on December 6th, I brought several members of my company to your restaurant for what we hoped would be an enjoyable steak dinner. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
We called two hours ahead to notify the restaurant that we would be arriving with a larger party and were assured that this would not be a problem and that space would be available. However, upon arrival, the front-of-house staff was noticeably rude and appeared unhappy to serve us. This created a very unwelcoming atmosphere, though we chose to give the establishment the benefit of the doubt.
After being seated, it took an hour and a half for our food to arrive. When it finally did, most of the meals were room temperature at best, and five of us who ordered hamburgers received them significantly overcooked. One member of our party specifically requested a plain hamburger with nothing on it and informed the waitress of a tomato allergy. Despite this, the burger arrived with all toppings — including tomatoes. It then took an additional two hours for a corrected burger to be brought out. To your restaurant’s credit, that was the only dish we received that was actually hot.
During the lengthy wait after placing our orders, we were also informed that several items we had already ordered — including baked potatoes, chili, and shrimp — were unavailable because the restaurant had run out of them. Mind you it had already been an hour since we hab put our order in.
I want to clearly state that none of these issues were the fault of our waitress. She was attentive, kind, and did the best she could under the circumstances. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the manager on duty. She offered little assistance or accountability, removed only one incorrect meal from the bill after a member of my party demanded something be done, and dismissed the situation by stating, “Oh well, we were busy tonight.” Your establishment is Packed every night so to me this was a sorry excuse, and they should be prepared. We were there at 7:30pm and we were the only party still there waiting for food at 9:30pm while all other customer's we gone or leaving. It was after 10:00pm when our party was finally able to finish meals and check out.
This entire experience has left me extremely disappointed. I had been considering Texas Roadhouse as the venue for my company’s end-of-year dinner because I have enjoyed your food in the past. However, after this experience, I can no longer consider your establishment for that event.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and address the issues raised so that future guests do not encounter the same problems. To assist further I have attached the receipt from our visit to this email
