam?
I had a girl come to my door very bubbly and believable after much hesitation I let her in and ended up giving her a check for a magazine to go to the marines and diabetes foundation also getting something. Didnt feel good about it and when I called to cancel coulnt get ahold of anyone at the number. Global marketing is also on the receipt. Am I dumb or is this legit? HELP! Never again! ftft was who I made check out to.

scam
Two guys came to our door and told us they were selling magazines for a scholarship. They said they would gain points for purchases, but that we could cancel as soon as we bought and they would still get the points. After purchasing two magazine subscriptions for $71.00 each, we've been trying to cancel for days and no one ever answers the phone but the machine. We mailed in our cancellation, but our checks were deposited anyway and we haven't heard anything. Obvious scam.

fraud and scam
OMG! These people are unbelievable. There were 2 girls *Sunny Beams* and her sister *Helen Beams* who showed up on my door step at noon on January 26, 2008. They explained how they were in highschool & working for a trip to Mexico by selling magazines. I explained how I wasn't quite ready to fit this into my budget, but if they'd come back in a couple of weeks... They offered to hold the check for 2 weeks, so I agreed. I post-dated the check for February 9th. I was tender hearted & agreed to buy a 4 year subscription to HOME magazine. On February 4th, my check cleared the bank! Also, I checked online & AmericanCashAwards.com website was down.
When I called them, they 'did not have my order entered' and were very rude. I asked why I was lied to & they said it wasn't them, but Face to Face Inc. I asked for a phone number to Face to Face, but they said they were under contract to NOT give out that info. They gave a PO Box I could write & MAYBE they might give a refund. According to them, they took the points away from *Sunny Beams* and also took another 4000 points away. I asked for someone to contact me from Fact to Face, to no satisfaction. When I asked for their business license # they refused to give it & said I could contact the Colorado Secretary of State for that information. I asked if they were licensed to do business in my state & they claimed to be protected by the Federal Trade Commission.
AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS!

I was called by someone named David Washington who said that I had won 5.9 million dollars and a 2021
Mercedes and I also would receive $10, 000 a month for life. He then proceeded to give me a claim number
and a password. He said that I would be responsible for paying a 1% tax charge on the prizes which amounted to $2, 500. When I asked if he could take the tax from my prize he said no. He also gave a phone number to call [protected]. He said that he represented American Cash Rewards which I Know is a scram.
I was called by a Mr. Tom Peterson and told I won 2nd pr4ize of $550, 000 but it order to receive I had to give them $900 for processing before they could deliver the prize. I offered to give it at the same time I got their check but they insisted they couldn't process the check without the $900. I'm sure now it is a scam.
Ina Sandoval [protected]. I was pressured into buying magazines from them about a year ago -- the same co., I bet.
I was reading another complaint on the same company and a comment by another person gave this number to the sight and said they were very easy to work with. I hope this number helps you. ...[protected]... Good Luck
Well I was told that my check would never go through. I guess I am stupid for believeing your untruthful children. Maybe you should teach them not to scam people. Sorry we try to help your sick children out. What has this world come to?
I've worked in the magazine biz for about 3 years now, and you people that say we r a scam really cant say that, because your the ones that r giving my kids the money its not like were taking it from you, and also if you read you contract it says checks r deposited right away.
so your the dum one for be leaving someone you don't even know.
can't reach real person to cancel
I am trying to cancel a magazine subscription but cannot reach a person to actually cancel and the website does not exist. I am cancelling this order within the timeframe stated.

I ordered magazines from two kids and tried to cancel before the date, due to how rude they were being to me and the cost was very high. I did all the rite canceling procedures, and that was in aug of 2017 i still have not recevied my money back, i kept calling them and they say that they'll put me on a list to get it to me faster and now its jan 2017 and i still have not got my money. Now i try calling them and they never answer the phone and i cant not leave a message for them to call me back. I'm so tired of dealing with this, i'm sersiously thinking about calling a lawyer. Thank you Marie Renfro

I ordered a magazine from a kid going door to door. I decided I did not want it after all and followed the refund steps they provided me. That was 9 months ago. I have called and emailed numerous times to finally be told that this company is going under and basically ignoring people that have not received a refund they requested and/or the product. So why are these people still going door to door?! Why can't they be stopped by the BBB? People are basically getting money stolen from them and it is still happening. How can this be stopped? You would think they would be out of financial trouble now considering they are taking people's money and not producing a product!
I just got scammed this afternoon. And normally I am very good at spotting and avoiding a scam! This girl was good. She was very chatty and friendly and before I knew it I was handing over $51 cash for a gift subscription to "cancer research".
I mailed away my cancellation as soon as she left and from what I've read above, I shouldn't expect a refund. And no doubt the charity subscription was totally bogus.
I learned a hard lesson today and I think from now on I will NEVER answer my door unless I am sure I know the person! I suggest anyone who reads this does the same.
I got swindled by a similar company. Only once have I received what could laughingly be considered a response. I've somehow gotten a second magazine subscription out of it (neither of which is what I asked for), so I find solace in that. I'll also never again sign up with these companies, which makes me sad because I know some legitimate groups use this tactic.

The same thing is happening to me as well. I am going to contact the BBB, FTC, and Good Morning America. Sounds cheesy, that last one, but sometimes they can really get things done. This company is a scam. Period. They need to be put out of business. I have actually placed a stop payment on all checks and any ACH amounts that they might try to draft, then I am closing my accounts. They won't get any money from me...but it's just that I had to pay money to put stop payments on these checks that irks me the most.
Same thing is happening to me. I reported them to the BBB and they have not responded to them either. It is time we put a stop to this scam and I am doing all that I can. Report them so that they can be stopped.
product/money back not received
In November I got a visit from a representative of American Cash Awards offering me a subscription for a magazine.. Thanks to my dumbness I got it and paid with a check, but I asked for the cancellation right next day! I sent a copy of the receipt provided and after dozen emails exchanged asking for my money back (detail: an operator confirmed my cancellation request) they said that I would have the refund in 6 weeks. Well, 12 weeks has passed and I still had not got anything; either the magazine or the refund. Now they instructed me to call someone that does not have anything to do with them to process my complaint... totally scam!

scam
There are jobs availiable for kids between the ages of 18 and 25 to work for traveling jobs. I attended the training for a few days and saw it first hand. I had to get out of there. This job cosists of door to door magazine sales, traveling from coast to coast. They give you a percentage of the sales you make. If you do not satisfy the managers they yell at you and put you down. They advertise all over the internet, craigslist is a big one. DO NOT do these jobs if you see an ad and hear any of the following; American Cash Awards (ACA), Face to Face Technologies (FTFT), phattravelingjobs.com. The people do not care about you they just want their money. They drive 80 everywhere and pack the cars with 4 to 6 people more than it can hold. The kids lie to people. Do not believe a kid that says they are trying to get points to win trips and scholarships. There is no boy vs girls contest. The contest is for one kid, the one who makes the managers the most money. And the 1000 dollar scholarship is not a scholarship is is just free money for the kids to do whatever they want. The kids work all day long. Usually six days a week. This is slave driving. Do not let your kids do this. The managers brain wash the kids into thinking that the money they make is all theirs. Some of the scams are that the kids get a certain percent everyday and thirty to fifty percent goes on the books and at Christmas they get the bonus. The bonus is only 3 to 5 thousand dollars. I guarantee you that is only about an 1/8th of what they made. This sounds great when you see it, but it is scams baised on lies. I feel bad for the poor people answering thier doors. These kids are taught to lie to get what they want. At night, it is a free for all. Minors drinking. Drugs are welcome. It is horrible. Stay away from these people. They need to be stoped. I saw it first hand!

08/09/2012 Well I was scamed at work, NSD TOLD i HAD JUST WON 2 MILLION DOLLARS! "YEAH right!they had my name and said they had drew my name from Wal-Mart, NOT TRUE! but I called Wal-Mart and cxl my card...first call was just a little after 8 am and 3 more calls followed after that. tHEY WOULD NOT STOP, THEY HAD MY ADDRESS TO WHERE i AM EMPLOYED. from my caller ID, (I am a receptionist) I was able to write down the number they were calling from, [protected]. I advise the owner of the Company, and alerted the IT manager, so that he could call verizon, I have just read that this scam also charges thousands of dollars to your phone...my last 2 calls I did recieve I told these freaks I was calling my local police department. ...NO HARM INTENTED TO ANYONE'...these people, 1 lady and 3 men cal differnt voices, they had a accent, like they from India
The scam continues in California! I was just visited this morning (approximately 10:45 am on 11 Feb 2010) in the 5-Cities area on the Central Coast of California by a young girl named "Sierra" claiming she was meeting "fun & friendly" people and asking about their careers in order to get over the fear of public speaking. She said she was in a contest to meet as many people as possible and the winner with the most points gets a trip of their choice to anywhere in the world. And, she was in 2nd place! She said that my neighbor recommended that she should talk to me because I was nice and friendly.
It wasn't until AFTER talking jovially for 10 - 15 minutes about careers and world travel that she pulled out the "points" card with magazine listings. But first, she asked if I liked karaoke! I had to ask her for the price list. I had to ask her for a card from the company (which was folded in half in a plastic envelope and could have been printed at a local copy shop). There was no information to leave me from the company. There was no picture ID of the seller. When I started questioning her, she became hostile and walked out of my house slamming my door. She yelled at me for wasting 30 minutes of her time. It was slightly scary and very unpleasant.
I immediately went next door to my neighbor to verify the girl's story, which was a LIE. Then I went back home to "do some research." And then I called my local police department to report her.

Oh my gosh, I just got ripped off by one these scammers! They have come to my door in the past and the first time, I didn't answer. The second time, I told her no. This time, the third time, I answered the door by mistake (thought it was my brother) and I ended up feeling bad for the kid so I placed an order! I am kicking myself in the ### as I type this! About 10 minutes after he left, I got the receipt and read it. EVERYTHING HE HAD TOLD ME WAS A LIE! A bold faced lie! I was so pissed, more at myself than anything. I should have known better. I immediately put a stop pay on the check and now I'm worried about identity theft. I'm in the process of closing my checking account and opening a new one! I can't believe this! Does anyone know what will happen with the stop pay?

t4he same for me. canceled same day, and 3 months later the check came out of my acct. needless to say overdrafts etc. funny thing is that there was NOTHING on back of check. no endorsement at all. traced part way and went through BANK OF AMERICA. as far as im concerned bank of america is just as responsible for letting a nonendorsed check go through. i now have to open a new acct as i certainly dont trust that they wont use my routing no and whatever else. im on disability and this is really screwing me up. susan
The only thing you are going to "gain" in continuing to try to get your money back is more lost time. I suggest that everyone file a complaint through the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). The website for consumer complaints is: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ . Click on the image to the right that says "Complaint Assistant". I just filed one a few weeks ago. I suggest that EVERYONE that has dealt with this company to file one, as well. Hopefully the more people that do so, the more attention this fraud will get. It only takes about 5 minutes to do it, so, please help take a stand!
This is a well known scam, especially around Colorado and other Midwest states. They usually approach you in a parking lot once you come out after shopping. Nice girl perky and so on selling magazines. Those of you posting here think it is gonna get anywhere need to listen up. Call your credit card or bank and dispute the claim. If you paid cash, you could waste your time with a police report. The fact that you are posting your phone number thinking you are going to get a refund is silly. If anything you just gave you phone number for more scammers to call you and try to rip you off.

I purchased two magazines at a cost of $71.00 on April 11, o9. I haven't recieved any magazine yet. Nice young teenage girl was the salesperson. Anyone that knows how to solve this ripoff, please call me at [protected].
Purchased one magazine through FTFT. Never received the magazine I requested-- they substituted for a magazine THEY thought was equivalent (which has nothing to do with the one I originally ordered). I called number on the receipt (which I thankfully still had). I talked to a very nice woman who gave me the information for getting a refund. She said I would need to send proof of payment along with the receipt and that it would take 6-8 weeks to get the refund. I mailed the letter and information that day. Four months later... no refund. I sent another letter... two months later... guess what? No Refund! I am filing a complaint with the FTC... I suggest that everyone do the same.
A sales guy came and i bought four magazines. Afterward, I told him i didn't want the magazines and he said he would cancel them for me that night and call me the next day so i could be sure he did it, and he never called me. I do NOT want these magi zines! You took the money out of my bank account, witch I don't have the money for, and put me in a bad situation. I thought he was an honest guy. The acct. # was 35843 for $247.00. My name is Nicole Love. the magazines were F.F., R. R., Yoga, and O. D. Please give me my money back! You can call me at [protected]. I'd appreciate it if you would call me as soon as possible. Thank you.

man I can't believe she told me the same story. earning points for college and I did NOT have the extra money for a magazine I didn't need or was going to even read but I fell for it. MAN I"M MAD can't believe that little [censor] can sleep at night knowing I had 3 kids and no money to be buying magazines. the address was the same also kitteredge, CO this sucks!
Yep the same thing just happened to my wife and daughter. Same exact story about his father in the Air Force and being home schooled. If I was home that would not have happened, he said his name was Daniel Miller. [censor] him his family and any pet he might have. Oh and [censor] that no good mother[censor]ing consulting firm D2D out of Kittredge Colorado P.O. box 1060. What kind of legitimate firm would have a P.O. box? ANYway we were able to cancel the check but my daughter paid cash. Live and learn.Oh'[censor] THEM ALL AGAIN AND GO TO HELL!
Same thing just happened to me tonight in Las Cruces, NM. A young late teen female with blond hair/blue eyes, stated she lived in my neighborhood and stated her father was in the Air Force and she was home schooled, giving the same story about a contest for college tution. I detected she was nervous so I let me guard down to make her more comfortable and got roped into buying some damn magnizes too. After I had written the check and sent her on her way, I went back and read an email my wife recieved earlier from the university she attends warning people of a potential scam, and low and behold it was the same thing this girl was just speaking to us. I called our bank and put a stop payment on the check and had them put a fund watch on our account; the stop payment fee was less then the amount for the magazines. The receipt I recieved had the same contact info on the back that everyone has posted here. D2D LLC P.O. Box 1060 Kittredge, CO 80457, customerservice@americancashawards.com [protected]
Scammed July 2, 2009 by a young boy who was working for college money and a trip. Rivista, Inc. is on my slip. Left an e-mail letting them know I will press charges. 11.00 cash and 71.00 check. What a rip! Of course by the time I realized it was a ripoff, it was 3 months later and no subscription. Guess I can say good-bye money. Phone number was [protected]. Email was customerservice@americancashawards.com. Company was D2D, LLC., P.O. Box 1060, Kittredge, CO 80457. Good luck to anyone who gets their money back.
i was ripped off as well, for 71.00 & the phone # is [protected], but all i get is an answering machine. it is for family subscriptions. i sent the cancellation slip, the next day to be cancelled & they cashed my check 3 weeks later.
I got ripped off 71.[protected]

I gues I was scammed too. I placed an order for National Geographic and received a subscription to Maxim. What a joke!
I also placed an order...Dynasty Technologies, Inc. The ordered was placed back in November 2008, as of March 17, 2009 no magazine. I guess I will mark this one up as a donation as I am sure I will never see the magazine. I tried calling [protected] and of course my receipt number was not on the list of options to get any type of assistance. So I just press one of the options...surpise, I received a voice message stating it would be at least 48 hours before someone could call me back. Good luck to those who have thought you were helping out...you were, but the money was kept!
I too order a magazine from Global Marketing and never did reveive it after I spent $63.00 for a boy who claimed to be a Marine

My roommate and I also almost got scammed. We were in our room when two guys came in and said they were doing a fundraiser. They wanted us to buy magazines to donates to hospitals in order to earn them points for prizes. Luckily, our suitemate also fell for this scam, but went to the atm for cash. While he was gone, I googled Midwest Circulation and American Cash Awards and found that this was all a scam. We ended up going to our residential adviser who called the cops and we got our money back because the two guys were still with our suitemate at the atm. The cops ended up talking to them about soliciting and stuff.
I am in the same boat as you all. I have contacted the company n a ouple of occasions [protected]) regarding a subscription that I made (same story - young kid comes to the door, etc.) on 11/1/09. Today is 2/10/10 and I have yet to receive anything. On January 12th, I called to follow up and was informed that my subscription was in place, but was for a different magazine than the one I had ordered. I paid them $63 for a subscription that if I'd placed online directly with the magazine would have been $19.99. I will be contacting the BBB and AG tomorrow to discuss fraud proceedings.
Between the way they are treating the consumers and the way that they treat their "employees", I am very concerned that this company is still in existence.
Oh my... I can't believe I fell for this, too. This fast talking girl shows up as I'm about to leave for the night claiming she's my neighbor's niece and competing for a trip to Washington DC in journalism school... Blah, blah, blah and $150 later she walks off. Same as above, no call w/in 4 days. No answers to my phone calls... And just now I'm finding the rest of you. I will pursue the above follow ups and hope for the best. Man, am I ticked off!
This is ridiculous! I can't believe these people are still out there doing business! I stopped payment on my check through the bank, but am now receiving subscriptions anyway! When I call the magazine companies, they say I am paid in full. So I'm worried I will get a collector knocking at my door because the money has to be coming from somewhere! Has anyone else had this situation where the order was cancelled or check with stop payment but still got the magazines anyway?
I have had the same experience as everyone else. I cancelled the order per their written requirements, and have yet to receive a refund. Purchased a magazine subscription from a door to door seller on 02-13-09. Cancelled the order on 02-14-09 per the instructions on the receipt. Called the company 02-18-09 to confirm their receipt of the cancellation notice and they confirmed, but the check had already posted to my account. On 03-23-09 called the company only to learn that they were waiting for me to send them proof of payment, which was a copy of the cancelled check. Sent it to them via fax and I called them the same day to confirm their receipt of said proof. They confirmed receipt and told me that refunds take 6 - 8 weeks. Started trying to contact them after 7 weeks and found that there was only an automated response with a full mailbox and no "live person" with I whom could speak. Emailed the company on 5-14-09 with no response, left a message on the automated machine which told me they would contact me with in 48-72 hours. No response. Emailed them again on 5-18-09 and 5-19-09 and left another voice mail. No response and no operator to be transfered to on the system. When I stayed on the line as instructed by the auto response (in an attempt to get "assistance") I was disconnected.
I just filed the above with the BBB and I suggest that everyone else do the same. It's hard to admit that I was duped, but...obviously I am not alone. Good luck to all of you!
I have had the same experience. Luckily I found this website before my checks had a chance to hit the bank, so I have put a stop payment on all checks written AND on any ACH draft amounts they might try to take. My banks were lenient with the stop payment fees but it still ended up costing me $100 out of my own pocket to do this.
I think we all need to contact Good Morning America. I have actually already done this and will be writing an actual letter, sending photo copies in of the receipts, etc. I will also include a link to this complain board and hope that maybe someone over there will find it important enough to warn America of what's going on.
My husband and I are usually VERY careful with things like this but for SOME reason these ###s got us and we have NO idea how. I am so upset that I have been scammed as I am leary of anyone and anything that comes to my door...yet here I am. There HAS to be more we can do. This is just insanity and these people are crooks that deserve to be behind bars.
Friday night I had two guys knock on my door and asked to come into my place of
residency. They told my roommate and I that if we signed up for so many
magazines we would get a free trip Mexico. They told us the magazines were only
$21 for each subscription, and that we just needed to sign up for three one year
subscriptions each. We informed them neither of us were working and had little
money. After we said we could do no more then that, he then handed us the
receipts and asked us to sign, at this point the prices were not listed. When it
came time to write out the checks Tyson, one of the guys selling the
subscriptions, informed us the total was $330. Again, I said we couldn't do that
because we weren't working and could not afford to spend that amount of money.
They begged us to at least sign up and give them the checks. They assured us the
checks would NOT be cashed until someone from the home office called us to
verify that we really did want the subscriptions and that we would be able to
either; cancel the whole thing, just keep a few or just keep one subscription
and we and still get the trip to Mexico. This morning I realized it had been 4
business days and had not received a phone call. When I looked over the receipts
they had given us we realized it stated we must cancel in writing within three
business days. I quickly called your customer service, to which I was sent to a
voice mail box. To my astonishment the voice mail informed me it could take up
to 48 hours to receive a phone call back, which would make it impossible for
anyone to cancel a subscription! Sinsing something was wrong I then called the
bank only to found out the money went through the morning of the third business
day. This is nothing short of fraud! Because of this we're now unable to make
rent. We will be getting an attorney.
Please contact either of us at your earliest convenience!
My wife placed an order 7/6/08. I cancelled my order the very next day also. Complied with all the refund requirements. I was told by ACA that I had met all the requirements for a refund but the business that took the order (Uban Development Solutions) had not funded the account for refund. I filed a complaint with the BBB and the FTC. I started receiving magazines I did not order. ACA stated that they were complementary and that my original order had been cancelled. I literally called every day for the past 3 months. I finally received my refund check today 2/19/09! Now waiting for check to clear the banks...
My husband ordered a magazine back in Nov. 2007. He paid with a check. American Cash Awards then took it upon themselves to take my bank account number and routing number off of my check and distribute it. I found a charge on my bank statement and called the company. Apparently their marketing company is North American Publishers, Inc. [protected]. Their phone number in Phoenix, AZ is [protected]. North American gave me three different stories. One woman told me that my husband approved these transactions and even gave his social security number (which he did not do and they couldn't repeat it back to either of us). One woman told me that what they were doing was perfectly legal and that bank account numbers are public record! And the last person I spoke with claimed to be the owner of the company (Kathy) and she said she would refund my money. Only time will tell if that happens! My complaint however is not with North American, it is with American Cash Awards. They distributed personal and very confidential information without my knowledge or consent. There is not a phone number to contact these people, so good luck with that all of you. I have called the Better Business Bureau. THESE PEOPLE ARE A SCAM. If you ever see one of those kids walking through your neighborhood, turn them away and tell them that if they do not stop loitering in your neighborhood you will call the police.
I am deeply sorry that this happened to all of us.
I had exactly the same experience with American Cash Awards/Coast to Coast Inc. I canceled my 49$(cash) subscription within an hour of falling for the teenaged girls fast talking attempt to earn a trip for school. Every time I contacted the company they agreed I was getting a refund and there were problems with the company issuing the refund. I was told my refund would be prioritized and that I would receive the magazine subscription for free. I have not received either. Now when I call, the message says to call Coast to Coast as they are no longer handling their business. The number given is [protected]...no answer at all. This whole situation started on 5/23/2008. I called the (FTC thanks to the number being listed on this site) and filed a complaint. I will also be talking with the Attorney General as well as the BBB, and of course I will continue to call American Cash Awards. Good luck to everyone.
giant magazine scam no deliver
Collect the money $75.0 since April 7 2008. Until now,
there is no delivery. When I phoned, they kept on giving excuses
like there is problem with the magazine.
Now, the phone line is a voice mail with no services.
This scam must be stopped.
Thank you.

I've filed a complaint with the BBB, and hopefully something will come of it. "Marsha Covey" communicated to me that they are sending me a check. I guess I'll find out for sure in a few weeks (or months? or years?)
My wife actually cancelled the next day. They should never have deposited the check, but now will not return our money. Everyone should file a complaint with the BBB in Denver. The more of us the better.
I am having the same problem. However I cancelled the order within 3 days. They were suppose to return my check before cashing it, that was in June. Every phone call I make I am told 1-2 weeks for my refund, now I get voice mail with no possibilty of human contact.
DON'T USE THIS PLACE FOR A FUND RAISER!
Been trying since July to get our money back. I am filing a complaint with the local BBB today. I keep getting excuses but no refund.

He said his name. Tom Wilson. And he was sending the prizes petrol to my house. Win I pay the handing fees. He's keeps calling me from different numbers. New York/Texas. Now the calls are coming from Kingston Jamaica .

I got a call from a Mr. David [protected]. He said is was from a department of American Cash Award company, that I was randomly selected to receive thousands of dollars. And they had already tried to deliver the certified check to me but no one was home. To reschedule a delivery they need to confirm some information. But the claimed he would not ask any personal questions. He said it was recorded as required by the FBI that the check I would get from the the Federal Serve, and the IRS was the ones controlling this. That the money would be tax fee. He proceeded to ask questions that more and more person. He asked my full legal name, marital status, employment status, current income, and my birthdate, etc. I stopped him and would not answer any more. He said he could not reschedule the delivery without the form being filled out and signed by him. I knew it was a scam, I gave him some false information before I said that was to much private info, I would forget the check. He tried to save the situation by claiming I could get even more from this American Cash Award. I hung up.
Got a call from a "private" number. The man that spoke said his name was Bill Diamond and I had won a very large amount of money and a Mercedes-benz. I immediately looked up US Cash Award on line and saw the word "scam" over and over. I asked him where he was calling from. He said "where am I calling from?" Again I asked where he was calling from and he said US Cash Awards. I asked what state. He said "What state?" I said Yes...what state are you calling from". Silence. Again I asked what state he was calling from. He finally state, "Oh, ah Tennessee". So I asked what city, and he said "Ah,,,Memphis". I also told him his number came up as a private number. He said "oh I will call you back so you can see the number". Then I told him I see on line that US Cash Awards is a scam. He stammered a bit and I said "How much do I have to pay to get this award?" He said $399. I said "This is not an award" and hung up.
This John Richardson been calling me now for about 2 weeks trying to get me to send money to this company because I have won 2.5 million dollars and a 2021 Mercedes Benz of my choice., he is very conning, I tell him that I just get a kick out of these lies that he be telling me, but he reassures me over and over again that its all real so I tell him that he has lied so much until he believes it too, however I don't think he is going to call me back because I asked him to send me some proof he wanted to send me an email I said no, send me a text message he said how, I said get the inital paperwork and take a picture of it and send it to the number that he keep calling me on .
Oh and the fee is 1832.32
I received notice I had $650 via Western union for some loyalty gimmick USA rewards
I also received a message saying I won $600, 000 dollars I am elderly I didn't even return the call because I knew it didn't sound right! However I do believe people such as this should be stopped to protect the elderly that fell for this! GOD BLESS Vengeance is mine thus saith the Lord
Was asked to send a check for $2500.00m to a Mr. Douglas Sanders 7600 Hiram Jenkins Rembert South Carolina 29128. Not sending it because I don't think I can trust these people.
I have left voice message from atty Miller @ 3247.239, 1374, peter @ 775.964.4418 or 929.251.6267, Tony @ 225.238.3415 and agent Bryant @ 202.866.7097
all stating I have won over 2 million dollars and need to have a receipt showing I have pay 1% of the winner when someone comes to the house to present my check. when I call backed all just answer the phone, Hello. first sign. Calls from amer cash award, atty office, national gaming.
Reading the other complaints, my encounter happened in July of 2008. After the seller left, I too felt uneasy with the transaction. After repeated attempts to call and fax my cancellation request to the numbers provided I finally got through. I scanned and attached my cancellation request along with my order. Received an email from the person I spoke with that I would receive refund in 4-6 weeks. Repeatedly calling back, asking for a supervisor all with no results. I was told once they received the money (they are a clearing house only) they would send me the check. Of course I never received it. They are now operating as Monitoring Services Network with the same phone number and address in Denver. Better Business Bureau has logged their complaints as well.
The door to door sales are a rip off: they never deliever any magazines but they do cash your check. The company is a scam.
I ordered a magazine but decided to cancel. I followed the instructions on the back of the reciept to cancel. I couldnt reach anyone by phone so I faxed the cancellation over with all of my information as was instructed and it is 5mo later and still no refund. I can not reach the company by phone and now can not leave a message because their mailbox is always full. I wonder why? I feel violated and ripped off in the biggest sense of the word. I am not going to forget about this and the next time young adults come to my door selling magazine subscriptions no matter how legit it may be I will NEVER, EVER again order my magazines thru them.
A very disgruntled customer
