I only warn against booking an activity with Tripadvisor or Viator.

On a diving trip on the 20th. October 2023 with Down Under Dive I was not allowed to participate in a certified dive because I am 65 years old.

The diving instructor asked me for a medical health certificate, which I could no longer get due to the short-term booking.

In addition, the booking conditions state that a medical health certificate is only required for people older than 65 years.

This is misleading because it means that you need one from the age of 66. But I am 65 years old.

I am in possession of a diving certificate from Padi:

Diving certificate Adventure Diver No. 0202E03125 and therefore have all the necessary prerequisites.

A recovery of $90 for the booked certified dive is not possible.

In addition it is not possible to contact TripAdvisor by email or phone.

Since TripAdvisor does not have a proper imprint, nor an address. or another phone number in Germany another contact form for customers.

This violates the German Telemedia Act (§ 5 TMG)!

In addition, Viator can neither be reached by phone nor by e-mail. Neither in Germany nor in America.

Thus, a refund is impossible!

This is pure fraud that must be punished.
