Parma location had me leave with a major oil leak
On Sunday 11/5 I came to the Parma Ohio Location for an oil change. Noticed the tech was under the car longer than normal, he then left to grab a coworker and he went under the car. The manager then asked where I had my last oil change done. I told where and he then said that they stripped my oil plug and that I had an oil leak. They topped off my oil and I...

On August 28, 2023, I proactively had my oil changed at Take 5 Oil Change before a month long trip overseas. Cost was $109.88. When I returned in October I noticed a lot of oil droplets leaking from the front area of the engine. I took my vehicle back to Take 5 on October 19, 2023 and the manager insisted that I had a rear main seal leak. I asked again to check around the filter but he insisted it was old oil. A technician snuggled down the oil filter housing and topped off the oil. I then had to wait a week to get an appointment with my Independent BMW mechanic. He stated that the oil seal was not installed with the new filter. Replacing filter, troubleshooting and clean up cost $321.43. I went back to the same manager on October 25, 2023 and he took a photo of my receipts. Told me he would get back with me but as of November 3, 2023 have not heard back. Just over 400 miles had been driven and had lost 1 quart of oil.
Claimed loss: $321.43 for the replacement of the Oil filter, diagnosis and clean up.
Desired outcome: I would like Take 5 to reimburse me for the needed repair of the mistake they made not putting in the oil filter seal.

I presented for an oil change on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. I arrived at 5:50 PM CST and there were no other customers. I asked how late they were open and was told 6 PM. Read full review of Take 5 Oil ChangeTake 5 should have given me the owner's phone number so that I could complain to him or her without interference from the take 5 manager.
Recommendation: Do not take your car to any Take 5 Oil Change unless the manager will freely give you the owner's phone number. Why? Because a Take 5 OIL Change on Whitten Rd. left my car's oil plug loose and I wasted 2 hours of my time at a Mazda dealer thinking my engine gaskets were leaking. Take 5 really "TOOK ME" because not only did they refuse a refund but the owner's phone number as well so that I could not complain to him directly.
Oil change
Went in for oil change worse customer service ever. The man said I had to o use synthetic or my motor would blow up I've never used synthetic Then wouldn't honor my coupon when a rep gave it to me today saying she doesn't work here which made no sense. Oil change
I was in the shop on Nettleton Ave in Jonesboro AR round the first of July. I got a full oil change. The technician had a problem and called someone over. They threw something onto their little work cart and looked like they were trying to repair something. He called over the other technician and the boss I guess who sits in the middle and collects the cash. They were shaking their heads and walked away. They had broken off the ring to my dipstick and pretended nothing happened. I went in for the advertised oil change and they ended up charging me around 30 dollars more than what I was expecting to pay. They also gave me a checklist and hadn't really checked most of it. I am disgusted and will never return and am seriously considering getting an attorney. Customers should not be treated this way.
Desired outcome: Fix my car

So, my baby mama took her car to Take 5 Oil Change for a routine oil change. She's been going there for a while and always had a good experience. But this time, something went wrong. We're still trying to figure out what happened, but the car caught on fire while she and our daughter were in it. The brakes stopped working and the car was completely engulfed in flames. It was a scary situation, but thankfully they both made it out alive. Witnesses said that if she had been just 30 seconds later, it could have been a different story.
I don't know what to think about this whole thing. We're still trying to get to the bottom of it. All I know is that I'm grateful that they're both okay. It's just a shame that something like this had to happen. I hope that Take 5 takes responsibility for what happened and does everything they can to make it right. It's the least they can do after putting my family in danger like that.
Overall, I can't recommend Take 5 Oil Change anymore. I know accidents happen, but this was a pretty serious one. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what we did. So, if you're thinking about taking your car there, I'd say think twice. There are plenty of other places to get your oil changed that don't have a history of catching cars on fire.
Disappointing Experience at Take 5 Oil Change: Poor Attention to Detail and Customer Service
I was really disappointed with my first experience at Take 5 Oil Change. Three months ago, I went there for an oil change and it was a complete disaster. The engine oil was all over my engine and they didn't even bother to clean it up. To make matters worse, oil was dripping on my driveway. It was a mess! I was so frustrated that I decided to go back to the shop and speak to their manager. I went to the TAKE5 OIL CHANGE - #191 located at 7545 FM 78 in San Antonio, Texas ***.
I explained the situation to the manager and he was very apologetic. He promised to make things right and assured me that they would do a better job next time. I was hesitant to give them another chance, but I decided to trust them and give them another shot.
Last Saturday, on October 15, 2022, I drove back to Take 5 Oil Change for another oil change. I was hoping that this time things would be different. Unfortunately, the following day I noticed that there was an oil drip on my driveway. I was so frustrated! I decided to investigate the issue myself and found out that the oil filter was loose. They failed to tighten it properly!
Overall, I am really disappointed with my experiences at Take 5 Oil Change. I don't think I will be going back there again. It's a shame because they are conveniently located and their prices are reasonable. However, their lack of attention to detail and poor customer service is unacceptable. I hope they can improve their services in the future.
Unreliable and Untrustworthy: My Experience with Take 5 Oil Change in Johnson City, TN
I recently had my car's oil changed at the Take 5 Oil Change location in Johnson City, TN on 10/22/22. My car may have been older, but it was still running smoothly. However, after driving for about 60 miles, I noticed that the "Low Oil Pressure; Stop Engine Immediately" light had come on. I immediately contacted Take 5 Oil Change and they sent someone out the next morning to replace the oil filter. Unfortunately, later that day, my engine blew.
Take 5 Oil Change claims that this was just a coincidence and that my car had other mechanical issues that caused the engine to fail. However, I find it hard to believe that this was just a coincidence. There were no issues noted on my receipt, but there is evidence that the oil leaked out on my Mother's driveway. I did not have an oil leak prior to getting my oil changed, so it seems unlikely that this was just a coincidence.
I would strongly advise against using this business for any oil changes or other services. It is clear that they do not take responsibility for their mistakes and are not willing to make things right for their customers. It is important to find a trustworthy and reliable business for your car's maintenance needs, and unfortunately, Take 5 Oil Change is not one of them.
Poor Customer Service Experience at Take 5 Oil Change: Over 2 Hour Wait for Service and Hostile Attitude from Workers
Hi there,
I recently visited the Take 5 Oil Change location and had a less-than-pleasant experience. While I arrived at 10:48am, I did not leave until 12:46pm - a total of nearly two hours! Despite having only one car in front of me upon arrival, my own car was not serviced until 11:15am. I then waited inside the shop for over an hour and a half, during which time all other vehicles that were behind me in line were serviced before mine.
When I inquired as to why my car was the last to be serviced even though I arrived earlier than others, I was met with hostility from one of the workers there. This individual yelled at me and checked in other patrons, leaving me to continue waiting for my own service.
The experience was extremely frustrating and left me feeling insulted. I believe changes need to be made in the customer service approach at this location, as it is not fair nor appropriate to treat customers in such a manner.
Disappointing Experience at Take 5 Oil Change: Shaking Car and Check Engine Light
Took my car to Take 5 Oil Change for an oil change and boy, was it an experience! Waited for about 15 minutes before they could attend to me, but I didn't mind as they were busy trying to upsell the customer in front of me. Finally, it was my turn and they charged me $105, which included a first-time customer discount of $10.
As I drove out of the garage, my car started shaking and I was worried. I went back to the attendants and they had no idea what was happening. After a couple of minutes, the shaking stopped and they said it was fine. I drove it home, but the transmission was not engaging well, and the shaking returned and got increasingly worse. To make matters worse, the check engine light came on.
I was so frustrated and decided to get it towed to a Ford dealership. They ran a diagnostic and determined that the air-intake hose was very loose and the air filter was not reset properly. The diagnostic cost me $150, which was quite expensive. I was not happy with the service I received from Take 5 Oil Change and I would not recommend them to anyone.
In conclusion, if you are looking for an oil change, I suggest you look elsewhere. Take 5 Oil Change may seem like a good option, but they are not worth the hassle. The attendants are not knowledgeable and the service is not up to par. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
