VCA Animal Hospitals review: dr. kirk fitzgerald, kelly witty

I have two sick cats. One has severe IBS and was almost dying do to chronic diarrhea. I took her to ER doctor that gave her buprenorphine SL for the past month. The cat has now stopped all diarrhea and has gained weight and back to normal activities. I have another cat that I thought was supposed to have tooth surgery on 12-23-19 but was told on the day that it would just be a checkup. Meanwhile the cat is in pain and again thanks to the ER doctor, Dr Welch has been now providing both cats with pain medications. One for the teeth and the other for IBS.
The cats with the dental issue was told to me they can do surgery on 01-07-19 instead of 12-23-19. I took time off from work to do this. Then I made an appointment for the cats since they are running out of pain meds for Saturday 12-28-19 with a very nice clerk named Amanda. I explained to her that the cats need their pain meds. She told me Dr. Izaggari is out of town, but I could see Dr. Kirk Fitzgerald. I told Amanda she could get all the cat's information from the ER doctor. Last visit for one cat was in 11-2019 and the other in 05-2019.
I was called by a very rude lady named Kelly Witty and cancelled my appointment for Saturday 12-28-19 because Dr. Fitzgerald would not dispense Buprenorphine. MS. Witty justification was he doesn't know the cats, yet they have access to all the cats files and would have been able to know them but she cancelled my appointment on 12-28-19. She had lack of empathy for the two cats that are in pain. This is negligence and has been reported to the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. This is unacceptable. MS. Kelly told me I would have to wait till Monday for Dr. Izagerri to come back on Monday. To this date with both sick cats I have been given only 3 days of buprenorphine and that was so the cat with IBS would be put down to die. This is pure negligence with lack of compassion. I will also be reporting this to the humane animal society. My cats have been suffering and if it wasn't for an ER doctor one cat would be dead. Unacceptable
