Walgreens unauthorized prescription filled

Date and time: 7/6/2023, 12:22 pm. My mate received a call from our local ( Cookeville, TN) Walgreens, saying she had a filled prescription that they were going to deliver. We have never had a prescription delivered, we always pick up at the store. The delivery person looked like a big doper and was very curious concerning my mate and our home. Also, the prescription was charged to my debit card without my approval. My mate's prescriptions were moved from Walgreens to Kroger in May 2023. So why was Walgreens filling a prescription for her in July? We contacted her doctor and he said he had not sent anything to Walgreens because he had changed everything to Kroger in May. Yet his name was on the bottle as the doctor that ordered this prescription. So, how did this happen? This could have resulted in a very dangerous situation because of too much medication being given to a patient.

Desired outcome: I want an explanation as to how this occurred.

Walgreens Pharmacy

Walgreens received my prescription on 7/3. I keep getting messages saying it's delayed. I called today and they said that they are not allowed to dispense this medication at this time. How is it possible that every Walgreens in Palm Beach County is on back order for them for a whole month? They gave me a date of 7/31 when they might be available. I have chronic pain and in the process of having all of my teeth removed. How can this be possible?

Walgreens Walgreens hiring dept

I was employed by Walgreens before my background check had even come back on May 17. It was a temporary to hire position. I was upfront and hint from day one about my background because in 2007 and 2012 I was involved in trouble with the law. I didn’t think any employer would hold sometime I did 12 years again against me but they sure did. My manager was told to Separate me from Walgreens immediately like I was a threat. I feel very sad about it because I was honest from day 1. It took me 3 weeks to even get the report and I had to track it down. I was not givin the right to appeal anything. I loved my job and my coworkers. Even if I don’t ever get to work there I hope they change the way they filter employees in the future because I’ve been in no trouble since then and my life isn’t nothing like it was 12 years ago. I find it unfair my manager had no say in the matter. They also didn’t even tell me face to face.. I got a email on my day off.

Desired outcome: I would like to know why they didn’t let my manager have a say in my dismissal or my team. They earned their titles. I also think my store should get an apology because it left them short handed when they were already worked to death.

Walgreens Customer service

Older woman with glasses I believe her name is Betty, she is extremely mean, rude and very impatient with customers!

I came in to grab a few things this morning and had a simple question, but when I tried to ask her, I was surprisingly interrupted with her rudely explaining I don't know I'm not the product, all I can do is scan it and see and I said okay great let me run to check the price on one item just to make sure itll work and she got irritated that I couldn't remember what the price was she said well u already have it in your cart right here I told you I can just scan it and see I said okay but that still won't answer my question if I can't remember the price of one of them, when she scanned them she kept saying I told u this already then says I told u this now its been 5 times I've told you shesaid! Even though she didnt understand that the price she gave me still didnt answer my question at all because I couldnt remember the price to one of them she wouldnt even take the time to try to understand me or help me long story short I had to have her call a manager just to ask my question and he answered it very respectfully in one second, that's all I asked for was an answer and She refused to even try and was very condescending and humiliating, definitely not someone who should be working around customers.

Walgreens Senior day

I shop Walgreens on senior day to get my senior discount. I went today and when I was checking out the cashier told me that they didn’t honor senior discount on a holiday. Since I was already checking out I went on on and paid. I didn’t see anything in the store that said senior discount was not honored on a holiday. I think this is a bad policy especially for seniors.

Walgreens Pittsboro walgreens

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the Walgreen’s store in Pittsboro, North Carolina. I am no longer able to shop at the Walgreen’s location in Pittsboro during this time of year. They have no air conditioning and it’s absolutely miserable in there. I feel that air conditioning should be an essential feature for any business, particularly one that sells health and hygiene products that can spoil in the heat. Until this problem is fixed my family and I will no longer be going to Walgreen’s.

Walgreens Prescription cancellations

21400 TIMBERLAKE RD

Lynchburg, VA 24502I moved here two years ago and all this time trying to get my Ozempic filled has been nothing but a nightmare. One week ago I had to call my doctor (for a prescription she had sent in two weeks prior) Then I had to call my insurance because even though I had a refill they wanted another PA. I had called my insurance who called the doctor and Walgreens and set it up for them to get the PA, this went on for two weeks waiting up to six hours per day for call backs that the Walgreen pharmacist promised to call. Never bothered to call back I had to call, my husband had to call we divided up our time waiting and calling. The first time this happened the pharmacist told me he had Ozempic in but was saving it for some one else I didn't know you could save medicine for someone sounds fishy to me. I literally hate the Walgreen on 21400 TIMBERLAKE RD, LYNCHBURG, VA 24502. I wouldn't ever shop there again except for that's the only place my insurance covers so I can get my meds. Tonight I got a txt message from them at 10 PM saying they canceled it again WHY after all that work for two weeks (and I am in no way exaggerating) They are going to kill me Diabetes isn't a game to play with!

Desired outcome: STOP CANCELING MY OZEMPIC

Walgreens Pharmacy

I called 3 times to update my insurance! First time pharmacy tech put me on hold, picked up and I repeated i want to update my insurance, she told me to hold put me back through automated system, got through she picked up and said Walgreens “HOLD” and slammed the phone, picked up again I explained i want to update my insurance information and she told me to bring it in it would be easier! I explained then I would have to wait on my prescriptions and she said hold and sent me back to the automated process again. I have covid and a dr appt tomm i know i am going to get scripts for! As a healthcare worker i understand when staff can be short however this was not appropriately addressed! It was the same girl each time! I did not get a name or any information as she kept rudely dismissing me !

Desired outcome: Update my insurance before i get my prescription’s tomorrow!

Walgreens Pharmacy

I use the Walgreens pharmacy in Columbus, Ohio at the corner of James Road & Livingston Avenue. I believe the address is 3015 E. Livingston Ave.

for many years and all the people including the pharmacy employees and pharmacist have always been polite, helpful, courteous and caring. Recently one employee who I had never encountered was rude and dismissive. I sent an email complaint but it was not clear. It gave the impression that it was an ongoing and pervasive problem.

I was concerned delayed refills , but I believe the pharmacy is currently under staffed.

Desired outcome: customers support training for new employees.

Walgreens Walgreens Pharmacy located in Hudson, WI 54016

I recently went on Medicare so I needed to switch my medications from CVS to Walgreens for better cost savings. I take D-Amphetamine Salt 20 mg. twice a day. When it was time for a refill, I kept getting notified from Walgreens's that it was too soon to fill the prescription, which it was not as my last refill was on 05/7/2023 and it was 6/14/2023 that the prescription was called in. So, I actually went to Walgreens on 6/15/2023 to make sure everything was good and they said they would fill it. I received my prescription and left. I admit I did not pay attention, but I later noticed that the number of pills seemed to be off as I was supposed to get 60 pills. I counted them and I had only 25 in the bottle. I had taken 5 by the time I had noticed. I should have had 55 pills left. So, I went back to the pharmacy and explained that I did not receive all my pills. They told me they went back and looked at the video tape and it showed 60 pills being put in the bottle. That might be true, but I did not receive the bottle where the 60 pills were put into as the day I picked my prescription up, it had not been filled yet and the girl that I talked to the night before had told me they were filling my prescription then. So, did 2 people fill the same prescription... is there a camera that shows the bottle with the 60 pills was put into the bag that was given to the person at the register? Anyway, according to Walgreens, they cannot give me any more pills as this is a narcotic and according to them they gave me all my pills - WHICH THEY DID NOT! So, I am left with only half my dosage due to an error on their side. I will never accept another prescription from Walgreens without them counting out the exact amount to me and the mg. size in front on me before I will pay for them and I do not care if I hold up a line! This is most unsettling as I have to pay the price for a mistake that was not on my end.

Walgreens Pharmacy

Good Morning,

The incident occurred on Thursday June 22, 2023 from 7:30pm-8:45pm at the pharmacy. My doctor prescribed Synthroid medication and the pharmacy was out of stock for a few days. I was told Freeport had it available on Tuesday 6/20. I went to Freeport, the pharmacist told me that they didn’t have it available and it would take a few days and it would cost $99. I asked if I could ask my doctor to send the generic version as they had enough to fill and it was $12. They said yes to have them send it in. The doctor sent the script however when I got there on Thursday, the cashier gave me the $99 Synthroid. I explained what happened and if she could fill the generic that was sent. She told me to sit and wait they would fill it in 15 minutes. There was no line at this point. I waited and another older woman was told to wait for her medication as well. Then another person came and was told they did not have the medication and she spoke Spanish - they couldn’t help her. Then another person came and was also told they did not have their insulin because the insurance wouldn’t cover the generic. The woman was upset and asked for help. After about 25 minutes of saying she would pray and hope she would be okey. The pharmacist offered to help and asked her to wait. They called me up after about an hour and the cashier tells me she’s sorry but I have to pay for the Synthroid because they ordered it for me. I asked why I was sitting for an hour and why my generic prescription was not filled and I couldn’t go without my medication. The pharmacist the one who was upset about giving me the three pills - refused to fill my generic prescription and stated that the manager told me how much it would cost and they ordered this for me. I then suggested that they keep the Synthroid for other patients as it is on back order and to fill the new prescription the doctor sent as it was not suitable or fair to make me pay $99 for this medication when there was a generic on file. The pharmacist said it was a busy night and I was the only one who ordered this medication and I have to pay otherwise they would lose $150. I became upset and said I cannot be the only one in Freeport that takes Synthroid and that the woman who refused to fill my medication was there the evening this all happened and was upset about giving me the three pills. I told the cashier that it was not fair or right to make me wait over an hour and withhold my medication, that I was paying for the workers ego. After this they proceeded to tell the older woman that also waited for an hour with me that they did not have her medication. She became upset and said when did you tell me this I was waiting over hour, and they said while she was sitting. I was sitting next to her and at no point did they tell her this until the issue with me happened. I found this appalling, unprofessional, and lack of disregard to people’s health. The most upsetting thing is that it felt prejudice and bias as none of the workers were Hispanic. The pharmacist who refused to fill my medication was an older white woman with a chip on her shoulder. The Indian woman was overwhelmed and just followed what she said. There were no Spanish speaking staff and this was a representation of holding power over vulnerable people. Telling me me I had to pay for the more expensive version of medication because she gave me three pills to hold me over due to her manager going against what she originally wanted to do which was make me wait a few days until it was filled. I tried to say I will pay for the 3 pills and fill my generic. The pharmacist said it was a busy night and I would have to wait a couple of days after waiting an hour when it was supposed to be filled. Her ego was hurt when her manager overrided her on Tuesday. I cannot be without my thyroid medication and it was cruel to not fill the generic prescription while I was waiting stating I was the only person who ever ordered it. This was the first time I filled this script at this Walgreens as I usually go the the Oceanside NY store. I could tell from the hour I sat and observed - this was the culture. Making people wait and not care about medication needs for people of color was disturbing. The white woman ran the show behind the counter and it was apparent that they all followed her. 6 people did not get their meds and were told to come back. It was terrible service and I hope it is investigated for the people of Freeport deserve high quality customer service. Walgreens Photo department toll-free line

I called your toll-free number [protected]) for the photo department to obtain the status of my VHS to DVD conversion order. The first piece of information I asked for was her name, in the event that we were cut off. She immediately became very hostile towards me, not wanting to give me her name. It took several attempts to find out her name. She continued to ignore my request, until she found that I was not about to give up, then begrudgingly gave it to me. She was very rude, unprofessional, unhelpful & the epitome of lazy. She would not help me, and proceeded to read from a script, something on the order of "I cannot help you.." Her name was with Jeanine. I realized that it was a waste of my valuable time, so I decided to contact my local Walgreens directly in Poinciana, FL. I spoke with Carlos in the photo department, who was very respectful, helpful & professional. I believe that it is important to commend Carlos for his professionalism and re-train Jeanine on Customer Service etiquette and work ethic.

Desired outcome: I would like to be informed that you have commended Carlos for his professionalism & had a meeting with Jeanine to discuss her disrespect, rudeness, hostility & lack of work ethic.

Walgreens Prescriptions

If my health is so important to you then why can't your pharmacy keep up with my medication refills? I left CVS for the same reason and it doesn't seem Walgreens can do any better. Instructions for refills are NOT to call your doctor. The pharmacy is supposed to contact the doctor for approval for refills. I was and I'm supposed to be on the "one tip" program, but it's not working and hasn't been for a long long time. I live 70 miles from the closest Walgreens and it costs me more in fuel to make multiple trips to get my medication than what my meds cost me. Why can't I get ALL my 90-day meds at the same time as I did several years ago? What's the problem?

Desired outcome: Receive ALL my 90-day meds at one time, PLEASE.

Walgreens Customer service misconduct/ safety

Purchased toilet paper and was on the phone but still responded to cashier - who apparently was covering manager. There was a small mixup if I wanted receipt but she had already ripped it up which was ok with me. As I was leaving she rudely commented I shouldn’t be on my phone. I walked back to register to clarify the situation and asked for her name to report her which she replied “none of your damn business” asked for name of manager above her and she refused. Long story short this cashier unnecessarily called cops and accused me of putting my hands In her face (which on was on toilet paper and the other was holding my phone) as well as told me I need to leave and said I was banned from this store and stepped into my personal space very confrontational. I would like to express my utter embarrassment considering where I live and my profession and the fact that I have shopped here often and have never had this kind of issue happen to me in my life. When I spoke with the cops they informed me she had mental health issues and there have had this kind of encounter with her before. She should not be in authority nor be unsupervised as I wasn’t sure what she was going to do when she came so close to me. She was also verbally aggressive with other customers and this absolutely has to be addressed for the safety of my self and other customers that shop in this store. I will be contacting store manager A. k and submitted service inquiry online for this issue.

Desired outcome: Escalated to appropriate authority. This employee should not be in position with authority let alone unsupervised with mental health issues

Walgreens Prescription refill at 4141 E. Judge Perez Drive Meraux,La. [protected]

My name is Margo Navarre, [protected] prescription [protected] cost 19.99 I am on medicade and have had this prescription filled 3 times with wall greens. They stated this was the cost with my first insurance. I phoned my insurance and they said Walgreens never ran it thru, if they did my cost would be 50. I ask for a refund minus the.50, Walgreens said they couldn't run it through.

I am sixty five with no unemployment, only snap and medicade. This is not fair for Walgreens to not return money owed. Please assist me with this.

Desired outcome: Refund of money owed from Walgreens. Also to please run my further perceptions thru my insurance.

Walgreens $6.00 coupon

I purchased items on 06/12/23 and received a coupon for $6.00 which clearly says to be used on your next purchase. I went today to use the coupon. They told me at the store that I could use it next visit. I told the employee that was my next visit, and she said, that I have to present it on my second visit and get the credit on my Third visit.

It felt like I was buying from trump! You know, a dishonest business.

Walgreens Pharmacy

I have been a customer for 20 years. Walgreens 59 Boston st salem, MA 01970 has gone from good to terrible last 3 years. Everytime I fill an rx there's a problem. Never ready when promised and they do not pick up the phone. I gave up today. Even though I live on the same street I'm willing to drive 5 miles to cvs. Recently went to urgent care on Sunday. Walgreens is closed. Went to cvs and it was so fast and easy! I know things happen and mistakes are made sometimes but I've given 3 years. It's just never a good experience even if you give them a full day to fill an rx. You go in and it has not been filled. You try calling before you go to see why it's not filled and Nobody answers. Unfortunately I'm done. I've been hearing they are understaffed as an excuse for 3 years. Lately there's 4 or 5 people behind the counter when I go in. What's the problem? It's never easy. Drive threw is a joke I sat there for 20 min today and only one of my rx was ready. Now I have to go back and go through the nonsense again tomorrow. They were super to be ready yesterday by the way. Had to call wait on hold was promised a time and still not ready. People need there meds on time. Now I had to skip a day of my prescribed medication.

Walgreens Purposely delaying needed meds

This company is absolutely awful. I tried to fill my Xanax exactly when I was supposed to which was May 28th and it said call pharmacy so I call them and the earliest it could be done they said was the 29th, not thinking that is Memorial Day and they would be closed. So now this is going on 3 days of no meds and this pharmacist could have legally filled it yesterday but purposefully told me the next day, knowing they don’t work then. I have been give a bottle before that had to be 30 years old and they wonder why I run out early, maybe bc they choose to give me the worst bc I know for a fact there were two different types there at the time. They are cruel people who like to judge people and make them suffer. Plain and simple.

Desired outcome: To stop delaying my prescriptions past normal timeframe and judging me bc they give me meds that are ancient old.

I have the same situation, I've been on the same pain meds for 18 yrs it's a schedule 2 drug and every month they delay filling it claiming, out of stock, insurance problem, must have prior authorization etc. The people working there have no empathy for a person who is in constant pain day in day out. They assume I am abusing the meds or selling it on the street. They need to walk in my shoes to understand what I go through every day.

Walgreens Pharmacy

I take insulin normally I get the text that it is ready for pickup so I go there but when I go in I am told they do not have enough so I can take a partial order and come back. so I usually take 3 visits to get the entire order. I guess they feel I have nothing better to do with my life. When I asked the tech why this happens so often she said they have a limited supply and despite the text messages they give it to whoever is there first. So they bag up the prescription and then open it up to give to others if they get there before you, sounds to me like something is wrong. They know what my prescription is and when it is due it would seem a simple job to order needed drugs so that they are there when customers come in to get them when it is they who text that it is there and ready to pick up. this is normal at this walgreens.
