TRS Recovery Services has been unable to verify or document the alleged debt. Amazon’s system authorized a payment on a card I never designated as a backup, and when the bank flagged the activity as suspicious, it reversed the payment while the order still shipped. Because banks routinely absorb fraudulent charges as part of their consumer protection obligations and fee's, Amazon was ultimately reimbursed by our bank, yet the debt was still forwarded to TRS. Any continued collection activity by TRS would therefore represent a duplicated recovery. This situation unfairly penalizes customers whose accounts are held hostage over disputes that are already reconciled between Amazon and their bank. TRS inability to verify or work within amazon allows no obligation to confirm if the charge was already absorbed by the bank. This explains why no efforts are made administratively before forwarding the debt. TRS benefits as customers are pressured to reinstate their accounts believing that they owe, while Amazon benefits reimbursement via bank, and additionally selling our debt to TRS.
Recommendation: Verify with your bank and amazon before making any payments to TRS
