Dear Customer Relations,
I am writing to formally dispute a series of recurring charges that have been deducted from my bank account without my knowledge or authorization.
After reviewing my bank statements, I discovered that I have been charged approximately $74.76 each month beginning shortly after my family visited Sky Zone Bowie. I have also identified additional charges from Sky Zone, including transactions from the Bowie and Waldorf locations. At no time did I knowingly enroll in, authorize, or agree to a recurring membership or automatic monthly billing.
Based on my records, the recurring charges include, but may not be limited to:
January 3, 2026 – $72.58
February 3, 2026 – $74.76
March 3, 2026 – $74.76
April 3, 2026 – $74.76
May 3, 2026 – $74.76
June 3, 2026 – $74.74
July 3, 2026 – $74.76
These charges have totaled more than $500 over the past several months.
I first noticed these recurring withdrawals after visiting Sky Zone on a single occasion. I did not intentionally purchase a membership, nor was I aware that I had been enrolled in one. This raises serious concerns for me regarding your enrollment process.
I would like answers to the following questions:
How was a membership established in my name?
What documentation do you have showing that I knowingly authorized recurring monthly charges?
Was my electronic signature or consent obtained specifically for a membership, or was the membership embedded within a general waiver or consent form?
If the membership was included within another document, how was it disclosed to consumers?
Please provide me with a copy of any agreement, waiver, electronic signature, or authorization that you believe gave Sky Zone permission to charge my account each month.
I am concerned that consumers may be unknowingly enrolled in memberships through disclosures that are not sufficiently clear or conspicuous. If this is the case, I believe it could be a deceptive business practice. I sincerely hope that this is not what occurred and that this matter can be resolved promptly.
Accordingly, I am requesting that Sky Zone:
Immediately cancel any membership associated with my account.
Refund all unauthorized recurring membership charges deducted from my account.
Provide written documentation explaining how these charges were authorized.
Respond to this complaint within 14 business days.
If this matter cannot be resolved satisfactorily, I will consider filing complaints with my financial institution, the Maryland Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division, the Better Business Bureau, and any other appropriate consumer protection agencies.
I hope we can resolve this matter quickly and professionally. I look forward to your prompt response.
Sincerely,
Melinda Williamson

This is a textbook case of stealth enrollment, and you have documented it perfectly. Here is your practical path: call your bank immediately and dispute all charges as unauthorized recurring transactions, ask them to block any future Sky Zone debits. Then send that exact letter you wrote, but add a specific deadline of 7 business days instead of 14, and mention that you will file with the Maryland Attorney General and your bank's fraud department if they do not respond. Also, check the waiver you signed online; it likely had a pre-checked membership box. If so, that is deceptive and you should mention that explicitly. You are doing everything right, so stay firm.
