Long time 20+ year customer with Verizon Wireless, 5 lines on same account due to coverage in our area...was paying over 250/month for years...moved 2 lines to T Mobile since their coverage improved...billed 211/month for remaining 2 lines and constantly running out of data. Moved last 2 lines to T Mobile 2 weeks ago for unlimited data for 107/month. Verizon has been screwing over long time customers and "rewarding" them by overcharging. We own our phones so there was no hardware costs or insurance...just over priced [censored]ty service. Had to go into local Verizon store for the transfer code as their portal was "down".. yeah, they just make it difficult as possible to leave. Service agents sucked, we're not very helpful at all but did finally give me the transfer code. On my way to the T Mobile office, I got a text from Verizon with an amazing deal of 10 dollars off per month for each line. This company is clueless. Their customer web portal is garbage. Lost a 20+ year customer who will NEVER be back. Verizon is the new Comcast of customer service! Maybe they'll try to change their name to cover their horrible gouging of loyal customers. Garbage company! Go to T Mobile...unlimited plans for half the price and no contract. Phone selection is good as well if your needing an upgrade. We buy our own phones. Very decision I made this year but kicking myself that we didn't move all 5 lines earlier.
Adding insult to injury...Verizon has been trying to charge me for an outstanding balance which I already paid and has been calling me at odd hours, just now at 8:15am on a Saturday. This company does not deserve to be in business. BTW, the "balance owed" was 138 dollars for a partial month with 1 line...my entire bill from T Mobile is 110 for 2 lines of unlimited.
Verizon is done...and should be done...they deserve it.
