Winn-Dixie review: Bounty paper towels

I purchased Bounty paper towels two weeks ago from Winn Dixie in Lantana, FL. The above reference number is the claim number created with this incident.

I reported severe allergic reactions to the moldy Bounty paper towels I purchased from this location. My symptoms were burning eyes, nose, and throat, swelling of the same, and a rash on my stomach. I also experienced a bloody nose, a severe headache, and nausea. These symptoms began about midnight, and being alone, I knew to self-medicate with large doses of Benadryl crushed into liquid form for faster absorbency.

I have experienced anaphylaxis (A severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. The reaction can occur within seconds or minutes of exposure to an allergen. Symptoms include a skin rash, nausea, vomiting, difficulty breathing, and shock. If not treated right away, usually with epinephrine, it can result in unconsciousness or death) in the past, I knew it was best if treated quickly.

The adjuster I spoke to, Nate Little, was not empathetic and explained that I should contact Bounty directly because it was a product defect. My bone of contention was that the product should never be stocked on the shelf for sale because somebody should have noticed the apparent mold smell, which is cause for alarm!

I had to take two days off from my job due to the symptoms plus the effects of Benadryl.

I am requesting compensation. Your employees should never have put me in this situation, and I feel that is Winn Dixie's gross negligence.

Mr. Little provided me with Bounty's phone number, and in speaking to them, they needed clarification on where the product was improperly stored.
