Advance Auto Parts review: why my services will be taken elsewhere

I am utterly disgusted with the actions this company has taken regarding the recent firing of a young man who has been going through a lot of emotional tragedies lately. This morning I learned that Advance Auto Parts in Spencer, WV have fired a employee due to attendance and/or tardiness that has occurred in the last few months. Let it be known that this young man has suffered great tragedies with the loss of two loved ones in a automobile accident and his grandmother dying as we speak. All less than two months apart mind you. To learn that a company does not support a employee through these difficult times but instead fires them makes me sick. Learning that the REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT demanded the store manager fire him shows a true coward. Why was this young man not offered a leave of absence? Why was he punished for trying to support both sides of his family? He worked for this ridiculous company for over 4 years and never had a problem based off what other employees said. Customers loved him. I certainly loved him. He was my main reason for continuing to shop at your store. I will no longer be spending my money with Advance Auto Parts at any location. I truly can not believe the actions this company has taken. You strive to be loyal but where was your loyalty this him? Absolutely pathetic. I will be sure the entire town of Spencer. WV knows what your "Regional Vice President" has done. I'll be sure to make a point that Advance Auto Parts has no compassion or understanding when a employee is suffering tragic losses and is continuing to have to deal with death. I don't know how you lay down at night and sleep knowing what has happened.
