Hi Jesse,

This is totally unacceptable that Vodacom does not resolve the issue. I have no choice but to escalate the query with senior echelons of Vodacom and Consumer Ombudsman.

Hi Jesse,

It has been 22 days since you contacted me with the promise of resolving my case. I'm really disappointed in Vodacom that the matter has not been resolved. I just want the money be refunded i.e. the co-payment and the Vodabucks can be kept as clearly the matter cannot be resolved to my satisfaction.

Hi Reg,

I hope you are well.

My sincerest apologies for the delay and the inconvenience caused to you.

I fully understand your frustration and I will be investigating this matter personally.

I will also be escalating those two stores you visited to ensure Nando's is furthermore made aware of these issues.

Again, my sincerest apologies for the delay in response as well as the inconvenience caused to you.

Have a great day.

Thanks,

Jesse Golding

Hello,
I used my Vodabucks Rewards on the 16th of October to purchase R200 Nandos Coupon which entails 270 Vodabucks and a co-payment of R159. The order number created was 2000089928 with wicode number 595663525 sent to my number [protected] via SMS on the same day, the 16th of October 2020. I then went to Nandos Allens Nek, Roodepoort the same day to redeem the wicode voucher number however no one could help including the store manager. I tried calling your call centre but due to call volume and I subsequently used the Vodacom Customer Care WhatsApp which could not help with my query. Below are the messages:

I then phoned your Customer Care Centre on the 17th of October to seek for help. The call centre agent assured me that if I go back to Nandos (any shop according to her), I should be able to redeem my voucher. I went to Nandos Randpark Ridge on the 21st of October 2020. Similar to my previous experience I could not be helped, and the store manager even mentioned they have no clue about this Vodabucks Rewards programme. I then phoned your Customer Care Centre on the 23rd of October whereby I requested to be refunded my co-payment and for reversal of 270 Vodabucks as I cannot receive the goods. I was given a reference number 1-348 177 2225 3772 and was promised resolution of the case within 7 days.

On the 05th of November, I phoned your call centre again as no one contacted me. I spoke to your call centre agent by the name of Wendy Martin and she promised me that my case will be resolved within 48 hours. I demanded that her manager phone me as I was not getting joy about the resolution of the case. I asked for a reference number and she said I should use her name as the reference. Today is the 12th of November and no one has bothered to contact me and I writing this letter as a demand for my refund of the co-payment and reversal of the 270 Vodabucks.

I am very much disappointed by the service of your Vodabucks Rewards programme, Customer Care Centre as the problem is not being resolved and is nearing a month.

I want you to refund my money and your programme is just not working with the suppliers not having a clue about it. This letter serves as a final straw to resolve the matter of which if it is not resolved within 3 days of receipt of this email, I will take it up with the company CEO, and the Consumer Ombudsman.

I cannot for the life of me believe that anybody, up to the highest level in your organisation, would think that there is any value or meaning in this Rewards Programme whatsoever... To customers that is.

It is beyond a shadow of a doubt the most meaningless and worthless Rewards Programne I have ever had the displeasure of being associated with.

An organisation of your size and calabre? Really Vodacom?

There's absolutely nothing worthwhile that customers can do with their point...
No wonder you are constantly trying to convince them to use up their points by "shaking", to win a smoothie.

So very true. Vodacom getting a very bad name. They must rather cancel the vodabucks competition and stop giving people hope. No one is winning
