I invested in a CD with Chase and worked with the Assistant VP, Tony Toaca, to complete the transaction.
I was new to Chase and their policies. I was going to be traveling when the CD matured, so I asked if there were other options to discuss renewing or closing it instead of physically coming into the bank (phone call, email).
Tony Toaca told me that I MUST be in his office upon maturity (He is the Asst. VP, I would think he knows what he’s talking about).
It was distressful to me, as I believed I was going to have to spend thousands to return to meet with him.
I later realized this was a lie when I called the 1800 number abroad and they told me I can manage it with them on the phone, no need to go into the bank.
It is clear to me that Tony Toaca goal was to get me back in front of him so he could sell me on a different product (and get a kickback, meet some financial incentive, etc). I confronted him about lying to me, but he never responded.
He has also been falsifying outreach to me with Chase. In summary, Tony Toaca lied to me, has zero accountability and will probably lie to you.
