On 9-1-2023 at approximately 7:30 PM I went to Spring Valley location for an abscess on my left thigh.

The entire visit once I got into exam room was about 10 minutes.

The Dr. Arsulo came into the room ,asked me what was wrong. I pulled off the bandage and showed her my abscess which was clearly infected. I said to her I was worried about contracting MRSA and would like some antibiotics.

She asked if I was allergic to any medication and which pharmacy I used.

She walked out of room and came back about 5 minutes later with discharge papers and prescription and I left.

No vitals were taken , my wound was not cleaned nor drained. In fact she never even asked if I needed it to be rebandaged .

I was absolutely shocked at the lack of treatment. I was even more shocked that she charged my insurance company $ 910.00 for treating and draining my abscess, which was never done. She never touched me.

I reached out to the billing department at UMC and was told to file a complaint on line even though the account has been paid.

This to me is complete fraud. People go to jail for insurance fraud and I do not think it should be any different just because your a doctor.

Shame on her.

Desired outcome: The Dr. to be reprimanded for the fraud. To make sure she does not do it again to any more trusting patients. To show more compassion and care for patients that come to you.
