I was charged twice for shipping & handling of $4.99 and twice for $78.81 for the product - all on the same day. The company falsely stated to me that this is an "authorization" and not a charge. I am absolutely furious!

I am contacting Bank of America now regarding this fraudulent operation. I have been charged over $600 dollars in various amounts since signing up for a free trial. Where is the better business bureau of Illinois?

WARN EVERYONE YOU KNOW . . . DO NOT EVER, EVER, EVER contact Advanced Wellness much less buy anything. I foolishly ordered a "free sample" of Pure Acai Berry. Now I am trapped in a death spiral of charges and telephone calls. I am in the third month of fighting to get these shipments cancelled. I won't bore you with the details . . . because you've already read them in the previous posts. Because of the economy, the credit card which I use exclusively for Internet purchases was making some adjustments at the end of May. So, I called Advanced Wellness twice in April and once in May to get the account cancelled. Each time being assured that it was - only to have another shipment show up. June 6th I spoke with India again and reinforced that there were to be no more shipments or charges. Yesterday I got another shipment and, because my credit card was used after the end of May, my interest rate has gone up by 5 percentage points. The credit card company insists that an RMA be provided in order to start a fraud claim. They said that there is nothing that they can do to block the charges from being submitted. So, not only am I trapped in the death grip of India & Advanced Wellness but I seem powerless to make my credit card company refuse the charges and my entire card balance is now being charged the additional 5% in interest. The agents in India refuse to escalate to a supervisor or cancel the order. The credit card furnished me with additional contact numbers for Advanced Wellness and those numbers turn out to be bogus too. The numbers I have are: [protected] (from the back of the bottle); [protected] (from the cheapo invoice); and, [protected] & [protected] (provided by the credit card company). There has to be some way to stop these people!

I just talked with one of their so called representatives after being charded $83. off my credit card for their teeth whitening system. The guy stated you cannot get a refund and I told him that I wanted to cancel my order. He kept trying to talk to me and get me to change my mind finally I got fed up and stated " what part of NO do you not understand"
This product certainly isn't worth the money.

6/24/09 --I submitted the complaint today against Advanced Wellness Research return of product (Teeth Whitening). What do you do to help me, if anything? Should I notify my bank about not allowing these charges (if possible)? Should I contact an attorney? I am furious, also!

What a damn scam. I am also a victim. Still no product just the run around, 3 bills in total and a bunch of bad reviews on the internet. My advice...cancel your credit card a.s.a.p. And file a complaint with the BBB. I feel like I will be lucky if I get a refund. What a joke. I hope Wells Fargo's fraud department helps me out here.

I have been charged too. Once for $78+ and then $81+. I absolutely did NOT authorize these charges nor receive the product. I was only expected to be charged for the shipping charges for the "free" trial". I am FURIOUS, to say the least. I wait tables to pay my bills and as an uninsured diabetic, need every bit of it. But they've just been picking away at my money. How can this be legal?!?!

My dealings with Advanced Wellness Research / Netalab has been nothing short of a NIGHTMARE. In one of my numerous calls to them (it is an answering service based out of India) the agent informed me that if I disputed the charges, and they win, they will hit me with additional fees of $85 and another $50 charge. Clearly threatening me. All their agents are trained to speak this way, as they clearly receive ALL DAY LONG calls from irate customers. I received a box of teeth-whitening products from them and called to return this for a refund. They said they will only accept if 1) box is unopened 2) it has to be shipped via FedEx or UPs ONLY (even if I received their parcel by USPS) 3) I have to list the tracking number and RMA number on the outside. If I don't do this, I will get NO REFUND. I also decided to read their terms and conditions, and it is the longest I have ever read, clearly they are keeping their agreements tight and foolproof such that they are untouchable. They are like the GESTAPO. I issued a dispute with CITI and they said because of the Terms/Conditions, they will side with the company versus the customer, even if they know that the Company is fraudulent.
I have filed with the State Atty Gen of FL, the FBI, the FTC. I encourage all of you to do the same. This company needs to be stopped.

OH MY! Welcome to this end of the screw! I, too, got screwed by "American Wellness Research". I finally was able to get some action when I reported these quacks to the Better Business Bureau on-line. Also, to cover my butt, I also cancelled my credit card and got a new one with a new number. Drastic, I know. But I figured it was better than having to put up with watching these jerks' every move. Good luck to you! kim

I tried the free trial, the next month I received another bottle and a $100 charge on my visa. 2 months later I phoned to cancel any future orders. I was told I could cancel. He asked me why I canceled and I simply told him "becasue I want to", he then said he would cancel. Then he said his system was slow and offered me a $20 disccount to continue. I told him no, I wanted to cancel and wanted a confirmation number that it had been canceled. He then said "alright, I will get you a cancelation number", then he offered me $40 off, I resonded that I wanted my confirmation number and no further selling. He then said "since you are such a valuable and long standing client (4 months) he would offer me $60 off. I could not beleive it, I told him if the product was so easy to discount why not lower the price. I then told him I was getting angry and I wanted my confirmation number for the cancelation. He finally gave me a cancelation number, I had to have him read it back 3 times because he said it so fast and he missed a number the first time. It was as if he didn't want me to have it for the record. Finally in closing he asked "has this call be handled to your satisfaction?" I could not beleive it. I don't know if they are a scam, but I will contact my credit card immediately.

This company charged my card within the 14 days as well. When you call to try and get it rectified the same lady answers the phone and no supervisor is ever available. How can this be reported to the fraud division and these people be brought to justice. Any advise?

This company is a rip off alright! I've been ripped of $157.81 and everybody says they want an order number. Well guess what? I don't have any order numbers! They have charged my account even though I canceled the order and they said I wouldn't be charged. Well they did. Steve Jordan in Customer Service says I can get back $20 of my money back. Meanwhile they're paying people who don't speak good enough English probably peanuts and the owners are making a killing by raping us of our hard earned money. Somebody NEEDS to put a stop to this company and now before anybody else gets ripped off!

My I wished I had read these comments before I ordered the sample only of these tablets. "This is the first time I ever fell for a scam. Live and learn! I paid $8.99 for shipping on April 21 but then on May 6 they charged me $80.00 FOUR times and then again on May 21. I received one bottle and Fed Ex arrived last week with more which I refused. Just got my Visa statement today and there are over $615 in charges I didn't authorize. I'm sure this will be a fight but have informed Visa and the BBB and will call company to have charged reversed-although I am expecting a battle!

I have cancelled this product before the dead line in January 2009 and the operator said everything is fine that there will be no more shipment. I have exactly received three shipment since then and charged. I called one more time and the operator said that it has been cacelled, if that is so why are you still charging me and sending the shipment? I have already filed a complainant with my credit card company. My next step is with the credit card fraud and call the BBB. Please stop shipment and stop charging my credit card. I have returned all shipment "cancel" please refund all funds back to my account or send my money back. Please respond!

I would like to advise you people before u go and sign up for any product please go and read the term and condition that will be more beneficial. Yes, I agree. This company is a scam. They not only charged my credit card in an unauthorized payment, but after cancellation they did not send the product and recharged my credit card after I had cancelled. I got some song and dance that my dates did not coincide with their billing dates. I plan to pursue other action.

I have logged a complaint with Consumer Affairs, Attorney General, Lisa Madigan in Illinois and the Attorney General in Florida. Why these states? Because Advanced Wellness Research is in many states. The office I was dealing with is in Illinois and I know from reading complaints they are also located in Florida, Ohio and Denver. I cancelled this product months ago but continued to get the Acai Berry and the charge. All I want to do is return the sealed unopened product and get a refund. I was charged $330.21 for four bottles of their berry. This has been going on since February. I have found so many complaints about AWR, I don't understand why someone has not contacted their Attorney General about this. The Attorney GEneral in Arizona is taking a similar, if not the same, company to court. My local TV station just had a segment on "Free Trial Scams'. If everyone victimized by these scams reported them, I'm sure we can put them out of business...Maria

Well...I have joined the sucker club! They got me too! I ordered the teeth whitening products from advanced Wellness Research and Ivory whites to get free trails which I paid for the shipping and handeling. I was not pleased with the product so I simply did not order anymore. Low and behold, the are two charges to my accout for $78.93 and $88.00 plus another charge of $9.99 for what I do not know. I called the company and they bascially told me that I was out of luck as I did not cancel before the 14 day deadline...which was actually 13 days. Any ideas of how to get my money back?

I read here that the only way to stop getting charged was to cancel your credit card. When I received an email confirmation that my subscription (I didn't subscribe to anything of course, just asked for the free trial with $4.99 S&H) was cancelled, I thought that was good enough. Just fight to get my money back on the scam. Then I was charged two charges of $83.80.

I phoned and was told they accepted no returns and never give refunds, but would cancel my subscription and gave me a confirmation number. Again, I was charged two charges of $83.80 each. So I cancelled my credit card and fighting to get back what is already over $500 for little bottles of totally worthless product that I never asked for.

When you read here that the only way to stop getting charged is to cancel your credit card, take that warning seriously. I would like to know if any banks have ruled in favor of Advanced Wellness Research. I've decided if Citibank decides in favor of these crooks, I'll cancel all my accounts with them.

I logged this complaint with Consumer Affairs
I ordered a free 14 trial of Acia Berry on the internet but when I cancelled it apparently was never recorded because when I spoke to a rep he had no record of me cancelling. End results: AdvancedWellnessResearch billed me to $330.21 for four bottles of their Berry. One of those bottles was supposed to be a trial bottle but that didn't work out either. I have been trying for the last month to return three sealed unopened bottles and they Nick Enrique tells me he cannot process a refund for me and yet, their website claims, 'easy cancellations and returns upon request.' I have done research and found site after site dedicated to the complaints on Advanced Wellness Research victims. I am getting in touch with Attorney General, Lisa Madigan requesting and investigation into this company. The complaints, grievances and protests against this company are innumerable. They are breaking the law in a number of states. Multiple Attorney Generals have to get involved to shut this company down and get refunds to all their victims. One more thing, AWR claims their Berry is Pure, has anyone checked out the other ingredients? I checked out the price of Acai Berry in stores and you can get it for as low as $7.99 for 100 capsules. AWR sells their not so Pure Berry for $79.99 for 60 capsules. Extreme over-pricing in itself should be a crime.

Get in touch with Attorney General, Lisa Madigan in Illinois. Fill out the Consumer Fraud Bureau and send it in to her office as I am doing. Hopefully if she receives enough complaints about this abusive AWR company, she can take them to court just as the Attorney General in Arizona is doing to similar companies who scam people on line.

I called the number for Advanced Wellness Research [protected]) and they stated they are NOT part of "MAX WHITE"?
The 2 firms I placed my order with cancelled my subscriptions without any 'major' problem; they try to talk you into keeping the first shipment at a reduced cost. However, with the way they are not forthcoming with the monthly charges in their promotion, I DO NOT trust them in the least!
Notify your Credit Card company and make sure they document your complaint about these charges!

Well I have cancelled my order last month and recieved the full amount back. Then just yesterday I recieved another bottle. I thought to myself I tought I cancelled it. I know I did because my bank statement has the money returned. But they said that I did not cancell the order, yes it was Indian the first one was amale and the second one a female and you can hardly understand them. So after arguring with them I finally got it cancelled for the second time with a cancellation #. The first time I did not get one. If they said that you can cancell at anytime then you should be able to get your money back. They just send you the product and not sending a letter stating that would you like to cancell, they just send the product and take your money. It does not even state that they will keep on sending you the product after you recieved the trial offer. I will never do this again!

This company is the biggest scam in the world! They advertise a 14 day free trial; however, they don't mail the product to you until about day 10. I received the product and tried to cancel it after having it in my hand for 7 days. They told me the 14 day trial was over and charged my account TWICE for $78.69. They insisted it was my bank's error. I went to WaMu (now Chase) and they confirmed I was charged twice. It was not a bank error. The company continued to offer me free products which I refused. They refused to give me their mailing address. I am filing a dispute with Chase to prevent payment. I am also contacting the Carlsbad California Police Department for theft and fraud charged against this company.

OMG! Everthing in these coments are exactly what happened to me! I clicked on add that I saw on myspace bc it was talking about a woman had used this stuff and it worked so well to whiten her teeth. It looked like a blog, not an ad so i clicked on the product name that became highlighted when scrolled over. It ttok me to a site where I could order a free trial where all i had to do was pay shipping and handling to try the product. I was billed the 4.99 for s&h on 4/16 and recieved the trial 5 days later. The box that it came in sat on my frig for a couple weeks and never even got used, I never even opened the baggie it came in. Didnt even think about it, but when I checked my bank account online today 4/30 there was a charge on my account of 78.93. I immediatley called the customer service number listed in my account info and immediately thought something was strange bc the automated intro sounded like it was far away like when someone your talking to was on speakerphone, very unofficial. The first woman (also Indian named "sarah") i talked to explained to me that in the "terms and conditions" it was stated that if I did not call with in 14 days of the day I ordered the product that I would be charged the full amount of the product. There was nothing unless it was written microscopic that I read stating that I only had 14 days! I demanded that I recieve a refund and told her that i hadnt even tried the trial and that I would gladly return it so that could have my $78.93 back, but she kept saying the same exact thing (like it was written) that all they could give me back was $40! I was not taking that for an answer and asked to speak with a superviser, in which she put me on hold for 2 minutes and when she came back on she told me that her "supervisor" tld her that the max they could return to me was $60. i was not about to give up. I told the woman that I demanded to talk with the supervisor and did not want to continue to talk to her. she keep informing me that she going to assist me and refund the $60 back ignoring my requests for the supervisor. So I told her I wanted to talk to someone that spoke clear English bc obvisiously she was not understanding me. she transferred me to another indian who spoke slightly better English who told me that he was the supervisor and insisted that 60 dollars was all they could do, that that was "policy". Still not accepting that, i asked to speak with someone higher up and he insisted that he was the highest and that that was all that he could do for me. i was at this point all but screaming at this ignornant man and asked him how he slept at night knowing that he was working for a company that scams people out of money. Of course he insisted that it was no scam and hat it clearly stated how to keep from incurring the full price of the product and cancelling the account. Account?! I didnt set up an account! All I did was give them my credit card number so that I could pay for the 4.99 s&h! I explained that this was no free trial that a free trial was when you get to sample a product and then if you like it you order more. I then asked him where he was located and he told me Illinois. BS! and so I demanded that I speak to someone higher up and American and threatened that I was going to report him to the Better Business Bureau and finally he said he would "try" to connect me. I was transferred to yet another Indian woman who I could hardly understand at all who was with Vonage phone service! I said I was talking to the people @ Advanced Wellness Research! I was so confused... i asked her to transfer me back and she said that I had to call the CS # again, I asked her why she couldnt just transfer me back and asked her where her call center was located, can you believe she said New Jersey?! They couldnt even keep the lie straight! Then she hung up on me! So I called the number again and this time instead of hitting 1 I hit option 2 for billing, I spoke with another Indian and asked for their corperate number, he told me there was none, that they didnt have a corporate office pretty much that he customer service was all there was. He insisted that I explain the problem and let him help me, so I gave in and told him what happened, with the bare details trying to hold back my rage. He immediately assured me that he had cancelled my account that he would refund the full amount, that I should recieve an email in about 10 minutes confirming this. I was so thankful and told him that they other people had told me that they could only refund $60, he had no explaination for this of course and when I asked him what his name was he said Alex Jones. He even admitted tome that this wasnt his real name. he insisted that if I had anymore problem that I call back ask for him. So I waited..and waited for the email. three hours later... no email. So I again called the CS and asked for Alex Jones, the Indian rep asked for my phone # email and address but I refused saying that I would only talk with the polite Alex Jones and of course he said that he was not on the shift and insisted that I let him assist me. I explained it allover for the 12th time and he told me that I would have to mail a statement of my account to them so in order to recieve a refund! I was so upset i was beside myself, he assured me that I would recieve an email in 3to 5 days, where "Alex" had told me that it would only be a few minutes! He said oh okay "it take 10 to 20 minutes for email". Like he was just telling me what I wanted to hear. To make a long long story shorter I finally recieved an email stating that my account was cancelled and that I would get a refund for the full amount. So help them God if I dont. So if you battling them DO NOT, DO NOT GIVE UP! Thats what they expect you to do, to give up and settle for the partial amount! I am going to do some research and see what can done about this, this is insanity, i thought i was going to lose it! I will not let this happen to more people, they need to be shut down. I only wish that I had seen this page beforehand but now am all the more determined!
