Stop & Shop review: Produce

The complaints I would like to make today are for the lemons and the pre-sliced mushrooms. The lemons on the display for purchase were 90-95% moldy. Showing black and brown and some green spots on the lemons. The pre - sliced mushrooms were shriveled up and non eatable. I took photos and went to search for an associate. I found one and asked him if the lemons are supposed to look like that. Without even making eye contact the associate said to ask the other associate to find me new ones in the back. The other associate came and I showed him the lemons. He said if I wanted he can go in the back and find some more for me. I declined and told him no thank you but he should take them off the sales floor because they don’t look consumable. He went along his way back to work. Upon checking out I mentioned my issue to a cashier which she then encouraged me to go to a manager and voice my concerns and make a complaint. For which I did after checking out, I went to the main office I knocked on the door. I was not greeted by a woman who seemed very annoyed by me. I told her exactly what I wrote in this complaint, including showing her a video and photos I took on my phone. She then told me that she will handle it and she will take a look at what I was talking about and to have a good day. I asked her shouldn’t I write a written complaint and she said no there’s no use for that she will handle it. She was not nice nor very cordial and at that point I just wanted to leave because my customer service didn’t seem welcomed there whatsoever.
