I can't contact this company to stop this and the only reason I figured this out is because it made my account balance over limit. I am careful usually and I don't even use this card anymore because the interest is ridiculous. Has anyone out there figured out how to contact them and set them straight?

What kind of products have people out there ordered before they discovered that this company started showing up on their credit card statement? I know myself I ordered Lens Dr the liquid eyeglass repair stuff that you fix horrible scratches so you don't have to buy another pair of glasses. Since figuring this out I have probably spent that much because I didn't notice these charges until now. They are charging me 16.95 and have been since Feb. at least. I am so mad it is ruining my mother's day with my mom. She is sitting in the other room while I try and figure out how I can fix this problem but because it being Sunday no one is answering any phones even my credit card company. So I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to flip out all over again.

DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY SCAM YOU

If you order something just order that product when they ask you if you want this and that say no. No special speedy delivery or anything besides the product at least that is how I think I got this charge on my account. Who knows I will never order anything online again.

Which stinks because I don't drive and this comes in handy occasionally.

Thanks for listening,
Kim

I just got this value thing in the mail yesterday and I left it on the table. My husband picked it up and asked about it, so I put the address in the computer and came to this. I called [protected] and got it cancelled before I was ever charged thanks to my nosy husband. I am so glad I came across this board first.

Sorry to all who didn't catch this in time

Kim

I have just noticed an 16.95 debit from my checking account. I didn't know who or what value plus was so I googled and found all of these complaints against the company. I just called and asked when did I authorize this and they gave me a date which I didn't authorize this on. So I asked them to cancel my membership which they claim I got in February but are just know taking the money out of my account, so I've decided to get a lawyer involved. I feel as if we all come together and file a law suit against this company then maybe they will learn a lesson.

My bank gave me the following number; [protected]. It connected me with an individual named Richard. I told him to stop the charges, immediately. He complied. He said to check the status on the following web site; www.membersstatus.com. Just as a note, the lady I spoke with at my bank said that this group had gotten hold of her checking account information through a purchase using her debit card, and she lost a bunch of money. These people need to be stopped. Fortunatly for me, they only got me for 2 months. Spread the word. These people are almost as bad as politicians.

I would like to see something done about the ability of these companies to tell you if you don't respond in 30 days your account will be charged. I is inconceivable to me how this can be considered an authorization to open an account. After calling to cancel the account, I was told by Theresa there would be to future charges to my account, and the "pending charge" to my account would not me made. I pray she was being truthful. If anyone else is having problems with these folks, (they have various names, WC *VALUE PLUS was the name on my account, ) be sure to let your bank, credit card company, and friends and neighbors know perhaps knowledge will stop this unscrupulous activity.

i've gotten scammed as well, problem is i'm not sure how it even happened.. i got a call maybe a little less than a week ago from an odd number saying that i had made a purchase through their company and was now elidgeable for a $40 gas card.. all i said was "ok" never agreed to anything or even gave them any information, just confirmed that my name was accurate then this morning i noticed two withdrawls from my bank account, one for $9.95 and one for only $1 from AMA health options and Value plus-V.. if you notice these charges on your bill call their number right away! luckily they are very polite and will cancel your account without question, but if you dont catch this right away they will continue to bill your account for $50 a month and will not cancel your account after that... i dont even know what i had bought to bring on this scam.. it needs to be stopped!

I RECEIVED A CALL AT WORK FROM THIS SO CALLED VALUE PLUS COMPANY AND THE WHOLE TIME ON THE PHONE JUST DID NOT SEEM RIGHT TO ME. I TOLD THE SALESPERSON I DID NOT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT AND HE SEEMED A LITTLE FRUSTRATED AND SAID TO CHECK IT OUT FIRST AND THEN CALL BACK AND CANCEL. I SAID, WHATEVER, AND HUNG UP. I IMMEDIATELY GOOGLED THIS COMPANY AND SAW ALL THESE COMPLAINTS. I CALLED MY BANK COMPANY RIGHT AWAY AND EXPLAINED. I WAS ADVISED THAT NOTHING HAD BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM THEM AND THEY WILL CLOSE MY ACCOUNT TO MAKE SURE. JUST TO GET MY TWO CENTS, I CALLED THE 800 NUMBER AND TOLD THEM THAT I HOPE THEY WITHDREW WHAT THEY WANTED BECAUSE MY ACCOUNT IS CANCELLED. HAHA! HOPE THEY FELT STUPID! BECAUSE THEY SURE DIDNT MAKE ME THEIR ###. I DONT KNOW HOW PEOPLE CAN EVEN WORK FOR THEM! HOW SAD...

I too had charges of $16.95 withdrawn from my bank account for the last 3 months! I called and they said they would cancel and issue a refund but that it won't show up for 2 or 3 statements! I then went online and saw all of these complaints against them and tried to call back and they wouldn't answer my home phone. So I called on my cell phone and they answered! I got another person this time - Shirita?

yea right! She gave me a verbal confirmation over the phone - but by then I was so mad so I went online to their website and sent them an email that I wanted my money back in my account by the end of today. I told them that their scam would be a good story for the media - 20/20, 60 Minutes, DateLine, Nightline, Fox News. This was their reply:

Your membership has been canceled and refunded.

Please let the media know that you gave your authorization during an internet purchase of an "as seen on TV" product. Because WE WILL. Do you remember an offer for a $10.00 cash back for trying our membership.

Great Story

Thank you for your order
Membership Services

I ask for proof that I agreed to their scam - but of course - nothing! They seem to think they are invincible and that no one will bother to pursue legal action on the small amounts that they are stealing- that people will just blow it off.

So... I agree - who thinks we should initiate a Class Action Suit against these thieves?

How can we start a Class Action Suit against WC Value Plus?

I was taken by WC Value Plus also. They gave me a hard time when I was trying to canccel. When I asked them what did I purchase or subscribe to, they dummied up and told me they wouldn't have that information.

i too have had value plus charge my account with fees of 16.95 to my checking account for the past two months. my situation is that the most recent charge sent my checking account into the negative. Therefore, i was charged overdraft fees because i didn't expect this charge. I've spoken to the company of Provell and they told me that they can't do anything. As a poor college student i need every bit of my money and because of the fact that they took money out of my account and caused me more expenses than i ever could have imagined, i will be taking legal action. This SCAM has got to stop.
Now, let's say i did sign up for this so called "membership service." Why then, over the past two months of being charged, have i not received anything for my money? What have i become a member of? (Besides the large population of Americans who have been victims of this Value Plus scam.)
I and my attorney are both going to be writing letters to the PO Box address that they gave me.

Thanks to one posting on this site I was able to fix my problem by calling Provell. I too signed up for a product, a magazine subscription, and was then charged $14.95 per month from Value Plus. All the above comments are correct, this company is fraudulent! Do not waste your time and call Value Plus they will just lead you on a string of 800 numbers to call.

I ordered flowers through YOUFLOWERS and Value Plus is an affiliate that offers discounts for them. I noticed today that there is a charge on my card and it wasn't authorized by me, so I filled a complaint with the BBB and FTC. I will call Value Plus on Monday and demand my money back and I will also call youflowers and file a complaint with them also.

This scam cost me over $50... they had been debited money from my account on more than 2 occasions, and 2 times in one day! ...I called recently and a very polite person answered the phone. I lost my temper when they tried to say they could only credit back one payment. They "suddenly" saw the rest of the payments they took out.
Be persistent and firm...and you will get your money back!

I had called them after seeing a charge on my American Express Account and not only have they been charging me 19.95 a month for 9 months, I had another account as well where they were charging me 14.95 for 14 months. They owe me $408.80 and now they are sending me a letter and I have to mail a complaint back to them... Total BS, I told them it was like a ramsom instead of a service...

Thanks for the number!

My recommendation, to completely remove your card from their database and others is to get a new card. Otherwise, you credit card number is being stored all over the place. That's all they need is your credit card number with the exp. date to charge the account.

Unfortunaly, I think they got my number when I purchased from a Television Ad... never again.

Those are on my bank statement, and they didn't even fill in their entire number. I don't know how they got my check card number either and I really upset about it. I count on that money being there, and here I used to think we had to be mugged in person. Turns out I was wrong. The electronic world has allowed thiefs to sit behind a dang computer!

I caught the charges early. When I called they said that I am still within the trial period. I called both [protected] and [protected] to cancel my account. Hopefully one of these gets it right and I am not charged again. Both said they would send me a confirmation e-mail. I just got off the phone with them.

Both numbers asked me to verify my last name and zip code. The first number asked my to verify my first name and address. The second number read the information back to me and asked if it was correct.

We'll see what happens. I will definitely post a follow up.

This company fraudulently took money from my account, and thankfully I noticed it immediately. I specifically told the salesman "no." The way to get your money back is to write a letter to the company notifying them of your complaint, your desire to cancel & demand your money back - send it certified mail. Send it to the company responsible for WC Value Plus:

Provell
1100 Wayzata Blvd
Suite 680
Minneapolis, MN 55305

Also send a copy of the letter to the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota & North Dakota [protected]). Their address is:

2706 Gannon Rd
Saint Paul, MN 55116

The director of consumer affairs at Provell/WC Value Plus is Michael J. Murphy. He will probably send a letter back saying that you placed an order & provided "electronic signature authorization" (which is a lie), but they will refund your money.

You can also send a copy of your complaint to the Federal Trade Commission at:

https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup

The FTC cannot get your money back, so it is still important to send letters to Provell & the BBB. But the FTC needs to be notified about these fraudulent business practices.

Just revieved my statements over the past few months. WC have been taking $16.95/mo since August. Realized it was when we ordered a remote helicopter from HAVOC HELI, a recordidng asked a bunch of questions, which we clicked NO, NO, NO.
I can't get an answer from any of the numbers listed on your site, or the WC or Havoc ones. Any ideas welcome.

I noticed 2 different payments of 16.95 at the beginning and the end of some months. I'm going to call my bank first thing in the morning. I can't believe how much we are all getting ripped off. I still don't know how long it has been going on. I can only check up to Sept. online. This S*cks!

Is now January 14, 2008. Same charges Wc *Essntl For Home-v [protected] Mn and Wc *Value Plus-v [protected] Mn. Both on my WAMU Visa. The source is unknown; however, the only on-line purchase I've made where both my CC # and e-mail were used was purchase of "The Grabber" tool. I've called "Membership Services" and same ol' song; I will cancel your membership and cancel your membership immediately. The rep could tell me nothing g else regarding the charges (he could see both which is fishy anyway) and to allow 2-3 billing cycles. Three months, no way. I wrote and called WAMU right away.

TOTAL RIPOFF! They called me at work while I was on my break! Pressured as most of have been & I wanting the $40.00 gas card, I agreed to let them send me the information! Now, my account has been drafted twice that I'm aware of. Called the # provided [protected], after three attempts of "our computers are down, call back in 30 min. "... I finally got through. Informed them I will be contacting the Attorney General and demanded a refund . Was told my "membership" was cancelled & I would be reimbursed. It's after business hours now, but tomorrow I will look further into this SCAM!

Last year, I noticed on my bank statement that WC* Value Plus had been taking out 16.95 a month for no reason for about 8 months. I called the number on my statement, and all they would do is ask if I wanted to cancel my membership. Membership to what?!? I exchanged a few words with this girl who wouldn't answer any of my questions. I then called my bank, Wachovia, who said they would reimburse me the charges, which I was thankful for. But what shocked the hell out of me was that Wachovia knows who this company is, and have gotten many complaints from customers about this, and in return have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT! I still have no clue how WC* Value Plus got my account information. They said I ordered electronics online and gave them my number. I have never ordered electronics online!

I work for customer services for these discount clubs. If you call us we will help you. We handle cancellations and refunds only. If you ask for a refund you will get it. You may have to fill out paperwork if the charge has been going on longer than two months but they do refund the money. The discount clubs are not a scam. You may not realize at the time that you are enrolling in a membership but we do make it right. I have had many conversations with pleasant people and actually enjoyed the conversations. Please, be nice to the rep who answers the phone and they will treat you with respect, please treat us with respect. We are there to help you, not hurt you!

I received several calls within the last 2 weeks from [protected], I finally answered. The guy spoke super fast, I said "what?"... he transferred me, then a girl spoke even faster. I told her to repeat that, she said they were offering 40 gas for free, I said I wasn't interested. She said she could send me more info, she had my address already. I agreed to more info being sent-nothing else. Then she said for me to push in my birthday to verify it was me. I put a random number in a said ok I have to go. She said ok, I will mail out a packet with some info. 3 days later, 2 seperate charges for $1.00 have shown up on my bank account. I never gave them any info, I just pushed a button on my phone. The charge came from [protected] WC Value Plus. It is a scam, I'm guessing they have many numbers but all the same scam. Beware!

Yeap! I was also scammed. I had called in past to cancel my account, and they did, but suddenly I was still getting charged for 5 months now. I just called there and the lady there told me she was cancelling my account, and I got confirmation number. I never got an email from them though like she stated she was going to do. She also told me I could get a refund, but filling out the form she was going to send by mail.

These Value plus marketers have some nerve! One woman yelled at me and called me stupid for turning down the gas vouchers...

They must have called me 20 times at least in a week, always at a bad time, and when I tried to tell them I wasn't interested, they wouldn't let me get a word in.
They just kept cramming savings programs and offers in my ear, and the more I got upset and told them to stop calling, they would start saying they were going to charge my credit card with all these trials...
ARE YOU FUNKING SERIOUS! How did you get my number?
Then it was like I was afraid to hang up without making sure they understood I didn't authorize any charges, and the one woman kept talking so fast, I honestly didn't know what was going on...
Pure evil. I don't usually let tele-marketers get to me, but I HATE these people, and the company they work for.

Value+ has honestly raped my ear canal with their persistent, harrassing, relentless attempts at getting my money, while making me afraid to purchase anything online again.

I just went to the website to claim my gift card and got here. I then went to this website and went to FAQ. The last question took me to an email where I canceled my so called "membership" Good luck to me and all of you. BTW, I never authorized anyone to "sign me up". EVER! As I've had this same thing happen before with months charged without me knowing. "WE" really need to pay attention to things like this!

No telling how many of us don't check every month because it's such a minimal amount. But that adds up to LOTS over time.

They are the telemarketing company who calls you at home with this value plus my job as a telemarketer Im is apparently to call this preferred list customer as they call it and offer you free gas to try there product but they end up talking you into getting charged 12.99 and 19.95 they begin by saying its only one dollar and you can cancel at anytime but they are full of it they try and try to talk you out of it and stick you with more crap . If been at this job for about 2 weeks and it sucks hey heres the number to call to cancel [protected] tell them your not falling for it and you will report them they have specialist who are good at lying to you and talking you out of it. Ive sen them manipulate and take advantage of alot of people for some old women who owns this ### company ill be there a little longer while I find another job, ill keep you all updated of any thing else from the inside. Oh end they are located in Florida. Near Clearwater . Good speed!

This company is sharing credit card information they receive for legitimate transactions. My wife was suckered into agreeing to pay shipping and handling for a couple of "free" books she ordered from an infomercial about natural cures. Mysteriously, our bank account information was used 17 days later to begin a "trial" membership we never authorized, and our account was tapped a 2nd time for $1.00, and we didn't even notice. Thirty days later, a second unauthorized transaction showed up on our account. This time for a more aggressive amount of $19.95. They even provided an 800 number with the description. I called to cancel, and realized it is all a big scam. Be careful. I am following up with a complaint to the Minnesota Attorney General's office, and would recommend that everyone do the same. The website is as follows: http://www.ag.state.mn.us/Consumer/Complaint.asp and the toll free number is [protected].

Good luck to all of you caught up in this scam.
