I need refund as soon as possible.
I just purchased a voucher from servproofbellingham.com for carpet cleaning. But when I booked the appointment they said they are not accepting voucher. Then I sent an email to get a refund and I got auto response that my mail reached and they will get back to me in 2 days and there is no single mail from them till now eventhough I sent lot of mails again and again. I need refund as soon as possible.

ServPro solicited water damage remediation work in my home. Salesman induced my wife to sign contract without disclosing any price, any unit prices, any labor rates - simply mandated that we pay whatever was billed. Work was substandard, rude personnel, carpets were left dirty, and billing was arbitrary.
We have had so many problems with ServPro so I started a facebook page with pictures and documentation. Please feel free to check it out, share, and post your experience on this page as well. I don't want anyone else to have to go through what my family is still going through because of them.

Springdale/Fayetteville, Arkansas Servpro was the WORST experience I have had on the remediation and restoration ever! They represent themselves as restoration experts. My cat could have done better job! They are sloppy and their work is beyond substandard. I spent 2 months repeatedly showing them the poor work they had done and additional damage they caused hauling their equipment in and out of my house. Despite walking the manager through my house showing him the poor workmanship three different times, he brought his guys out and asked me what it was I wanted redone. If you ask me what I need and I walk you through my house, why wouldn't you take notes or take photos yourself? I finally put sticky notes on all the areas of my house that needed to be redone just so I wouldn't have to repeat myself. That didn't work. You have to talk to these guys in crayon! After the third time he I walked him through, I took the time myself to take photos of everything and texted him photos of the work they did wrong with specific instructions. Seriously? They had to come back and back and back to redothe work. How does a business make a profit margin working like that? They make in on the front end charging $30 a day for each drying machine for 6 days x 17 machines each of which costs them $200 to purchase new! They were polite and
Yes ma'am'd me to death. Their work just was visibly poor! Even non professionals can go to a paint story and match trim color, right? Not the geniuses at Servpro Fayetteville/Springdale, AR! I think a first semesnter high school shop student could have done a better job. I remained calm until one of the last times they came out and the guy actually asked me what I wanted to do with a broken tile they didn't replace! Really? Well, I had to explain to him that the right thing to do would be to replace it with one of the extra tiles I had in my garage. He actually then said that he could replace the door frame around my front door but it wouldn't look the same! He was right. I had to have him come out and redo that. Caulking seams before you paint a door frame seems like less than brain surgery to me but apparently at Servpro in Fayetteville/Springdale, "Whatever we can get away with" is their true intent. I think they thought they would wear me down and I'd take whatever they gave me. Who wants to work with people like that? It has been exhausting and that is why I am going to the trouble to put this out to others. My advice to anyone consideringusing Servpro in Fayetteville, Arkansas is DON'T DO IT. Do not trust their promise in their literature that they will "Make it like it never happened." Had I known then what I know now, I would have never hired them and certainly would not have had them td the repairs afer the remediation. I have oriental carpets which they ran a steam cleaner over and called that clean. I finally had to have professional carpet cleaners to the work. Now, they have sent me a confusing bill and have not even finalized the work! Bad business to put your trust in. Look at alternatives if you have a flood or other home crisis. Their approach each time I pointed out the shoddy work was to say, "We aren't done yet." What I realized is that I had to keep a close eye on everything, document the shoddy work and continue to have them back to redo the work. It was exhausting and I truly believe that since I am a woman, they thought I didn't know enough about remodeling to catch the nonsense. I am grateful to my insurance adjuster for his support and advice to not pay them until the work was done to my satisfacton. Buyer beware when enlisting Servpro in Fayetteville, AR is my best advice. deceptive billing practices
Company placed faulty dehumidifiers in basement after water backup to dry basement. Humidifier was faulty, moisture and mold growth continued. Consumer cleaned the basement of water damaged items and called co to notify them of faulty equipment placed in home. Co removed and replaced faulty equipment. Customer invoiced for 2500.00 for rental of faulty equipment which was never stated in a written estimate. When I complained that I paid for an agreed upon price for mold prevention, they separat ed billing invoices and after I had already paid in full at agreed price, ServPro generated another invoice (not disclosed) for the placement of the faulty equipment. Threatening to place a lien. Will be complaining to Attorney General. Beware get a written estimate of all work performed by this company. They have deceptive practices and their invoicing for work performed is not clarified nor honest.

HORRIBLE company... We had a fire in our basement. They sent this girl out... walks in WITH the insurance adjuster. Standing in the basement with my melted dryer and burnt clothes, telling me she doesn't smell fire or smoke...REALLY? Rude, condescending, Called the next morning, told them NOT to send her back...they defended HER...WOW...not THAT is great customer service. They send two guys out to remove the dryer...even they said how bad the smell was. But her and her insurance buddy decided THEY couldn't smell anything. We will only clean the laundry room... what about all the carpet and ceiling tiles and the clothes and bedding that smell so horriible? Their company then called me and said that we weren't stuck with them...we could call another company... BYE..SEE YA.. another great customer service tactic...We called a new company, came right out, put fans and ionizers in place to start getting rid of the smell, coming back in the morning to start cleaning EVERYTHING, and, looked at the "fan" Serve Pro left, outdated, not energy efficient, and the filters are not even in correctly... what a joke. ... Do NOT go near these people... the work for the insurance company, NOT for you..
We had four inches of water in our basement - contract with ServPro said 3 days...seven days later our insurance company called and told them to pull their fans and humidifiers out. Told us there would be daily check ins but we had to call to find out what was going on but different service people came each day with different asessment of what room was dry - on Sunday said the office was still wet and the main family room was dry. Next day the main family room was supposedly dry but the office was still wet ?! They drilled 8 - 2 inch holes in the base of a wood vanity with no repair/replacement of the damage. Sent letter outlining issues we experienced and the overcharging us for the service - thousands of dollars! Never received response to my communications. We settled with our insurance company and we tried to work with ServPro to get the charges negotiated down per our insurance company's request but to no avail. Instead of communicating with us - got a phone call on a Friday afternoon from a collection agency telling us they were putting a lien on our home for the amount owed plus an additional $1500 in fees if we didn't pay that day and charging us with insurance fraud since we settled with the insurance company. A real mess - no communication except through collection agency and threats. Something needs to be done with this company. NEVER USE THEM NO MATTER WHAT...my insurance company has said that they gouge prices just because I have insurance and the job is done poorly and damage is done to my property with no plans to correct what was done.

We have just finished with serpro of courdelane. They never provided us with a invoice or itemized list of work to be done or complete. Put a lien on our home for 16k and when I paid that just to be done with the entire situation. They said we owed another 10,500. They are basically blackmailing frauds. We are considering suing.

We had servpro in Tupelo work on out house because it was damaged by tornado. We signed a contract and then the headaches began. The crews that were working on different aspects but the actions were out of order. The had take it down to the studs. The roof was messed up and they sat some of appliances like microwave in an area where the roof still leaked. They started putting up insulation in a room where the roof still leaked. I was over there everyday to feed my outdoor cats. I would text the person by name of Benjie if I saw something I didn't think was right. He called me one morning asking me why I complained so much. I told him I see stuff wrong and he said I never say anything nice. I was so angry. They created meds inside and outside. Their excuse is its a construction sitr. I told no it was our home. We paid out final payment. I have asked for a invoice listing the work done and amount spent. I got run around and today I returned to their office manager Dana and got so angry with the bull coming out. I used words I don't normally because she kept saying I didn't know how things are done. I asked about a large roll of carpet pad that wasn't used. She said we would have gotten a credit for it. I asked how we would know since they didn't send a final receipt with the cost of the items. We don't even know if our roof has a warranty. The workers had no respect for our stuff. Our carpet which they installed looks like carp because they installed early and didn't put anything down to protect. I finally ask ed them if they couldn't put the excess carpet over it. We had some new furniture in the house and we walked and found trash on the furniture. We would go through the house when they would leave throwing out soda cans and cups and cigarettes buts. We had to pick up carp out of the yard and fill in ruts in our yard. Now we just want an detailed invoice to show if we have warranty. They treated our home and yard badly. We are still finding area where we see primer, and door frames missing metal plates. In my opinion they didn't care and took the money. Now concerned about what else they missed. Very upset.
Was a class action lawsuit ever filed against ServPro or is there one now that people can still be included in? Although they are franchise's it dosen't seem that ANY of them are on the up & up ANYWHERE across the entire country. Having the same type of complaints coming out of literally EVERY state. With many, many having been referred to ServPro by their Insurance Company. Hmmmm? Whats wrong with this picture? Our story is basicly the same as the others. Insurance claim for water damage, ServPro sent in by Insurance company, ServPro's total & blatant disregard for our belongings, two pair of custom made riding boots gone, careless, negligent & random packing of boxes resulting in multiple broken items, broken & damaged furniture, a plastic crate with no lid attached but compleatly wrapped in clear plastic wrap and placed into storage by ServPro with standing water in the bottom of the crate. Needless to say whatever was in that crate has decayed beyond the point of recognition and is compleatly covered in mold. We were not given the combination to the lock on the storage container our belongings were moved into by ServPro and after requesting access it took two weeks of being given multipul combinations to "try" all of them incorrect, they went so far as to cut the first lock off, replace it with a new one and provide me with yet another incorrect combination. I finally demanded the lock be removed and not replaced, they complied but left the latch so mangled and bent that it still presented a challange to get open. Once opened, shocked again at the manor in which the container was piled and stacked. I could go on & on but no use in that. Yes, I'd like to recover the cost of the broken items, furniture & boots but more importantly I would like to see EVERY ServPro slapped down, held accountable & ultimately shut down. The Insurance companys who endorce, promote and list them as a Company of Choice need to be held accountable for basicly setting this company up to do controlled home invasions with no consequences. With as many like complaints NATION WIDE, why are they in business, why are they being allowed to and been allowed to take such bad advantage of so many people for so many years, why have they been & are still being allowed to commit these crimes across the country every single day? I am more than willing to do whatever I can to help stop them, I just dont know what or where to begin. Open to any ideas, suggestions, knowhow ect. Well it sure isn’t going to be by trying to low ball your structure ! Well not if the bank still owns it ! No there gunna make there money off you! How ?by getting you to higher the low life scum of survpro to come and take the last bits of your life away from you . And try to hold them for ransom if you don’t pay there over budget bill. I’m a former Manager of SERVPRO Of South Saratoga for 6 years this franchise is the most shady franchise of them all not only do that pad the invoices/ estimate at completion of jobs to squeeze ever penny they can rather it is right or wrong most of the time wrong .They are under staffed and hire people’s off the street and pay them under the table not even pay them minimum wage and treat them like [censored]. Half of their techs couldn’t pass a drug test If giving on the spot.Not only do the tech steal medication out of customers medicine cabinet and out of bed room some of them double back to homes they done work in and entry thru unlocked doors that the know customers is on vacation and trust them to do services.Even the guys that they hire off of the street steal from customers home, credit cards, children’s pig banks, customers liquor and even eat customers food .Most of the guys that they hire off the street can not past a back ground check or a drug test and a few had outstanding warrants while working for SERVPRO Of Southern Saratoga But the owner didn’t care as long as he got a check from the insurance companies.There was many customers complains for some of these action that i as a manager i cleaned up because of the relationship i had with the customers and the respect..I spoke about this matter to the team and it was swiped under the rugs .Some customers was putted off by owner hoping the matters at hand will go away but it was not right and i kept my mouth shut afraid of losing my job because i got a family to feed .But i not longer work for this shady [censored] company.And no i wasn’t fire i quite because this company treated it employers like [censored] .When i first started work for this company i moved up quick to management because I’m a hard and loyal worker and we ha d a staff 12 good hard working soldiers and we was family but of course the owner [censored]ted on everyone because of his greed and shady ness and now there is on 5 techs left and all but one is new hire and 2 of them is thinking about leaving as i type this.

Because of water damage from Hurricane Irene we called SERVPRO for service, Their Marketing Representative, John David Scozzaro, gave us a quote of $4, 000. They were suppose to come early afternoon to provide the service, they didn't show up until 9:00PM. And didn't do all they said they would do. However, they billed our insurance compy $7, 835.24. Almost double what they quoted, for less work. I call their company to find out why on 9/3/2011 and spoke to an Edith Castleberry, she said she would get back to me. I called again on 9/6/2011 because I had not heard from her. They told me she was away fro her desk, and she would get back to me, which she didn't. I called again on 9/7/2011 to no prevail, I am still waiting to hear from her. It appears this company is taking advantage of Hurricane victums and insurance companies. So please beware if you plan on using SERVPRO

I had a similar complaint. Water damage from power outage. Two separate bills for water mitigation and mold mitigation. No written estimates. I called within three days as told to get a confirmed price. I paid 50% upfront and 50% upon completion based on firm negotiated price. Weeks later I receive another invoice that was never disclosed for another 2500.00 plus for water mitigation services that were never performed. They placed two dehumidifiers in the basement; unmonitored. I checked to see the progress and noticed that the equipment was not working. I called on Monday to tell them the dehumidifiers were not working. They still billed me for the 3 days of inoperability and added another two days for equipment at a cost of 2500.00 for equipment that was faulty. I received a letter after I complained that said the original invoice (never saw) was 3360.40, which included rental of drying equipment (ineffective) then discounted to 2507.17 (because I had to clean the basement myself after I discovered their equipment was doing nothing to help), then the invoice was lowered to 1420.84 and they admit that the dehumidifer wasn't working. My question is why I am being billed for work that was never performed, not performed properly, and invoices that were generated without a written notification. Does this company think that this is how work is really done when people are paying for it? I now received a letter stating that they will honor their discount of 1420.84 but are placing a lien on the home where services were rendered and that the discounted price is good only for a two week period. Talk about deceptive practices and consumer bullying. I will be notifying attorney general in state of Ohio about these deceptive practices. Do not trust these franchises. They are deceptive and they generate estimates based on square footage at a rate of 32 dollars per hour without telling the consumer. BEWARE!

It has been 1 year since SERVPRO took all of our personal belongings. We have attempted to contact SERVPRO on numerous occasions starting 2 weeks after SERVPRO took our stuff and for about 5 months after attempting to get our things back.
We have had the opportunity to thoroughly review the billing totaling $8726.96.00 which SERVPRO provided to us last week. (April 2010) We have some concerns as outlined below:
Line item 4: You have two TV/VCR combo's listed when in fact there was only one.
Line item 7: You have two VCR's listed when in fact we have only one.
Line item 57: This lists two child rocking chairs. Then, you are charging us again for the same two child rocking chairs on line item 78.
Line item 110: These are the multi-colored floor tiles in the play room. We paid $20.00 for these at Costco. You are charging us $123.42 to clean them.
Line item 9: You are charging for cleaning two desks when in fact you only took one desk.
Line item 16: You are charging us $150.00 to clean a TV purchased in 1993 and then $75.00 to clean another TV from the same room that was the same size. Why the price difference?
Line item 17: You have 3 DVD/VCR combo's listed when in fact we only owned one.
Line items 23, 82 and 87: You have listed as Bookcases. We do not own a single Bookcase.
Line item 88: The old yellow refrigerator. You never took this to be cleaned, yet you charged for cleaning it.
Line item 54: The microwave is mounted in the home over the range and was never removed or cleaned, yet you charged for cleaning it.
Line item 100: You never removed or cleaned this item yet you charged for cleaning it.
It appears to us that SERVPRO never intended for us to see this itemized list, as you refused to provide it to us until we went to the SERVPRO corporate office, and even then it wasn't until our meeting last week that you provided it to us. We still have not been provided with a list of items for our insurance company that you removed from our home that you considered irreparable and destroyed or disposed of.
With the exorbitant fees, repeat charges, and charges for items that are non-existent, it appears to us that SERVPRO'S actions are criminal by attempting to defraud or insurance company. This matter will be forwarded to the states Attorney Generals office, the local Prosecuting Attorneys office, The BBB, and the Federal Fair Trade Commission for them to determine weather or not criminal actions have indeed transpired in this case as well as others you have been or are currently involved with.

I have evidence
On 5/19/15, I had a sump pump failure in my basement and had water damage. I had contacted Servpro to come in and do the water extraction and the clean up. When I got the invoice from Servpro, they were charging $2, 497.36 for services that were not done. They had on the invoice that they did clean up and haul away, but they did not of this. What they did do is water extraction, put some contents on a table against a wall on a table and set up dryer fans and moved furniture to one side of the room. They wanted to remove the floor in the basement because they said there was water damage. I told them no and the rep was very rude and sternly said they would not be responsible for any damage under the floor and I had to sign a waiver. They put an unnecessary hole in my drywall. They left the fans there two extra days unnecessarily and charged for them, even after I called Servepro twice telling them to pick up their fans, and using unnecessary electricity. When I contacted them as to the work they said they did, but didn't do, they said the insurance company approved the invoice. I just want to let Travelers know how Servpro pads their bills for work that wasn't completed. They said they cleaned afterward - no cleaning was done. My husband and I had to take care of the cleaning. They said they removed and hauled away debris - they bagged it and left it for us to remove. They said they supplied a dehumidifier - did not, just fans. I mainly want to let our insurance know - do not ever use Servpro. I have read many, many complaints on the web about others that used Servepro. THEY ARE A VERY DISHONEST COMPANY.
Serve Pro - From Rochelle, Illinois This company takes full advantage of people that have had a loss. They charged us through the roof because they know its all through insurance. They add hours of dry time, put equipment in the house and let it sit while we were charged, they took belongings that were ours, I would never recommend this company to anyone. They know how to work the system and take full advantage of people. They are heartless and dishonest. Please use another company. They are heartless and dishonest. I truly believe in fair pricing and paying my bills but this company price gouged us to the fullest extent.

I am trying to spread the word! It Sounds like there are victims of Servpro galore - ! How can this company still operate? I want to ensure nobody has to go through the same experience we had. I am not trying to gain from my bad experience! The Servpro franchise we used completely ruined all of my furniture and antiques by storing them in OUR garage (although we paid for a facility) and actually used my great-grandmother's antique dining room table as a workbench. How sad. They didn't even apologize - they even wanted money for work they did not perform - BEWARE - ! We gave them over $60, 000! They sent a fraudulent claim to my insurance company! I'm still upset with them after 3 years because I am still trying to recoup for the losses they caused. How awful. Any insurance company that recommends them should be penalized by the commissioner of insurance as well. Are they in cahoots with insurance companies? We had the most awful experience with SERVPRO! They completely overcharged and sent fraudulant claims to my insurance company. I feel that this franchise trains their employees to treat customers this way and they are experienced fraud artists. I am trying to find people who would be willing to file a class action lawsuit against this company. I am pursuing this at this time. The ServPro that we used, in Illinois, were the most unprofessional bunch of people that I have ever met. They attempted to do all of the work on their own without hiring qualified contractors. Needless to say, it looks terrible. They charged my insurance complany for work that they never even did!
I would never recommend letting these people into your home!

We hired ServPro of Milwaukee in June 2010 after the death of my father-in-law. We were told that it would only take 4-6 weeks to clean the bio-hazard left by his body and to remove all furniture and appliances. Six months later, we had to demand they get off the property. Early on, I was checking through his papers to find he had home owner's insurance in effect at the time of his death and that a settlement would be made to help pay for the cost of clean up. After I had the paper work in motion, ServPro called and suggested I check into it. They thought we should be grateful for coming up with the idea when I already filled out paper word and was working with an adjuster! We got the settlement check and gave the go ahead to work with in the moneys being paid out. They didn't come back to the house for 3 weeks. In the mean time, comtractors were coming by to solicit business and the crew gave our home phone number to these complete strangers! WRONG THING TO DO!
We gave explicit instructions of what items to keep from the house and put in the detached garage for an estate sale. A vewry expensive embrodery sewing machine, table and bench top power tool are missing. Worth approximately $1500/00. All other items were accounted for. This is a very short version of a long story. There were many more problems we had and we willnever recommend them to anyone! I am following this with a detailed complaint to the BBB.

I sent in my computer to be repaired at servpro in israel. first of all, not all the branches that are on their website actually exist. then, i sent my eeepc netbook in and got it back more than a month later with the exact same problem. i then sent it back to them, and have not been able to get straight answers from them for a month and a half. each time i call, i need to have the exact same conversation, explaining why, even tho my netbook is no longer under warrantee, it was when i initially sent it in. each time, the conversation ends with someone saying they need to speak to a supervisor and get back to me, and each time, no one ever calls back (of course, each time i call, there's no way to speak directly to the supervisor)

If you want to get a franchise with these people, beware. This is a hard business in a highly competitive market in metro markets. They do not tell everything and there are about 1500 other Servpro s and they seem to compete with each other.
I am trying to spread the word! It Sounds like there are victims of Servpro galore - ! How can this company still operate? I want to ensure nobody has to go through the same experience we had. I am not trying to gain from my bad experience! The Servpro franchise we used completely ruined all of my furniture and antiques by storing them in OUR garage (although we paid for a facility) and actually used my great-grandmother's antique dining room table as a workbench. How sad. They didn't even apologize - they even wanted money for work they did not perform - BEWARE - ! We gave them over $60, 000! They sent a fraudulent claim to my insurance company! I'm still upset with them after 3 years because I am still trying to recoup for the losses they caused. How awful. Any insurance company that recommends them should be penalized by the commissioner of insurance as well. Are they in cahoots with insurance companies? Servpro was hired by my apartment complex to clean the debris left in the garages from the flooding. The company cleaned the garages in my building on a day it was raining/snowing. To prevent the gas generator used to power wash the garages from getting "ruined", the company put the gas generator inside the building instead of outside. This caused all the apartments in my building to have high carbon monoxide levels. The fire department, police, and EMS arrived and evacuated all of the us from the building. We had to stay outside for several hours until the carbon monoxide levels went down. Several people had to be taken to the hospital! Such carelessness and ignorance from this company to say the least!

This company is just terrible please do not waste your money! They do take advantage of people in a bad situation. I had a small fire at my house, they showed up, uncalled and before I knew what was happening they had called my insurance company and made a deal with them(has to be a kick back somewhere) They told me how wonderful they were and how I could relax, well that was just the beginning of my nightmare! Told me they would have my stuff out in 2 days, it took 2 weeks, they never showed up when they said, when they did show up all the employees talked about was how they hated working there. At the start of this they told me all about the rules of how they worked and what had to be done, they did NONE of it. Finally at the end of the two weeks I had to go back to work, they told be to just leave my key and they would finish(first no no). After they got all my stuff out they said my clothes were first to be done, ok, after 2 more weeks I called looking for my clothes, we will bring them right over, so they did, all in plastic dry cleaner bags, smelling worse than when they left, they had never been cleaned just bagged like they had. Over the next few months they would bring me stuff all right but most of it was not mine, it belonged to other people I would send it back and they would bring it back to me again! I never got all my stuff back! When I called the man who owns the Servpro he was so RUDE and told me since I did not pay them to unbox my stuff it was just tough! They stole all my great-grand-mothers linens. Antique dishes, old money you name it. Please do not use these people!
terrible water damage company
Servpro did a terrible job and are refusing to stand by their work. I had a lot of water damage due to a leaking shower pan and they were contacted to fix it. It was a large job as my bedroom carpet, walls, shower had to be completely redone. They lost my vanity, faucets, sink etc. When finished there was a leak in the shower and water was not draining very well. I had to write a letter and they send someone to fix the leak but said the water was normal in the shower. Now I have a leak again in the same place. The plummer said it is because the shower floor was not pitched correctly according to code! The water has gone thru the tiles and grout and is leaking into the walls. I tried to contact them and was told that the warranty is only for one year! I tried calling corporate office but they are a franchise! The guy jeremy who manages this Servpro just yells at me when he is talking! I am going thru my Insurance company and they will sue them when everything is done but in the meantime I have to come up with another $1, 000 deductable! If they have all these complaints about their Franchises they need to do something about it! Contact McDonalds headquarters and they will! You can not use the McDonalds name if you do not meet up to their standards!

They came and gave us high hopes that everything is going to be ok, then put all these machines in and left and came back the next day a took a meter to the walls and said that they be back tomorrow that was a lot of water in the walls so this went on for three days the 3rd day the insurance said there is no need for them to have all of the equipment in two small rooms so they took them out and when we had to replace the kitchen floors their were water still there so they had to fix it before laiding the floor down. I read their ad on the internet and it said they remove water and deordorizer or diinfectant of mold but they did none. So that is my story please do not use this company at all.

Our water heater ruptured and dumped 80 gallons of water into our home. It happened at 11;30 PM on a Friday evening. the insurance recommended servpro as the first choice. We trusted them, but when derrick arrived he talked a good game and only finished half of it. He removed some base boards and drill holes in our wall, and place many fans and 2 dehumidifiers in our home and left. 4 days later he returned and retrievevthe equipment, but did not patch the holes or replace any of the base boards. my wife cakk after a week to find out when he would return to put our home back together. His reponse was we had to get a contractor to do this, but on his business card it ststes he would do this. I am telling everyone I know not to use Servpro. I have spoken with many other and when we tell them we use Servpro, their response is you made a big mistake, they are no good. We still do not have our home together yet, but have contacted a contractor to come do this work. We are very unhappy and will let the insurance company know not to recommend your company anymore

I am very sorry to hear about your misfortune, but I want to clarify a few things. First of all your accusation about keeping our equipment inside to stop it from getting wet is a misrepresentation. At of Servpro of Piscataway safety is our number one rule. You can see that for your self on the both the Osha web-site and the Better Bussiness Bureau site. Also there was 6 incidents in 2 years where the fire department was called out due to carbon monoxide detectors in your complex. This is a matter of public record. The fire department, public safety or any other department never issued us a fine. Now please do not think that i am trying to down play your concerns. But all I ask you to do is revew the facts. When the company first arrived in my home back in December 2010, I wanted to feel very safe and secure that they were, in fact, doing their job.
At first, they were kind and seemed concerned about my issues.
But, then after about a week or so, the problems slowly began.
I will list them in order for your ease in reading:
1. My husband had some concerns that there was work done that didn't need to be done. My husband, being a former general contractor, had some valid concerns. When he questioned Aaron West, the older son of the franchise owners, Aaron repeated that we had nothing to worry about, because the insurance company was covering all the costs. This made us a bit weary, because we didn't want to take advantage of our insurance company, nor did we want them to do unnecessary work, just to hike up their fees.
2. The younger son, Cameron, saw that I was very upset about the entire process, particularly that it was during the holidays. He said that they could abandon the job if we wanted them to. This response was flippant and unprofessional.
3. After our kitchen was contained with plastic, we were told that we couldn't enter the containment due to a possible hazardous environment. However, we witnessed the workers at Servpro entering the containment without wearing their masks. They also contained our atrium, but never explained why this was needed, but to just trust them that they were doing this to protect us. My husband informed me that opening the window between the kitchen and the atrium compromised the previous containment of the kitchen as the remediation of the mold had not yet been completed. Essentially the atrium was being used as a conduit for venting contaminants to the outside through the open skylight in the ceiling of the atrium and therefore possibly contaminating the atrium. My husband’s concerns regarding this practice were never satisfied nor was there any attempt on their part to explain their reason for doing this.
4. When finally removing the plastic from the containment, they recklessly tore down the plastic, leaving a staple in our floor, which was not only unsafe, but someone entering our kitchen with only socks on, scraped the bottom of their foot. When I mentioned this to the Servpro employees, they acted as if it was nothing to be upset about and made the comment, ”you should not be in a construction zone without shoes on.” The construction zone was in an area of the kitchen--free from any hazards.
5. The containment was put up in a very sloppy, unprofessional manner, leaving staple marks on our ceiling and walls.
6. When the job was approximately 3/4 completed, Aaron West pressured me into filling out a survey. He caught me in a moment when I was in a hurry and when I asked if I had to fill it out then and there, he replied that I did. Realizing this afterward, I thought I should have refused to answer the survey, but complete it at my leisure. I would appreciate either filling out a new survey, or destroying the one I did fill out.
7. Finally, when the job was completed, I had a check from my insurance company to give to Robert West, once he delivered my sink, faucet and a couple of other items which belonged to us. When he came by, accompanied by his son Seth West, to collect his check, he carried on and on about how they were so kind to me and helping me out during this stressful time.
Then, to top it off, and I thought I heard enough of his diatribe, Robert said to me, "I know you are having problems in your marriage!" I was so completely astounded and taken aback, not to mention completely offended by his unprofessionalism and his remark, that I became defensive about my marriage, even though it was/is none of his business. He was extremely out of line, not to mention completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
8. I have e-mailed Karen West, notifying her of 2 checks I had for them from the insurance company. I also wanted them to return a couple of items which belonged to me. I have been completely ignored, never receiving responses to my e-mails.
Last week, when I phoned and spoke with their office receptionist, Jessica West, she snickered as she told me that they would get back to me this week. I assure you, that will not happen.

over charging and removal of unauthorized items
Our home caught fire on December 14, 2010. Two days later I contacted my insurance company. I am not sure at this time if they reccommended Servpro. I called Servpro and I set up an appoointment with their consultant John O'Sullivan along with my insurance adjuster for Sunday the 19th of December. I was never given a written estimate, only an oral one. The estimate was suppose to be between $2, 000.00-$4, 000.00 and the work was to be completed at the end of two weeks from the start date. I was often told that Servpro wanted to save me money and if you need anything just call. Well, phone calls were never returned, even when my adjuster called Servpro, he called me, to call them, to ask them to call him. I had anwhere from 8 to 14 people in my home to pick and pack for about a week and a half. With just 3 people my small home could have been moved within a week. To make sure that Servpro was going to make the so called big bucks, they took their time along with picking and chosing what they had wanted to clean. Most of our belongings were already packed. They took items to clean that were meant to be thrown away. They took our dishes, yet left me with 2 knives. and pots and pans. Took one pair of skis and left a pair behind. They were not suppose to take any of these items. I had to sign off just to retrieve our belongings from storage. I felt as if I was being strong armed. When we arrived to our storage unit and saw what was in there we decided to leave it all there. If you were to add up the cost of the storage unit, it did not even add up to $4, 000.00 in mechantdice. They took so many of our belongings that they were not authorized to. I am trying to fight this bill and other aspects of this situation. I am willing to pay for was first quoted to me. What they did to me and others as I read here is so unwarranted. The BBB when I called them are of no help what so ever. I have made a complaint to the Genral Attourney's office. I dont undeerstand how the insurance companies allow companies like Servpro to charge what they do...Anyone out there who can help me? To add I did ask Servpro to clean my Christams ornaments, they took 3 boxes, left about 5 or 6 more boxes behind and scattered/ They left my basement in worst shape then when they started,

lack of contract agreement
Serv Pro was hired by our insurance agency after our painter found that we had a soot problem. Once Serv Pro entered out home, the lady was ooh and aah about all of our damage and what they could do for us. How their "professional" cleaners could/would make everything better. She made photos and drew diagrams of our home. She got sorta upset once we told her that we "are using our painter since we have already agreed with him and hired him". Our floors had to be taken up. So, Serv Pro sends in their painters, who were off of work painting that day to remove the carpets and vinyls. What a mess they left too. I ruined an expensive vacuum cleaner trying to get up the debris. I had to purchase another vacuum. I have health problems. They would not move us out of the house so it could be done properly. We had to rent a storage unit to be placed at our home to store furniture and other items and what would not fit, was placed into one of our garages and basement. What a mess..., then, if that isn't enough, these "professional" cleaners are temporary employees from a temp agency that know nothing of what they're to be doing while they're here and with any attempts of what they're doing is all wrong. Serv Pro even went against what they were to do as well. We had to get tile people to come in and clean and re do our tiles, had to get a fireplace person to come in and clean and inspect, and I even had to re wire the smoke detectors and other things myself because all of a sudden, Serv Pro will not do that now. We even had to stay in a hotel for a couple days while our painter sprayed kilz on everything to cover the "cleaning" that was done by Serv Pro Professional Cleaners. Our painter even had to re clean what was suppose to already be cleaned. What a joke...

We have photos, video and they could care less. All they're concerned about is what they're to get paid. They don't care about what damages occurred by their employees, they don't care that we had to do a lot of the work ourselves and they still want to get paid for it...geeezzz, they could care less about dealing with anything they're suppose to. Funny too, when they finally came back to our house last week, since August 2010, the lady who started this stuff was trying to deny things and say other things but when my wife would confront her with email copies and other info, the lady shut up. Too, they didn't want to speak to me...I even told "the boss", if you can't do your job, then here is the door to leave...
There are a lot of other things, but to be a company who tells you that you don't have to worry and such, and then to be treated like we were treated, goes beyond being sorry. Oh, and we didn't get an evaluation form from the company because they do that to certain people...guess they don't hand them out to the people they've screwed over...
Hah! Now, the Serv Pro Vice President, the one that told us she, along with her husband that own the service, sent a threatning certified letter today demanding we pay them what is left or they're taking us to court. Hmmm, and she has added all kinds of stuff that I have no idea where it came from and is making false statements now. I guess she is forgetting what she said in our home over 2 months ago and what her inexperienced employee said and did while they were here. I guess she is forgetting that we keep all emails, phone call records and dates and that she doesn't even return phone calls and or emails most of the time. What a joke. She keeps saying we signed contracts for them to do the work. No one has signed a thing...show me the paper! If they want to take us to court, that is fine. It will cost them plus I have other professional people brought in as well that we had to hire to fix their work and even do their work!

They came to a house I was renting to pump out water in the basement. They said they couldn't pump out the water but they would leave a dehumidifier and a fan for the weekend and they would be back on Monday to pick it up. They didn't show up for three weeks. They took their equipment and left. The water went down by it self.
A fews weeks later they started harassing for a an outstanding invoice of over $2110.00.
They will not sent me an itemized bill and I never signed anything authorizing them to do any work.
We had water damage in our home they came out and extracted water from the rug and now they have some fans and dehumidifers running however i am on a concrete slab and now have a moldy mildewey smell but was assured by company owner Brandon it would go away. When i complained to my adjuster he said it would go away too I have talked to other water restoration companies who said the carpet and pad needed to be removed and pad thrown away...
