I, Charles Robertson, came into Albertson's grocery store #0155 located in Elko, NV on April 9, 2026 at approximately between the times of 11am- 12 noon. I came in with a co-worker/friend by the name of Tonya. Tonya made an order when the worker by the name of Linda were serving her and slamming the chicken into the bag and kept looking up at me and shaking her head for no apparent reason. Tonya was done ordering and I were next in line behind her. Linda called the guy from behind me (white male) then i spoke up and stated that I were next in line. She then stated that "I thought yall were together" referring to Tonya and I. I clearly stated "No, we just work together and that im placing a seperated order." At that point, Linda refused to serve me because of the color of my skin and continued to serve the white male guy anyways. The deli manager by the name of Patti saw what had happened then immediately stepped in to assist me with my order and apologized. She gave me instructions of whom to report this matter to, in which, were the frontend supervisor. Patti then stated that she were going to report this to her frontend manager as well. LInda has racially discriminated against me and refused to service me because of the color of my skin. She had humiliated and embarrassed me in the public. I immediately went to the front cashier and was explaining wbat happened at the deli. The cashier went immediately to notify the store manager by the name of Darin K. Darin came to speak to me about the situation and told me to do a report and then he took my contact information.

Charles, that is just sickening. I am so sorry you had to endure that public humiliation — you deserved basic dignity, not that nonsense. Thank goodness for Patti stepping in like a real one. Linda needs to be held accountable; you've got the manager’s attention now, so don't let this fade. Sending you so much love and strength — you matter.
