Purchased $9, 900 in "designer" living room furniture. No, I am not WEALTHY...I saved for it. The sales rep NEVER mentioned all of the legal mumbo jumbo on the back of the sales receipt. She told me I was initialling for my delivery. When they arrived to deliver my furniture, they measured my door and refused to take the items off the truck stating the door way was 36" and the furniture was 38". They told me that I could "take a window out" of my home. What? They kept the furniture and then the madness began. No REFUND...NO contact with Management. You are forwarded to a Customer Service Call Center in Houston and they REFUSE to let you speak to management. After researching, I found the owner, an attorney, Ned Scherer in Virginia, and he referred me back to Customer Service. The legal mumbo jumbo on the back of the form was regarding "restocking fees" if for ANY REASON the furniture is returned. 15% of the purchase or 10% when over $1000. They MAIL YOU your monies MINUS the fees ...SUPOSSEDLY, but 32 days later, I called the customer service center to inquire about my REFUND and advised them that they were failing to honor their own deceptive sales policy...I was called by a team lead, who stated she would authorize me getting a refund via my debit card. Why the "F" didn't they do that in the first place. STAY AWAY FROM THE DUMP. THEY HAVE AN "F" RATING WITH THE BBB. THEY HAVE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE. IT IS A DUMP... BUYER'S BEWARE! SEE YOU SLOBS IN COURT.

STOP MISLEADING YOUR CUSTOMERS! Your TV ads make the customer think you are going out of business and everything has to be sold right away. They rush in to buy things and guess what, you do it all again the following week. It is a great way to keep making money, BUT, you are not being honest to the public. You are not going out of business, and there is NO hurry to sell everything, EXCEPT to make room for more stuff, to sell it, and make a lot more money fast! You make people think it is the end of the world, if it is not all sold during the weekend. Why can’t it take a week or so to sell, just like any other business? The reason is, because your false advertising will make you more money in a short period of time. You also tell people that you got all this new stuff in, AND IT HAS TO BE MOVED! Well, stop bringing in so much stuff and you won’t have to move it so fast... OH...WAIT...A... MINUTE...you won’t make as much money! I would rather make a little money honestly, than a lot of money dishonestly...but...that...is...just...me... How do you live with yourself, knowing your gimmick is misleading people. I know how you can live with yourself, you are greedy... I know I am not the only person that feels this way, ...but... I am more than likely the only person to say something. Most people are slow learners, BUT, they will eventually get sick and tired of your ads ( just like me ) and stop buying from you. So, make as much money as you can! What goes around, comes around! Your misleading gimmick will stop working sooner or later.
They keep advertising all rugs at outrages prices, basically 10% of retail. However, upon going into the store, all the rugs are not on sale, and even then not for 10% of retail. they should pull these ads.
I SHOPPED THERE BOUGHT FURNITURE FOR MY SON FIRST APPARTMENT ALL WENT WELL. I PAID OFF LOAN EARLY THEY ENDING UP OWEING ME MONEY. MY STATEMENT SHOWED I HAD 2, 500.00 AVAILBLE FOR CREDIT, SO I RETURNED TO PURCHASE MY DAUGHTER AN ENTERTAINMENT CENTER FOR HER NEW HOME WHICH WAS ONLY 1200.00. BUT WHEN I GET READY TO CHECK OUT I WAS TOLD I NEED TO PUT A DOWN PAYMENT DOWN AND THEY RERUN YOUR CREDIT AFTER 90 DAYS . THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER HEARD THAT! I FELT AFTER SHOWING THEM THAT I VALUE MY CREDIT BY PAYING EARLY ON THE PREVIOUE PURCHASE I WOULD BE TREATED LIKE A GOOD CUSTOMER THAT I AM. THE MANAGER WAS VERY RUDE, THE CUSTOMER SERVICES REPS WERE RUDE NO ONE COULD ANSWER MY QUESTIONS. I CALLED THE CORP OFFICE GOT NO WHERE. I WROTE A LETTER NO RESPONSE. AND THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO SEND ME ADS ABOUT THEIR SALES, HA! I'M SENDING IT BACK WITH ANOTHER LETTER INFORMING THEM THAT THEY HAVE BEEN D-U-M-P-E-D-! DONT SHOP THERE PUT IT ON YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE!
I am a witness to what actually happened that day in customer pickup at The Dump. The manager you spoke to told you that pickup was closed. Your reply was "I am not leaving until I get my GD furniture." He again told you that he could not get your furniture for you. You continued to get louder and more belligerent. The manager then informed you that he was calling the cops. Let me remind you that you are the person that used the GD word. The cops came. You stayed on your cell phone while they were talking to you, and showed the cops total disrespect. The cop that was speaking to you told you that if you did not get off the phone and leave the property that you would be arrested.
The manager did speak to you that night. After learning that I had witnessed the incident, and looking at the security tapes in the customer pickup department, he had a better idea of what had happened. He called you back as he promised, and promptly refunded your money.
I went to the dump the other day and bought a desk. I decided to pick it up because I work two miles down the road. The sales associate told me I could pick it up on moday after work by 7pm. On Monday I walked into the dump at 5:30pm to pick up my furniture and they said they where closed and that I could not pick it up. I asked to speak to a manager and this guy then came storming out told me there was no way I was getting my furniture and told me if I did not leave the F****** store he was calling the GD cops. I asked him to get his manager and he refused. As I called the sales associate he called the cops. I got in touch with the actual manager later that night and he said he would do whatever it took to fix this problem and to call him the next day. Well I have been calling him over and over and he will not return my calls. I still do not have my furniture and I was treated worse than I have ever been in my life. DO NOT SHOP HERE.
The same exact thing happened to me however I am not getting my restocking fee refunded. I have been in contact with the CEO, Ned Scherer, who is a lawyer and now president and CEO of The Dump. He is unethical and immoral. All he cares about is making money. He doesn't care about the consumer. He belongs IN a dump!
