prescription
Gave prescription to pharmacy, they could not fill it. They put order in but pills did not show up until prescription expired. Know they say they cannot fill it because the computer says it's past the expiration date.
I gave them the prescription before it was expired, know they tell me I need to go back to the doctor to get a new one.
This is not right.

produce
So I came in 3 days ago and brought a red pepper, went to cut it open and it was mold. I have pictures and I'm not to happy. The picture I'm sending on the right is the pepper I brought and the left is one I already had. I'm not sure what you can do but I never had a problem shopping at shaws until the 17th. So please email me with what can get done
terrible customer service, building maintenance
I was walking out of shaw's in woodsville, nh this morning with a cart-the pavement in front of the door was so broken and pitted that it made the cart flip completely over. As I was walking when this happened, I went right over the top of the cart injuring my leg. They're was a gentleman that worked there getting carts, he did not try to help, and when I tried to speak to him about it, he said that they knew about the pavement and he would tell them it "happened again" I will never shop there again, even if my life depends on it.
never have sales items
Hello, I am a mymixx member and usually shop at the Waterville Maine store. I have recently had to switch to the Augusta Maine store. The Waterville store almost never carries the sales items advertised in the flyers. Almost every time I visited that store I was let down by either the sales item not being carried or them running out and not restocking the shelves even though it was only part way through the day.
I don't mean to intrude on business but I am a manager for a different grocer and it is always our goal to make sure that we don't run out of the sales item and that every store carries it for at least the week that it is on sale. Thank you for your time.

the overall service
I go to Shaws in Burlington on my way home from work at least 3 times per week. I have had 3 very bad interactions with employees at this store.
1.) Young man at the "Customer Service" desk one evening informed me that his break was now only 2 minutes long because I had come to the desk. The whole time he was yelling to cashiers and other employees and not focusing on me. (oh and I had just finished a double shift with a bad cold) so I just left.
2.) Went to get shrimp and need it already defrosted so I went to the fish department and asked for 3 pounds of shrimp and pointed. The man told me to go get a 2pound bag out of the freezer and then he would give me 1pound from the case. I tried to explain I wanted it defrosted from the case but he kept repeating himself. I gave up and went to Stop N Shop. The best is I said okay nevermore thank you. As I was walking away he was still yelling for me to get the 2 pound bag then sarcastically saying have a great day over and over.
3.) This Monday my birthday I stop to treat myself. I go to the Meat Department and it so happens the girl from the meat department is stocking the shelves. I say hello do you happen to have any Beef Tenderloin Roasts. Before I get the whole sentence out she turn and says in a very harsh tone "NO" then goes back to doing her work. I was in such shock I must have stared at her for 2 minutes then said do you have any Fillet Mignon (I know it is the same thing but was not sure if she did with her quick snap) she turns and says it is the same thing "NO". She continued to stand in the way so I could not look at any of the meat selection she had just put away. She never suggested something else.
As I was walking towards the registers just wanting to make my purchase and get on with my birthday I came across a very nice employees who I see often. Her name is Mary I stopped her and asked if they had a problem hiring or keeping good employees on and explained to her what had just happened. She told the store manager who wanted my name and number.
Mary found me checking so I did give my information to her. It is now Wednesday and the Store manger still has not called.
These three people I would not want representing my business. So I have decided why should I spend my hard earned money at a store where the employees are rude. That is my hard earned money paying there salary. So that means I am paying them to be rude to me?!
Not anymore! I will drive the other way to Stop N Shop or past my house to Market Basket they are never rude so they must teach their employees the difference between Profit (me) and Overhead (them).
Thank you
poor customer service!
I was at my local shaws which I shop at frequently! The deli and bakery are my favorite as well as the employees most of the time. Today I shopped the flyer deal 6 or more items for $1.88 a piece in which I got some of the ocean spray blend but it was the 100% juice which I guess isn't included, yet the flyer doesn't specify that. Nobody would help me, I even went to customer service so I didn't hold up the line! In the end the items which should have cost me $11 actually cost me $21! I was t very impressed since the flyer doesn't say excludes the 100% juice and the ones I got were a "blend"! I spoke to two managers which wouldn't help me out either. Needless to say today wasn't a great shopping experience as it usually is there for me. That's why I shop there at least a few times a week! Maybe you need to include that in your flyer that it excludes those items!
employee drunk at work.
I'm a regular customer at you Shaw's in Weymouth, MA. I go there every other dayotherthe last time I went in to shop one of your employee was drunk. I know because you could smell the buss on his brearh. Qhen my husband told the store director. He just said no he"s not drunk and shrung his shoulders. The employee also goes to the liquor store while on breaks.
cash register receipt
I hate to shop there — those receipts really suck — you should be ashamed of yourself.
Thats a good way of screwing people, never show them what the price is at the register (the employees can't find it)
Their best is when they have a 3 day sail and don't take the sale signs down till the end of the week (you think your getting the sale but they screw you with the outrageous price's)
No wonder shaws comes in 98 out of a hundred in customer satisfaction.
Some BONE head in upper management can't figure out why they are 98th in the consumer reports. Market Basket and Trader Joe are 1 and 2.
store director in vergennes vt. store #444
I am an employee of Shaws. Been working in store 444 for over 5 years but am leaving the end of this month. Constant harassment from Tim LeBeau is the main reason. Many fine, dedicated employees here, including my boss, Ray Williams who is an outstanding man as well as an outstanding boss. However, LeBeau makes it impossible for me to work there. He is a very bad store director, the worst we have ever had since I have been there. He is very condescending to his employees, and I am far from alone in my opinion of LeBeau. Instead of offering assistance to the employees, he bad mouths them, sitting in his office half the day watching them work, then coming downstairs and finding fault with all of them. I work in dairy, and he will go after me one day for yogurt not being up, then when I put yogurt up first, he finds something else wrong. I am going to be leaving the end of January because I will not tolerate his harassment any longer. I have enjoyed my years at Shaws until Mr LeBeau arrived and now I hate my job.
I fully agree1
produce department
I bought a whole water melon from the Easton Mass. Shaws and it was rotten I returned it the same day that I bought it, I don't know if you have been to that store recently but the floor is a disgrace and is a liability for an elderly person to fall down. I told them at customer service that you advertisement you"re in for something fresh is a joke this isn't the first time I bought some frozen fish that had expired six months before, this store should be closed. Also when I returned the watermelon the person at customer service never even apologized.
I am never shopping at Easton shaws again
I am never shopping at shaws in Easton agin
false advertisement
I was shopping at the shaws in cranston ri. There was advertisement up about the monopoly game and bonus tickets for certain items. Well, most of my purchased were a bonus ticket. When I checked out they told me that it didn't start yet so I couldn't get my tickets for the game. Why advertise something that you all don't offer yet. Will I be able to being my receipt in and get my tickets when it does start? I hope so cause if not I won't be back I doby think it's fair to a customer to purchase something and not get what you were suppose to get. Please help
Thank you for your time.

never enough lanes open at stafford st.
It's unbelievable. I need eggs and bread for breakfast Sunday morning and I have to wait in line for 20 minutes. It's New Year's Eve right now, a typically busy supermarket day. Shaws Stafford St has a whopping 4 checkout lanes open, 1 express. There were literally 10 people in each normal line and about 15 in the express lane. What's worse is they removed the self check scanners. HIRE MORE PEOPLE! IT HAS 10 REGISTERS, OPEN THEM ALL ON HOLIDAYS! And if this wasn't a habitual issue I'd let it slide, but it's getting unbearable. Shaws Stafford St. Worcester MA.
hummus has expired date
OMG. I bought hummus from Shaws Supermarket and brought it home. I was eating it and looked at the can, and suddenly I noticed that the hummus has expired date. I ate old hummus. I threw it away, but I have complained to the supermarket. But they ignored my complaint and told that they would check the expiry dates. Next day I again came to the store and all these cans with old expiry date was on the shelves. Awful.
manager hired me and after two days refused to take me for the job
I applied for the job position in the company Shaws. I received the phone call from the manager and came to the interview. They did the drug test and I passed it. After that the manager told me that I was hired and informed me to buy some black shoes. She promised to call me and provide the instructions, but no one contacted me. I called her and she told me that she couldn’t hire me and hung up. WTF? I wonder if someone else has the similar situation, please post comments.
cannot reach goods!
I sometimes shop at Shaw's Supermarket in Chestnut Hill, MA. Some of the products I want to buy are on the top or bottom shelf. I am 70 year old and cannot bend down to read the bottom shelf - like tomato sauce, and I do not want to go on my knees because it is hard for me to get up. Sometimes I need a particular soda and it is on the top shelf. No way can I buy the amount I need because I cannot reach the bottles because the shelf is too high. I end up going to other supermarkets where I can reach the items I want. Please come up with a more friendly set up. I notice the new cvs stores have redesigned their shelves. Maybe Shaw's should look into it.
poor treatment to customers
I was in the wareham, MA Rte, 6 store 6/13/08. I had three young children with me. As I was looking to cash out to see what was available I noticed one that cashier had some items on the belt and 1 person being processed. Thinking the items on the belt was that persons I went in that line. 2 young little boys where standing just prior to the entrance. I didn't think too much about it. Then I noticed a cart with a pocketbook and more items in it in front of me. I waited and waited and waited until the person in front of that carriage cashed out. Leaving the unattended cart. Still that person never came back to her cart. I had roughly 6-8 items in my cart. Thinking I'll just pass them over to the cashier since that person with the items on the belt wasn't back yet and the person in front has already left. The cashier started to automatically ring up the missing persons items. I said that its not mine it's someone else's. If she could take my items since that person wasn't back and its been a good 5 min. s The cashier stated Oh that's OK because it happens all the time! So I got upset. Now I understand their policy. I just need to place my items on the belt and do other things because I don't care if I hold other people UP? The women came back after I was arguing with the cashier about this practice. The woman stated one of her kids ran off. She had a total of 5 kids. She left two young boys 5, 6? to watch her items and took the older ones with her to go look for her other child. What if someone came an took the two young boys or her pocketbook? No one thought anything wrong with that! Yes and I had a total of 3 kids. 3, 5 and 5 plus I'm a grandmother with disability. So Now the manager (that's what he said he was) came over and first he gives me a dirty look and when I tell him I'm upset with the cashier and tries to explain. He continues to give me dirty look, turns his back on me and bad mouth me for speaking UP. At that point I said I had enough and left my 6-8 items and took my 3 grandchildren and went to another store! That cashier and manager needs to know how to handle a situation like that in the future! Take the people that are there first! Give them respect.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Let me preempt this by saying, in 52 years I have never once contacted a customer service department to complain.
I am a loyal ($200.00 plus a week) shopper at the Shaw's store# 3510. it is out of convenience only as I could easily walk to it if needed. I could still be a any local/regional chain within about 10 minutes, yet I still go to the Shaw's on DW Highway in Nashua NH.
Typically I go in and come out with no complaints.
the past two visits have not been so, causing me to have to say something to the cashier as well as manager, and another customer whom I was actually surprised with the amount of restraint I had.
on 11/20 I watched the Cashier ring up about $300.00 worth of foodstuff. it was a little higher than my normal bill since I was picking up some items for Thanksgiving with my family. now this day I purchased two items I typically don't purchase, two 12 packs of soda and 12 dozen eggs... I typically get eggs from a friend of mine that has chickens but because my mother was making this special cake for my sister and brother in-law she needed the the two dozen and my friend just didn't have enough. I mention the eggs because both the eggs and the soda were dropped by the cashier from about a foot off the conveyor. At this time I actually asked if he would be a little more careful, to which he just rolled his eyes in assonance. (the best part of the mask wearing is the focus you put on peoples eyes instead of the rest of their features, it makes it very easy to tell in the thank you you just received was genuine or really meant go pound sand)
As you can imagine the eye roll annoyed me ever more than throwing my groceries all over the place. I didnt spend 20 years in the Army to have some kid act like this. (I blame the parents)
I paid my bill and was about to leave when, I heard a snide "You shouldn't be drinking soda anyway" my reply "was your lucky I don't talk to the manager and make you go get replacements".
Now in steps the customer behind me and as not to cause a spectacle I departed said my peace to the manager and left.
long story short I needed new eggs (half were broken) and my 86 y/o father got a diet sprite shower Thanksgiving day.
I chalk it up bad day shopping everyone has one.
before I go on I have mentioned to the Manager on duty several time about staffing. Now i am this first to admit I do not manage a Shaw's nor any other grocery chain, I have walked into other stores and don't see what I see at store 3510. in fact when I had to replace the eggs for my mother I walked into a Market Basket and saw eight standard lanes open along with two express lanes with one person ringing and one bagging at each lane. Not five standard lanes and five self checkout lanes with one or two people (usually the one is either the manager or head cashier)
which brings me to todays complaint. Once again I was ringing up my $200.00 worth of foodstuff and sundries as normal at store 3510 there were a half a dozen cashiers a one or two people running back and forth "Bagging" Nestor my cashier whom I am 99% sure was the same kid from the week before Says, "what are you too good to bag your groceries"
well if you have ever seen a dog chase its own tail that's what my head was doing, Now normally I help... albeit it is a pet peeve of mine, but when Nestor said that I almost lost it. I mean the women in front of me got her groceries bagged why can't mine? Where is the self bagging discount of my bill? And most importantly why is a 20 something y/o cashier speaking to me like this? I mean technically these items aren't even mine yet as I haven't paid for them.
I had half a mind to just walk out, and let Nestor and the Manager on Duty take care of putting everything back. the only reason didn't is
A. I would 50 plus hours a week and didn't know when I could get back to the store.
B. My daughters were expecting Homemade Mac and Cheese
C. Chances are Nestor wouldn't have put the groceries back, they would have used one on the people bagging which would have interrupted other customers.
Plus I wasn't sure what protocols would needed to be followed with COVID, I mean please tell me that if I did just leave you can't just put the food back.
on a foot note I do have some retail experience and actually run a service department for a high tech company so I know how people can be, but if one of my employees ever spoke to a customer that way they would get one written warning, the second time they would be gone. I say this know how hard it is to find people to work these days.
I do apologize for the long windedness of this rant, but this was the last straw for me with store 3510. If Nestor was even slightly polite or professional you wouldn't be receiving this email .
I do expect I reply on these regard within 48 hours
bakery fudge, it would be nice if your fudge tasted like fudge or stop selling it, thankz
I am a customer of Shaw's in Sanford. I tried to returns my bottles and cans and then do my shopping this evening only to find the bottle redemption closed while the store is still open. I did my shopping at Hannaford instead.
u dont care about customers shaws supermarket customer service rep fought w/homemaker over returns urpolicy 100%guaranteed or urmoney back she refused 2let me return wrong tortillashells werent low carb like i told aide 2buy&bad 6layer dip taste awful bland no taste mansfield MA
I was cooking a signature Pizza Supreme rising crust, according to the directions directly on the center rack. When I went to check it, the center of the pizza had fallen through the rack and making a mess in the oven. I shop at Shaw's frequently and this is the first time I've had a problem.

I cashed a check for 86 dollars and was only handed back 35. I didn't notice until I got home and immediately went back and told the stores manager. I was told that once I left the store there was nothing that they could do. I asked them to count the draw and they told me they couldn't do that
I purchased the signature farms Cafe bowl from the Shaw's location in Shrewsbury and there was a hard piece that almost looks like a bone in my salad I took a picture of the object
I was in Shaw's 1108 State Rd, S.Yarmouth MA 02664 on Dec 29, 2016 at 6:26pm and the stock employees were swearing using the F word among other words, the other employees were talking totally ignored me while I was in line. I am terribly disgusted. I shop there everyday but I will probably go to Stop n Shop now.
The Shaw's on main st Nashua NH sucks
I went in there today and spent 134 dollars and had to bag my own groceries while 4 employees one being the manager stands down two registers talking to the cashier about when they all get out
I now have to shop two stores Shaws and Hannafords but will switch to just Hannafords if problem persist. The Shaws in Augusta, Me has eliminated Post raisin bran from the store along with Keebler Vanilla fingers . I know this sounds petty but the list of out of stock or eliminated items continue to grow.
They are a bunch of thieves
Shaw’s supermarket is guilty of legal thievery in that of every price error, 95% of the errors are in the favour of Shaw’s. Most recently I was in the Tilton NH store and I had purchased a $2.49 fruit cake and the item was charged at $4.99. When I called to advise them the manager at the other end was snidely. Bad enough they stole money from me, I had to listen to the manager be snidely to me.
In the past, while shopping at the Plaistow NH store, I had found a charge identified as “Geno in pursuit” in the amount of $26.00. I was outraged to the point that I called the Plaistow NH store only to have the managed be evasive concerning what the charge was. I was told that he only way I could get a refund was to come into the store. I spent the time and money to go there and was simply told that I would receive a refund. Further, they would not say what the charge was about.
Upon a chat with an employee, I found out hat it was a hacker that entered the system and there were many charges to customers. At what point will we have punitive action against these thieves? I guess until that point we should just keep out of the store.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Contract problems of them changing 2 months into a 2-year contract, jacking the monthly payment by $25.00, after being told the price quoted was to be in place for 2 years.
Breach of contract for service paid for.
The pay raises at the Bath, ME store are ridiculous. I shop their everyday and they are great especially Emily. They need to be paid more or you will lose your staff. Do something about this please!
Attempted to purchase cards today and the two managers refused to sell to me because "I was being scammed!" Regardless of my assurance, that the purchase was for my personal use (bills), they said I was lying!
I'm a daily shopper at this store, but will take my business to Hannaford.

Shaw's may suck sometimes, but this really just sounds like a simple mistake that you would go to the service desk for and get a refund for. Not spend all day ### about online.
The Shaws in Riverside Rhode Island is no different, the store is rarely adequately stocked for sales and when they are it's not unusual for the prices not to have been adjusted in the computers for checkout. My biggest complaint, aside of snotty snarky management, is that the produce they sell is garbage. I don't know who picks this stuff, but I'm SERIOUSLY TIRED of getting home, ready to cook and finding that the vegetables I've bought and paid premium prices for, are rotted; very often being hand-packaged so that the decay is hidden from view. If there was a competitor that was at all closeby, I wouldn't be shopping at Shaws. I pray regularly that they go out of business and get replaced by Seabras or S&S.
The Shaws in Bangor Maine keeps charging me twice for single items. If they think I'm not watching them while they scan my groceries. Then I get home to find that I've either been charged twice for a $1.49 can of something or up to $5+ for a package of chicken depending on how many groceries I buy. At first I thought it was just human error but this is happening so often with different clerks at Shaws that I'm getting very suspicious. I feel like they are stealing money from me and it's seriously adding up over a years time. I don't drive and need to take the city bus out to Shaws in Bangor and then take a taxi back or take the bus back. I usually don't march all the way back over there for my money back because it's my word against theirs. It's happening so often that I'm seriously starting to think that the Shaw's Supermarket in Bangor Maine (on Main St.) is stealing my money. Also their meat is seriously over priced. I usually go to Shaw's because it's closer to were I live (still sort of far away) but now I'm thinking it's best that I go out of my way to find some other place to shop. If they are going to steal my money to make a profit then they will lose a LOT more money from me over time when I take my wallet elsewhere. I shouldn't have to watch the cashier ring up every individual item, nor should I have to sit someplace and go over the receipt before I feel safe to leave the store. Even though sometimes it's only a small amount of money they are stealing it does add up and I'm certainly not rich. Also it just breaks trust and confidence. It makes the Shaws in Bangor seem so desperate that they need to steal money with their sticky fingers that perhaps they can't afford to run that store. Maybe they should close and/or file bankruptcy. I just road a long bus ride to get home and make lunch and was going to throw my receipt away and thought to myself "Hmmmm they've stolen from me before and wonder if it's happened again" and sure enough when I looked at my receipt I was charged twice for a can of gravy that was almost $2 a can. And it wasn't like they voided the 2nd ring up. So I paid almost $4 for 1 can. A long time ago I thought it was a mistake but this happens so often that I believe they are taking my money on purpose. Also it makes me feel stupid that they look at me at the counter and see me as a chump that they don't respect. Well, I've got news for them. If they want to steal money from me and make short term gains WELL I'm going to take my money somewhere else and they will lose a lot more of my money in the long run. You'd think the mafia is running that store or something. Anyway, sorry for the LONG rant but I'm upset. I need to march across the city in the rain to make a complaint to them again. If you live in the BANGOR MAINE area please make sure to watch the cashiers closely and to check your receipts because they are doing this far too often to me. It's happened to me at other stores but not nearly as much as at Shaw's. I might go to the BBB or State of Maine Attorney Generals office to file a report. As well as continue to warn others online. Again, if you live in Bangor ME keep an eye on the cashiers are Shaws.
Always making mistakes - always a bad attitude towards customers.
