Virgin Active South Africa review: Urgent hygiene concern at Virgin Active steam room

Dear Virgin Active Management,

I hope you are well. I am writing to report a serious hygiene and safety concern I recently experienced at your club.

A few days ago, I visited the steam room and was shocked to find four live cockroaches moving around inside the facility. I recorded a video of the incident as evidence. While I have occasionally seen one or two cockroaches in the past and tried to overlook it, this situation was far beyond acceptable for a health and wellness environment.

I want to make it very clear that the cleaning staff at the club work extremely hard, and I truly appreciate their effort. This issue is not related to poor cleaning. The team on the ground is doing their best. The real problem is pest control. The presence of multiple live cockroaches indicates a deeper infestation that requires proper extermination and facility-level intervention.

I am requesting that this matter be investigated urgently and that appropriate pest control measures be taken to ensure the steam room and surrounding areas are safe, hygienic, and comfortable for all members.

Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise on the actions that will be taken to address this issue.
