Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center my care well there for ptsd trauma

I recently visited your hospital I am a 40 year old complex trauma victim of a crime amongst other traumas . I frequently visit ER rims when I trigger and know that my spiral to dissasocation, wander self harm as well as can mimic other disorders . I came to Sunrise ER to be treated for this and I was and at the misdt of my discharge I told the Dr I was not ready I had thought I was fine but I'm fact needed more time because I was overwhelmed and self harm could play out or I can wonder the Dr said I can go to the front and re register to be seen . I then was trying to find my way to the front to register but was lost so I asked for help I asked a woman behind the glass for help she was extremely rude to be told me I was discharged and needed to leave I explained to her that I wanted to be reseen because of my PTSD the woman who's name was Susan then said to me oh ya PTSD for what I told her the nature of my PTSD she then said well you been seen I told her I don't feel
Safe Susan then called security which is a trigger because I have been in prisoner by sexual assault I was calm and crying asking for help and Susan just kept on saying get her out of here off property. At this time I was so scared walking around in a hospital paper pant and shirt no shoes no bra no underwear escorted off property by security I could not find my car and became frantic began to wander in the road till I sat in the road for 20 minutes at this time security came telling me I was a idiot and get out of the road . I asked the man for his name and he would not give me his name at this time metro cane sites me for trespassing I explained to the officer crying that I was having a spiral and needed help he told me to get in my car erratic a mess I can not drive and go to another Hospital

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center the lack of treatment

Came into sunrise June 24 with a second/third degree burn to my left hand.
I sat dizzy and nauseous for the entire visit.
The service was not even up to par they sat me in a room with no information no checking of my hand.

They staff didn't dress or even tend to my burn they simply didn't care from the lack of professionalism they displayed to the lack of answering questions or even acknowledging the pain.

A prescription without diagnosis or treatment was not appreciated I came to the hospital to be treated and nothing.

This is the most disappointing thing I've ever experienced in my life.

I will be seeking another opinion and also I am beginning to file a male practice suit as well.

I have swelling and limited movement with my hand and consistent pain, no clue how to treat my wound because of the lack of consideration shown.

I will be moving forward with all legal issues.

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center emergency room

My brother was taken to Sunrise Hospital by ambulance from V.A. hospital about 16:00 hours on April 1, 2016. He had severe chest pain and was treated and released about midnight. When I got him home and went to check his blood sugar I noticed that the I.V. had not been removed from his atm. I understand that human error happens but when I called E.R. to let them know is when my mishap became a complaint. I have never in all of my 72 years been treated or talked to so rudely. The person who answered the E.R. phone needs a really good talking to by somebody. Her name was Sherry, which is all that I know but am sure you can figure out who she is. I was extremely cordial to her, just explained that I wanted to let them know to be more careful and she flat called me a liar several times. She said that they would NEVER do that so either I was lying of my brother left on his own against doctors orders. I told her that was not the case. That he was discharged properly with prescriptions and discharge papers and all she kept saying was I was lying. I was extremely flabbergasted and could not sleep until I wrote to you. Please have somebody tell this woman that She needs to learn some manners. BTW. My brothers name is Kenneth E. Miller. You can check that he was in fact discharged and did not leave against doctors orders and I am attaching a picture of the iv left in his atm so that you may show Sherry the picture when you discipline her which I hope very much somebody does. My number is [protected]. Thanks very much for listening.

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center The care after my Hysterectomy

I was scheduled for surgery Friday, January 8 2016. We drove in from Pahrump with our 6 year old daughter. I checked in and we were waiting for me to be called when my daughter wanted to find a drinking fountain so her Dad took her and then I was called back. The nurse said where is your ride I said they went to get a drink of water and she rolled her eyes. That pretty much set the tone for the rest of the stay. She had no idea we left the house @7am to be there by 8:30. They started getting me ready and asked about my family, went to the waiting room and brought them back. I get out of surgery and they won't let my daughter back to see me and they don't have a room ready. At 4pm they said they had a room so my daughter and her Dad go upstairs to take my clothes to room 4111. The nurse told them my daughter is not allowed on the floor because it's flu season! All my daughter wanted to do is see if her Mom was ok! There were no signs saying no visitors allowed and other people were visiting. They had to leave my personal items at the nurses desk and they left. When I got to the room 3 nurses came in. I was upset because they wouldn't let my family in. They ignored me and asked me if I wanted a flu Vaccine. I got my flu vaccine and about 30 min later I had a bad headache. I let the nurse know about 2 hours later and she said you have pain medication and I said it's not working and she left. It wasn't until the Doctor came in the next morning when I told him I've had a bad headache since yesterday. He looked at them and asked them why didn't they give me Tylenol. They came in before I left and tried to give me another flu vaccine. The night of my surgery I was experiencing bad anxiety. When the nurse came in I told her and she said "well what do you do for it at home" I told her "I've never had this problem before". She completely ignored me! Due to the type of surgery I had, my last meal was Wednesday two days prior. I didn't get to eat unit Saturday @11am. They said its because they didn't send an order to the kitchen. It wasn't until I got home and Googled 'Hysterectomy recovery' and found that Anxiety was #2 and its common. The nurse could have told me! My stay in the hospital was awful! They didn't care about my recovery or my 6 year old who wanted to just see her Mom. I would never go back or recommend this Hospital to anyone.

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center The attitude was terrible and they left us in the waiting room

My wife is a senior lady and she has real problems with heart. One evening, she felt worse than usual and we immediately went to Sunrise Hospital Medical Center. To my surprise, the staff left us in the waiting room and promised to return with the doctor. They came back 2 hours later and my wife was in such a pain. They took blood for the test and went away. It was the worst services, which we have ever faced, but we have attended different hospitals.

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center hospital stay

While awaiting surgery, no bed available-left me sitting in plastic chair all dressed up in gown, head cover. In recovery, morphine pump inoperative. First patient room had another inoperative morphine pump, took couple hours to locate another. Nurse call system also out of order in this room. Wandered into hallway, iv pole and all to find nurse. Closest nurses station refused to help me as I was not their patient. Was told to go down the hall and find another nurses station on my own. Cying and wandering the hallway got attention of other patients who could not get a nurse to answer their calls for help either. Finally got a nurse and was moved to another room with a working nurse call button. This room had no working lights for my side of the room. One of my veins collapsed and nurses didn't believe that I was in severe pain. Had to have my husband return to hospital and raise a fuss. Dr. on call eventually came and instructed nurse to change arms for my iv medicines. I was initially moved into a patient room approx. 4 p.m. and discharged at 5 p.m. the next day and NEVER was put on the meal schedule. My husband had to provide all meals during my stay. I absolutely will never stay in this hospital again as the facilities and nursing staff are completely unsatisfactory and could be life threatening.

My son is 10 months of age and had swallowed a penny, they life flighted him into Sunrise Hospital. upon arrival we were asked many questions that seemed far fetched and non related to the circumstances at all as well any questions we had were answered in the same matter, the only thing explained clear was there rules and policies which made you seem more of an inmate instead of patient. they would not do surgery until the next morning after we had just been told by another physician (not nurse actual doctor!) that we most likely would be leaving the same night. my son also has a heart disease called pro long Q T that many medications could start a reaction and put him into cardiac arrest. We explained this thoroughly and time after time but each TIME we seen another staff member, they had not an idea including the surgeon right before surgery of his heart disease. the operation took an hour longer then we were quoted by the surgeon and afterwards find out they spent 45 minutes getting an IV into him, of course we were not allowed back there so terrified and scared, strapped down to the table with no known faces around they poked at my son over 15 times! to get an appropriate IV in... the doctor informs me after the operation. Words cannot explain this experience detailing enough, not once did I feel as if I or my child was an actual person at Sunrise hospital, but another pay check. Far from home, after a night of restless sleep on the floor, for they did not provide any kind of sleeping arrangement, and forcing our baby to sleep in a foreign crib, more so like cage (policy they said), we went home. God forbid your child swallows a penny.

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center - Harassment

Went to Hospital after a night of severe kidney pain and unable to move/leave until about 4:30 a.m. I have a pelvic kidney and something was wrong that night. While kidney is usually smaller, deformed and turned backward, I never had problems before this. Radiology tests from this visit showed it to be much larger than usual and now larger than good left...
