I bought a so-called “iCSee compatible” webcam from DY Direct Sale Store on AliExpress The seller clearly advertised it as working with the iCSee app, but that was a total lie.
After hours of testing and checking with support, I found that this camera only works with CareCam Pro — it cannot connect to iCSee by QR code, IP, ONVIF, or RTSP. The firmware is completely locked. In other words, they sold a completely different product from what was advertised.
When I opened a dispute, AliExpress sided with the seller and told me to pay the return shipping myself — even though the product description was false. This is not just bad service; it’s dishonest business practice.
This is already the second time this year I’ve been misled by false advertising on AliExpress, but this case was especially frustrating because I trusted the technical details listed by the seller.
If you’re thinking of buying anything from DY Direct Sale Store, do yourself a favor — don’t. They misrepresent products, offer no real help, and hide behind AliExpress’s system. I’ll be posting this experience widely to warn other buyers.
Avoid this seller and anything advertised as “iCSee compatible” unless it’s clearly XMeye or Tuya verified.
Total waste of time, effort, and money.
Recommendation: Avoid AliExpress / DY DIRECT SALE STORE
