I have been trying to receive an inheritance check from Chase after the death of a family member.
My sister, who is the executor of the will, supplied Chase with all required documentation and sent me the instructions she received from them. She subsequently received her inheritance.
I sent complete and notarized instructions as instructed via DHL which was received by Chase Estate Services on Friday, October 31. I have attached tracking details from the DHL website.
Since then, my sister and I have called customer services no less than 7 times over the last 2 1/2 months regarding the status of payment.
Every time, we get a runaround of excuses.
The last time I called, the agent acknowledged that they had received my instructions, but my sister had to call to confirm my eligibility AGAIN.
She called within minutes and was told a service order would be submitted to resolve the issue. This was on December 24.
My sister called today 1/5/2026 after receiving no updates. She was told they never received my instructions and I would have to get them notarized and delivered again.
Enough is enough.
It's bad enough how insensitive this is.
Then there's all these impediments they put in the way.
This is beyond unacceptable in the digital age.
They don't even offer the option of electronic transfer of funds.
This all seems like an intentional strategy to retain my funds for as long as possible.
Thank you
Gary
