Waffle House review: The whole meal

12/3/2023. After attending a gospel concert, I wanted Waffle House. Since I visiting the area, I just chose the one closest to me.

It was just me (68) and my 80 year old almost blind friend.

We were at the 2000 E. Irving Blvd, Irving, TX location.

I have always loved Waffle House... pretty good food for a good price. I was SO disappointed at this location. The grits were lumpy and old tasting, the over-easy eggs were served with yolks broken, so unappealing. The hash browns were greasy and the pumpkin Waffle had lumps of something in it that was not good.

I did not complain as our waiter, Anthony, was a little scary. He rolled his eyes when we ordered water to drink, once he served the food, he never came back.

The other staff were arguing... it was a very unpleasant visit. It seems like a systemic problem with local management.

Very disappointed. We are both on limited income. Sad to spend our money and not enjoy it.
