I just had such a shocking experience at the Verizon Wireless store run by United Telecom on union turnpike in Fresh Meadows.
My phone's screen had stopped working and i had my phone replaced by the insurance company. When i entered the store to have my contacts and pictures transferred, the lady asked that i wait until she was finished with the other customers. When she finally got to me she charged me $10 for the transfer and then she started the transfer. During the transfer, while the pictures were being transferred, she decided she didn't want to complete the process. she then yanked the phone out and told me that i had to come back the next day!
The rudeness of how she abruptly pulled out the cord and slammed the phone on the counter telling me to return tomorrow is something that is hard for me to comprehend or explain fully.
When i demanded to speak to the store owner, she put some guy on the phone who sounded like her boyfriend more than he did a business owner who cares about his customers.
I am shocked that Verizon allows such low standards of service and obviously has no inspection of their independent store operators.
This happened on 12-08-09 at 7:25 pm and the name on the receipt is Tulip Sharma

My husband and I have been with verizon for 3 years and they just keep getting worse and worse. We called because it seems like for the last 6 months our bills have been up and down and really high and when we called the lady was just rude and said that we need to take it up at our local store but when we go in there they act like they don't know what they are doing and they never help! Is there any good cell phone companies that have any respect without us the customers they wouldn't even have their jobs!

but that is alot like saying you can tell the cops what to do cause you pay taxes... face it, you need a cell phone... it just depends on what evil company you get it from

I disagree. I have been to this store a few times and the reps there have always been helpful. Even gave me a loaner phone since my phone was in pieces and I had to wait for a replacement.
