Southwest Airlines review: Flight 2569 Dallas-Tampa - November 1 2026
During the beverage service, a young male flight attendants walked down the aisle simply motioning with his mouth, pointing his finger at passengers, and making a drinking gesture with his hand and mouth before moving on without speaking a single word. When it was my turn, I ordered my usual drink: a gin and tonic. Instead of providing the standard individual can of tonic water and miniature bottle of gin for me to mix, the attendant handed me a cardboard cup filled with ice and a pre-mixed drink that he poured himself. The drink barely smelled of gin and I was given no control over the proportions.
Later, when the crew passed out small bags of pistachios and pretzels, they dropped the service container on the cabin floor. They picked the items up, walked to the front of the plane, and—as I observed directly from my seat—simply placed those exact bags that had been on the floor right back into the container.
I expect a baseline of respectful communication, adherence to standard service procedures, and, above all, basic food safety and hygiene when flying with your airline. The conduct I witnessed today was deeply troubling.
I look forward to your prompt response.
Sincerely,
Gabriel Parra
