Window World Bait and Switch Pricing

I decide to get windows
We discuss options and I go with Wells Fargo (I am sure you also get a benefit from this)
I inform you about a week prior to this date I was approved by WF for financing
I drive nearly two hours round trip to drop off a signed contract
You look me up on WF today and find...Greg is approved for more than what we quoted
then email me asking if I am ok with you raising the price $420 and if I am ok with someone coming by to take another set of measurements my guess is so you can raise the price to an even $500

I have done home remodeling and I have replaced windows... it is not exact to the 8th of an inch science...why they make shims and caulk...

You did not apologize that your employee quoted wrong and the guy who quoted is no longer here... do you think his measurements were off by that much?
I walked with him as he measured every single window...4 of the windows are the same size (please share his measurements with me) since they were conveniently left off the quote
Even if his measurements are off that is not "my" fault nor should I be expected to "fix" an error by one of "your" employees
This is your company and if you make a mistake it is unprofessional to turn around and expect the consumer to make it right not to mention ask them if you can remeasure especially such a simple job

This all looks very fishy to me and it is not giving me confidence in your business.

Desired outcome: After trying to rip me off maybe some jail time is in order

Window World siding, shutters and gutters

Window world replaced our siding after 8 months on backorder.

the siding is complete now waiting for the shutters and gutters. Katelyn from richmond [protected]) stated that its on backorder.

I called yesterday, katelyn assured me that she would call me back by the end of day. I never heard from her. My husband called this morning twice. Now she saying she will let us know something tomorrow. I feel like we are getting the run around.

I understand the pandamic slowed things down, but after 8 months everything should have been in stock. She had plenty of time to get the shutter and gutters. I shouldn't have to track everything down. Very poor customer service.

We have a big dumpster in our yard. They need to pick it up now. the holiday weekend is nearing and my yard is in no order to celebrate the holiday.

Window World Bathroom windows

Had purchased two custom windows to replace block windows in august or 2020. Windows were not installed until feb 2021. During this time I had to call the company for updates on installations as 3 different scheduled installations within this time period were cancelled by them. I only found out about cancellations when I called the day before to confirm installation. After installation, one of the windows is leaking water down my walls every time it rains. Still waiting on someone to come out and fix it a month later. Have had no follow up by window world and I am the one trying to have it resolved. Wish I never used them.

Window World Shutters

I had my windows and shutters replace August 2020. My windows came out fine, but my shutters are horrible. I don't think these guys ever put shutters on before. I complained the day that they were done and still have not results.
I have called and complained several times and they keep saying that the replacements are on order.
June will be a whole year since I sign the contract.

Desired outcome: I would like them to replace them and do them right.

Window World Window replacement

This company installed new windows years ago with lifetime warranty which they have honored up until 4 months ago. Had two windows that lost the low e gas and had to be replaced. Simple thing. Unless the tech is high on pot. He ruined two perfectly good window frames and told us he ordered two frames and more sashes. I called customer service this morning and was told nothing has been ordered. I have made several complaints and to date not one manager has returned my calls. I am very disappointed in this company, regret every having them install my windows and do not recommend using them.

Desired outcome: order correct parts supplies as rush job, install using top technician witha service manager present.

Window World Replacement windows

We were replacing old damaged wooden Pella windows in our kitchen nook. Our kitchen nook is all tongue and groove wooden planks. One wall of replacement windows consisted of 4 large windows, the other wall 2 windows. All windows were side by side. I asked the sales rep if the windows would be trimmed. I expressed my concerns to the sales rep as we had extensive wooden trim around the windows and they were large windows that were side by side which covered most of the wall. She stated that they would put trim around the windows, and it would look fine. It took 5 months for our windows to arrive. Our old wall of windows along with the trim was demo'd by their installation team, new windows brought in. They weren't individual windows, but one large slab of vinyl with 4 windows measuring 8.5 feet x 5.5 feet for one wall, and a small version of this for the second wall. Not the replacement windows we asked for, and told we were ordering! They were extremely cheap and hideous looking, and looked like something that belonged in a garage! They trimmed my windows out with a 3.5" slab of white vinyl. Adding the vinyl from the windows, I have a 7.5" slab of white vinyl running down my entire wall between each window. We asked for replacement windows, not a white vinyl wall! Our old windows and trim was destroyed during the demo. In addition to that, the windows were extremely poor quality. Gaps in seams, cold air blowing in gaps, holes in their plastic trim. Not only do we now have ugly windows, but they let cold air in! We did a remote temperature reading, and were getting 45 degree air blowing in through the closed windows along the gaps with an outdoor temperature of 36 degrees.

A representative came out 2 days after the installation and said that these windows should have never left the factory! They were defective. Shoddy workmanship! We were told Window World would contact us within a few days. No one did. This was almost a month ago. We have called Window World repeatedly asking for supervisors, as no one will address our complaints about the falsehoods were were told during the sales pitch and the defective windows that should have never left the factory. We are always promised a phone call back, and no one returns our calls. I am planning on reporting to Better Business Bureau, and possibly taking legal action against Window World if our complaints are not addressed.

Window World We had all our windows I replaced in september 2011.

They said they had a lifetime warranty. I have two windows that have s haze between the Windows. I am assuming it is from the gas that is between the glass. I have tried cleaning them but you can tell the problem is between the glass. The windows are all hazy and you can't see out of them anymore. I am very disappointed. I tried calling window world in my location and cannot get a hold of anyone to help me.

Window World Installation of awning windows

I ordered my windows last July. Window World still has not completed the job. There are 2 awning windows that they said had to be special made. They told me they were in and was supposed to come out Yesterday. They called and said the windows had to be re-ordered.
I also ordered a storm door and they told me yesterday that they could not do the door?

I AM READY FOR THIS JOB TO BE COMPLETE WITH SOME DISCOUNTS.

Window World Windows

We purchased windows in 2015 but could not get them put into home due to house leveling issues, financial issues, and hurricanes. Finally in 2019 we got our home leveled. So in 2020, my wife started contacting window world about getting out windows (which were paid in full by now) installed. A field supervisor was sent out to remeasure. Then communication fell by the wayside. My wife finally spoke with their customer relations supervisor, Jason Gannon. He stated that our windows were probably given to habitat for humanity but he could go ahead and give us a refund. We stated that we'd rather have them install our windows instead of a refund. So, Mr Gannon mentioned to my wife that he'll let her know Friday what course of direction they'll take. Since then we've heard nothing from Mr Gannon. He's not replied to any of my wife's messages. Since we financed the windows through Wells Fargo, my wife decided to contact them concerning the refund in October, 2020. They said they need 30 days to investigate. After 30 days She called, but was told they need 90 days, not 30. So, after 90 days She called again but was told that they're waiting on window world to respond. So, to this day there has been no resolution for us. We have no new windows and no refund!

Window World Clean up

We love the windows but the installer left much to be desired. Broke two old windows and left glass and debris all over the house, inside and out. Broke two marble sills (which were replaced after the boss leaving for 2 or 3 hours). Boss knew what he was doing but the other two workers were lazy (even after he yelled at them within our earshot). I stepped on a piece of glass which resulted in bleeding. We are still finding glass and debris inside and outside of our house. We gave him a good rating because we did not immediately see all the faults. I had to caulk many cracks that were left undone. Will not recommend window World without letting folks know that they will have to clean up a mess. A friend had a great experience and she felt bad that we didn't have the same good experience as her.

Window World Overall construction and installation

Initially asked for window estimate for a sunroom at 1515 Valiant Dr. in Lakeland, FL 33810. Salesman pushed replacing all the windows in mobile home. We were told these were custom made windows and would fit as we asked. Critical to this and assured by salesman to be the case the inside of the window would allow 2 1/2"inside to accommodate previous purchased blinds. Once the first windows were installed that gap was reduced to 1 1/4" making the pre purchased blinds useless. We requested installer stop immediately until we could resolve issues. They completed 3 windows installation and the work was sub standard. However the installer continued to pull windows and partially installed 5 additional windows.

We have contacted local Window World Affiliate who after looking at the windows and installation have stated nothing can be done and we must pay over $17, 000 regardless if they complete installation. They contend the salesman did not commit to 2 1/2" and installation is not substandard.

We are attaching photos and requesting the windows be uninstalled and old windows replaced. We have discussed with other window companies and they tell us the Windows installed by Window World were designed for a standard home and not a mobile home.

I have tried to attach JPG photos but your system does not recognize them, they are available by email.

Window World New window and doors

Windows and doors were ordered and paid in full 7/17/20 with a promise from alex that they would be delivered in 6 to 8 weeks. We found out the order was not submitted until 7/23/20
Windows were finally delivered 10/5/20 but the 2 sliding glass doors were not delivered and to date we have not received them. Nail fins were supposed to be attached to all windows but they were sent separately and there were not enough. Customer went all the way to window world in san antonio on 10/7/20 to talk to someone (everyone was out to lunch at the same time so he had to wait an hour). They were told the nail fins had to be ordered (paid 550+ extra). We are still waiting for the fins in the meantime our job is shut down. We keep being told that our order is a priority. We never have calls returned after being told they will check and call us back. When we call our salesman alex to get answers he tells us he has no control and then he gets smart. He made many promises to us about coming out to the job to talk to our framer before we placed the order. After he got the order and the money, his whole attitude has changed. He told us that window world specializes in replacement windows and that they just order the windows and doors for new construction - our framers should know what to do. Window World Window and screens

We had a bow window installed in April 2020. Window is great, but one of the screens was not wide enough. I called the same day for a re-placement. It's September 2020, and still no replacement. "It's on order, or overnighted or will be in soon"... still no screen.
After that we had 8 windows installed. 2 more screens missing. Also one window has a guard/lever not attached. (Pic included). I called as soon as I noticed it, less than a week later. I did not notice it until I opened the window and thought it was odd that the lever wasn't attached to anything. I checked other windows and those were in fact attached. When I called... I was asked. "How did that happen?" How am I supposed to know? I have called and called... I'm getting no where! Totally frustrated here!

Window World Faulty windows

We have the high impact windows from Window World of Volusia County, FL and we have the lifetime warranty however we cannot get a date or time from them to repair two windows. It has been over 2 weeks and we still do not have a repair date. I called again today and I was told that because of the storm (hurricane) it would be next week before we would hear from them. Two weeks ago there was not a storm! One window in the home the top fell to the bottom and we had to get our neighbor to secure it until we got a repairman.

Window World Replacement windows

hi I am Nancy Price at 38 Madison Ave, Blasdell NY and I had ordered 3 replacement windows, they arrived and when the contractors came to install the windows, the older of the two wanted to remeasure the window frames and found out that two of the three windows had been measured incorrectly. I would like a discount due to the inconvenience of having to move all the window coverings, furniture etc. so they could be installed, now I have to do that all again when they are reordered and come into the store! I only have an estimate #E1588353292748 no order#. the conract was made on 5/1/2020. and they were to be installed today 6/29/2020! Now I have to wait for another time period and remove the furntiture and window coverings which is an inconvenience to me. I am elderly and have a ripped tendon in my foot so ambulating is difficult! I would like to see how I can be compensated for this error and having to wait again!

Window World Worst day of my life

They took 30 windows out right before a predicted severe thunderstorm - leaving rain to come 30 window holes into my home — along with the lead dust that they said they would protect us from and didn't.
I helped hoist heavy windows to lessen the property damage to my home
They complained about the previous customer who said they damaged his home — I got to hear them disparage another customer and blame him for the damage he had from them. They didn't clean or dry the open windows that the storm wet.
So in went 30 windows — decades of lead dust, bugs a now water - trapped inside the new window and my home. They did considerable damage to all molding and paint. Considerable - like a thousand dollars to redo.
They blasted racial slur music out my windows loudly for every neighbor within a block to hear. The N word should be a choice - not something a payed contractor forced me to hear and amplify for all.
I was nice to these men - ordering a couple hundred dollars of pizza and lemonade for all.
I was tolerant - even though my house was being destroyed. They never wore shoe protectors even though there was a big storm - so in and out my home with mud — never asked or removed boots with mud.
They let our indoor cat out although I had been told to isolate him — and I did — and put a sign on that door. The cat was not to be outside and never had been so he could have been hit by traffic. We were worried sick — especially my young daughter — whose cat is was — and we had to pack for her first camp field trip out of town not knowing if she'd ever see her pet again. The workers refused to try and save the life of our pet who they let out and was in danger. I finally begged them to help — they weren't working anyway.
The workers — were smoking and shifting around but doing little to clean up the millions of little pieces of razor-sharp metal wrapping that they allowed to fly in our neighbors and our grass and under cars — we are still finding these razor blades everywhere and have been cut many times. They left lighters and cigarette butts all over and I had requested no smoking since we are allergic.
The negligence and disrespect by now were appalling.
Then as a I asked one man to not stand on the edge of our awning — since it wasn't built to hold a man — he literally got so angry that he threw a big razor-edged piece of metal down at my head! I was in shock.
From them I asked them who the owner/supervisor was and how to reach him — I called Jason, who was reasonable and profusely apologetic. He could tell that this was the most unprofessional and life-threatening mess he'd ever been part of.
The property damage alone was going to cost so much to undo and the emotional trauma they caused — especially having a worker try to injure me with razor sheet thrown at my head.
He assured me that they were leaving and assured me they would never be allowed to return to my home.
We talked a couple more times that hour and he continued to assure me that they would never be allowed on my property again.
The workers moved as slowly as they could after their supervisor told them to leave.
It took a couple hours and they kept saying they were almost done — while not doing anything. But another hour and no movement.
Finally my young boy, who had never spoken up to an adult and never needed to — went out and said that their behavior was nuts and that they had been asked to leave.
Then the biggest assault — as if the rest wasn't enough — One of the men started screaming and cussing in front of my kids that he lost his phone. We were rightfully scared of the amount of rage he was exhibiting, so we Closed our front door — keeping us safe from him. He started yelling at us and trying to break in the door. He screamed cussing at me that he thought his phone was inside. I knew it wasn't but I told him to call it or give me the number to call to locate it by ringer — he just kept abusively kicking in my door. I told him that I was calling the police. He found his phone outside and left.
The rest of the crew left finally and we were in shock from the damage and terror that they caused. My windows weren't finished — (and it turns out 2/3 of them don't lock. I had to buy wooden sticks to try to prevent entry on most of them. So anyone could break in probably)
Now we had to find our missing cart and pack my daughter for her trip in the morning.
Somehow we got her there after a sleepless night of traumatic memories.
I was rudely awakened by loud noises on every door and window around my home. The men — different ones - who were belligerent — were demanding I wake up and come out-that they were going to finish the job or I had to pay the remainder.
After the damages and threats the day before — there was no way I owed them the last payment. They broke the validity of the contract — which was never gone over or signed — through such severe damage and negligence - and criminal assault — I knew that I would never allow to to force me to let them touch my home — but they were very abusive, hostile and trespassing. I filmed them abusing me and saying they were going to work on my house no matter what I said or what Jason promised. I said they were trespassing and weren't to touch my house or be near me or my house. I called the police who finally got them to leave.

They be destroyed my excellent credit rating with a collection agency — I have NEVER not paid for anything in my life — but I already gave them six thousand five hundred dollars to be victims like this?
And they think I should pay for that aggression and complete destruction of my home and terrorizing of my family?
The man, Mica ended up calling me to apologize the night he tried to break in and was screaming abusive cussing at my kids and I. I saved the recording. If his admitting he had no right to treat us like that.
I also saved Jason's apology.
So no — the contract that was never gone over or signed does not include the things we were forced to endure and your company needs to make this right. I have lost more sleep over the hateful, aggressive, destructive treatment Window World got away with towards my kids and I, our neighbors witnessing and forced to see/hear threats and obscene language and the razor pieces everywhere years later.

Window World Metal siding

We have had problems with Window World local since last Oct. when the salesman came. He sold us insulated siding and showed us the difference in it and the regular kind of siding. It cost more, but we thought it would be better. We were told it would be 4-6 weeks before they could get to us...that being way before Christmas. Wrong!. They didn't come until I contacted other people about it. Then, a crew comes up and acts like they have never done the job before. (Found out later they had not) We kept complianing because it was looking uglier and uglier. The contractor would never call us back. He would tell us he was coming to see it and never shows up. They never return our calls, not even the local owner. My husband went out to check on the crew and they were putting the siding on backwards and not only that, they put the wrong siding on my house. We got the cheaper non- insulated siding. They were not going to tell us either. Someone was going to pocket that extra money by putting the cheaper stuff on our home. Here we are with Siding on the ground where the wind just blew it off..no telling what will happen if we get a storm. We are not satisfied and I would love to get them to take it off and someone else that knows how to install put it up. This ins't hunderds of dollars, but thousands. I have been told by friends to get the Building Inspector out here to see if it was permitted and if they even have a license to install metal siding..I'll never let them do anything for my family and friends after seeing what work they do..My desire is to have this siding took off and replaced by professionals.

Window World damages to truck while replacing windows

Windows were replaced at 500 lake marina dr. Nw Orleans 70124. When job was done on 4 story building pieces of concrete and putty obliterated my truck for absolutely no reason . I called local office to speak with supervisor, finally someone calls me back and tells me to sue them they not responsible.
I am ready to go to court house and file suit for damages if not resolved immediately.

Window World screen door

About 4years ago we had two Windows and a screen door. The screen door was to be customs made-$1000. I could have bought the same door at one of the big box stores. This last summer they brought a new door but not all hardware. It's still in the box on the front porch! I don't have enough time to get into the Windows. Never received any information on cleaning them. Think we will go to they're showroom and discuss this matter. Just hope there are customers there
