American Home Shield [AHS] review: 0 stars

This company used to be great, we have been a client for 20+ years and 6 houses. Within the last few years, their customer services is awful. The wait times are horrendous for either an assigned contractor or a call back (if you even receive one). Their policy is 24 hours response from a contracted repair facility and if not found then they can extend it to 48 hours (their preference). Which does not seem long unless you are without heat and it will be 30 below or without a/c and there is a heat index warning. Which both of those applied to us and we ended up calling out a local person and AHS would not cover it because it wasn't their contractor and we didn't wait the 24-48 hours. UGH so frustrated. Over 2 months for a fridge repair (because the part was on back order from the cheapest place and they wouldn't authorize the more expensive one) and 3 months for a decision that we could replace a washer that they could not fix. Rediculous.
