Date of incident: 7/19/21. This complaint has to do with a rude deli employee at your store located at 845 College Blvd, Oceanside, Ca. My husband and I went up to the deli counter to order 2 breakfast sandwiches. At the time, there were 2 female employees behind the counter. When we came up to the counter, the employee to whom I am referring said, "It's going to be a while". My husband and I waited there for a little over 5 minutes, then left. We did some other shopping and when we went to the check out, I told the cashier that one of their deli employees told us they were too busy to wait on us. She in turn told the manager, who questioned us about what happened. It turns out the employee's name was Carrie (I don't know her last name). The manager said this was unacceptable behavior, and asked us to follow her back to the deli. We did so, and when we got there, the manager began to speak to Carrie. After only a few seconds, Carrie began to argue with the manager, telling her that she just told us it would be a "few minutes". I contradicted her, telling her that that is not what she said, she in fact told us that "it would be a while", which is quite different from a few minutes. Carrie then continued to argue with the manager, saying she was busy making 8 sandwiches. She was extremely rude, and continued to be so and argue with the manager. The manager did everything she could to remedy the situation, including having another employee make us the sandwiches. My complaint is not with the manager, it is about this rude employee named Carrie who in my opinion does not belong in a customer service position of ANY kind. She obviously realized she messed up and tried to cover her tracks by lying about what she did.

Ordered a power ranger cake for my sons 5th birthday. After picking it up, realized that they smooshed they top of the cake trying to box it up because it had a toy on top. They didn't even try to fix the ruined writing. So the night before my sons party, I had to go out and buy icing to fix the writing that I already paid someone to do. I will NEVER be ordering another cake from Vons. Every single time there is some kind of issue. I want a refund!
