ServPro General manager/service manager fail to follow up on reconstruction

I was contacted by Servpro about late invoice payment which has now been paid in full. However, I would like to clarify that the delay in payment was due to my understanding that the job had not been fully completed.
At the time, I was awaiting follow-up from their Franchise/General Manager (as told by service team and office assistant) to coordinate the necessary repair work. Despite making multiple attempts to reach out, I received no response. As a result, I was left with no choice but to contract the remaining work independently.
I would like to take a moment to commend the two young men who initially assisted with the mitigation efforts. They were professional, efficient, and did an excellent job with the cleanup and drying process. Their work was greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, the lack of communication and follow-through from your General Manager was disappointing. As a leader, one would expect a higher standard of accountability and responsiveness. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident and not reflective of the overall service standards at ServPro.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that future clients will receive the level of service that your brand is known for.

ServPro Bad service.

Avoid serve pro If you can they'll lie to your face. They won't do the work. They're just a bad company. Unbelievable bad Devon Cornell is one of the worst person that Should not be working with the public They'll charge you for things they don't do. They'll tear you your house apart and then if you don't like what's going on. You say some wrong things just walk on you and laugh. They'll lose Your stuff they'll bring up your past away Parents and they know they're passed away I complain.

About the lost items that they lost. They gave me a $100 for all my curtains that they lost.

Recommendation: Avoid them insurance company wants them tell him no serve pro.Is dad

They were diligent an meticulous applyin the foggin disinfectant plus wipin down frequently touched surfaces. We appreciated the quick response an effective cleanin technique to help minimize business interruption. I would highly recommend usin them for any bioremediation services.

ServPro Servpro annapolis/severna park poor customer service

We had a smell in our garage, probably from dog urine, so we called SERVPRO of Annapolis/Severna Park. After trying to rid the smell with numerous products, I was confident they could do it. They came and sprayed an enzyme that was supposed to kill the smell, then pressure washed the concrete floor and set up fans to dry and dehumidify the garage. Ran the whole set-up over the weekend.

We came back on Monday and the garage still smelled of dog urine. I called them up and they sent out the same guy who did the estimate for service, Craig, to check it out. He agreed the smell was still present and used his black light to show positively, that there were still some spots indicating urine was still present on the lower walls of the garage. I told him I spent $750 to solve a smell problem "Like it never even happened" and he agreed to speak to his boss about what could be done. I was thinking they'd come out again and treat the places that were not treated the first time.

What I received was an email of the contract stating basically that they don't guarantee to solve the problem and that they will not be held liable. I called Craig at SERPRO of Annapolis/Severna Park again and left a message- never heard a word back from him or the company.

This is not a company I would do business with nor would I ever recommend them to anybody with an issue- go elsewhere. While I understand that there service is not guaranteed and that nothing is fool-proof, I expected them, for $750, to at least come out again and treat the places they missed the first time. Further, not having the decency to call and speak to me but instead emailing me a copy of the contract, is even more egregious. Nice customer service SERVPRO of Annapolis/Severna Park...

Recommendation: Go Somewhere Else

ServPro Servpro came out and replaced my hardwood floors and deck after a fire

Servpro came out and replaced my hardwood floors and deck after a fire. After a few months, the deck started to sway more than it should. I reached out to Servpro many times, but they kept promising to fix the issue and haven't done anything after 5+ months. I've continued to email and call weekly, and each time they promise to get back with me. Nikki, who works there, is great, but the overall business needs to be overhauled. I have months of correspondence, and my deck still isn't safe for company. It's unfortunate that I have to go online and share my story about the poor service they've provided.

ServPro I had a great experience with the Water Mitigation team from Servpro of South Durham & Orange County

I had a great experience with the Water Mitigation team from Servpro of South Durham & Orange County. They deserve 5 stars. The Production Manager, ***, was amazing. He came on time (while the plumber was still checking the problem), calmed me down, explained the process, and answered all my questions. He then called the team to come out ASAP to remove the carpet in the guestroom, vinyl in the laundry room, and assess the damage in the crawlspace under my house. *** and *** were very polite and courteous while preparing the rooms, garage, and crawlspace and setting up all the drying equipment. *** and the team were equally great during daily check-ins and equipment removal. They even hammered down the staples in the laundry room subfloor for me when asked, so that my cats wouldn't hurt themselves during the wait for reconstruction. I can't thank this highly professional team enough for helping me through this process.

However, I didn't have a great experience with the Restoration team. That's why I can only give the business as a whole 3 stars. The Restoration project managers (*** and ***) need to communicate better with their customers, each other, and other ServPro internal employees, and with suppliers/subcontractors (especially when the customer provides all important info upfront and in writing). I think I was more than patient before starting to complain about the issues I encountered with this process. Lack of communication and miscommunication were a major problem. The customer should not have to double-check everything or provide instructions directly to suppliers/subcontractors due to subpar communication from project managers. Especially when they have been given all the info repeatedly, and it's their job to oversee the project. The actual manual work for my house (materials, labor, etc.) wasn't terrible, but improvements in communication need to be addressed before I could honestly and in good conscience recommend the restoration side of the business.

ServPro Servpro of South Palm Beach

I called ServPro after the main line backed up into my condo since I’m on the first floor. I had CAT 3 food waste all over my kitchen, living room, and office.

They cleaned things up, cut drywall, and left machines in place for 5 days. On day 5, the technician told me that my insurance will only cover 5 days and any longer will be at my expense. Even though moisture was still detected I had them remove machines.

They ended up handing me a $7,800 bill. My insurance will only cover $3,000 of it and they are making me responsible for the $4,800.

I can’t believe they can take advantage of people when they are going through a crisis. I never approved for the bill to condo high above what my insurance will cover.

This is the worst franchise of ServPro I have ever dealt with. They are very dishonest.

Desired outcome: The amount above what my insurance will pay to be forgiven. The majority of the bill is for the price of unmanned equipment to be running for 5 days on my electric that I paid for.

ServPro Drying property

ServPro came and stated they could "dry" the property and left fans running for 7 days. They were supposed to come back every day to check and they left them there for a week. No one contacted home owner from ServPro. Property owner had to call company to request the equipment be removed and when they arrived the techs explained that it "didn't work" and that the equipment only works on drywall when they can remove baseboards. This is a pre-war home with solid plaster walls and the moisture in the walls was exactly the "same" as the day they left the equipment. Now ServPro is threatening a lien on the property if a $6K bill is not paid.

Desired outcome: ServPro failed to provide services to "dry" plaster home and therefore, no monies are due to company from property owner.

In writing, file a dispute against the bill arguing that the service provided was subpar and the company did not carry out daily supervision. Stress the fact that they have conceded the point that the equipment was unsuitable for plaster walls. If all else fails, seek legal assistance from a property lawyer to face the lien threat.

ServPro Not getting paid for a job I completed

I was hired as a subcontractor to do a job for Servpro after their previous contractor had made a mess of the property so I went in and worked with the homeowner and done a fantastic job homeowner was thrilled with the outcome of the property everyone was very happy with the work however Servpro never paid me for the remaining balance of over $5,000 and has made no effort in trying to pay me in the past year or so their excuse for doing this was they didn't receive their payment so they couldn't pay me until they received it and it's been over a year ago

Claimed loss: I have already paid my men to complete this project however I've had to wait and wait for my money I just want paid for the quality job that I done for this company

ServPro Cleanup and horrific work hiring people with obvious problems

From the very beginning we had a problem with Servpro the first individual to come out was named Clayton Clayton was great he told us all sorts of things and he told us to go to Lowe's and make an order form of everything we wanted they would install it things went according to plan and we were planning on having an installation on July 23rd well July week before July 23rd came and one of the many people after that showed up and said Clayton was quote unquote sick had done absolutely nothing regarding her case and they couldn't get to it and they didn't know when we never heard from them August goes by September goes by when did they show up October 23rd while they are there they show up at 9:40 10:00 leave at 11:30 for lunch take a lunch for about an hour and a half going to the upstairs bathroom sitting there for a good 15-20 minutes walk outside your door smoke a cigarette pack up to leave gone by 3:00 every single day oh and then there was the week they didn't show up because there was a quote unquote car accident so apparently if you work for this company you get so sick that you're unable to do your job in any way and can't follow through with anything you said you do or you got into car accidents seems like a lot of tragedy or a lot of excuses. The walls they were supposed to level not level the floor they were supposed to level not level the basement floor they were supposed to level not level the wall that they were supposed to hang drywall and fix not level crooked mess so not only was there personal professional behavior non-existent but they're actual work they did was pure crap run from this company and I mean run. And because I made a complaint Servpro is now threatening to sue me serve pro what I have to say to you is please do

ServPro Work done in my house

Just to start “WORST EXPERIENCE EVER”

I just can’t believe the level of profecionalism this low.

Servpro was working on my house due to a water insident that I claimed through insurance.

And this space is just way to small to mention everything they did wrong.

I already send them an email with a bunch of pictures from wich I never got a response, not even an apology.

They leave my hose with a leaking sink, a hole on the wall, they did some floor work and moved furniture all around the house and said they were going to clean an reorganize everything, that never happend, I had to do all that job mi self.

They broke a sink on one of te restrooms.

And put just a piece of wood to attach the countertop in the kitchen instead of using screws.

Worst of all, nobody is willing to take any responsibility.

I’m including pictures of the suposed finished job.

I’m so upset, frustrated and disappointed.

Hopefully I can find someone that can take any responsibility for all this mess

ServPro Driver

On 10/25/23, I was driving on U.S. 52 in South Point, OH, when your van driver began to change lanes right into me. I had to brake hard and swerve off of the road in order to avoid being hit. I understand that this can happen and was not upset at the time, just a bit startled and scared, but once I recovered I looked towards the van and saw him laughing. When we stopped at the next red light he was jn front of me and he stuck his head out of his window and waved at me, still laughing. It's really upsetting that your employees are so disrespectful as to almost cause an accident and then to find it amusing and to show no remorse. The van number started with a 2 (wrote it down but do not have it with me) and it was a younger man driving.

ServPro Basement storage/utility room cement floor cleaning

Reading, PA 19606 - I recently purchased a home and the basement storage/utility room cement floor (room size 22' X 22") was soot covered - I called for an estimate August 7, 2023, and was charged $350.00 for the estimate on August 14, 2023, and was advised that would be credited toward the total cost of the job if I went ahead with the service. I was shocked when the estimate came in at $1,419.07.

(Serice call $206.41 + Water extraction from hard surface $546.30 + Clean floor - heavy $463.74 + apply anti-microbial to floor $202.62)

I called to discuss the estimate and was told that the cost was high because of the extraction and cleaning equipment that would be used. Still thinking this was an extremely high cost they agreed to waive the $206.41 service call fee but was forced to pay for the anti-microbial spray that I did not want or request.

Since they already had $350.00 of my money and the fact that I wanted a clean floor I decided to schedule the service. I was called the morning of the service to see how I would be paying the $900+ fee before they would dispatch the crew. My husband paid by check. The day of the service 3 men with deck brushes and a shop vacuum showed up (no fancy equipment) and spent 2 hours on the floor and left. The floor was still visibly dirty, and you could see where they stopped cleaning. After emailing and calling many times - A man called my home and spoke to my husband - after arguing at length - he agreed to refund the $900+ dollars. the man's final words to my husband were "tell your wife to stop emailing us". We did receive our refund; they kept the $350.00 which we felt was fair since they did some floor cleaning. I would never recommend Servpro especially in my area.

ServPro I have an issue with one of yalls employees

Hi I live in san angelo well one of yalls employees came in to my house smelling of Marijuana that's is very unprofessional. I called last week and it don't seem like anything is bring done about it her name is Stephanie. I do not want to give my name or address only because they way the boss and employees talk and Horse around with each other. I don't any Retaliation of any kind if yall can address this situation I would very much appreciate it

Heavily smoked in mobile homes. The living/dining room did not look like they had cleaned/whitened the ceiling. Still resembled yellow coated dirty teeth/dentures. I tried to get them to return to fix it “like it never happened” their motto. But no one coming as of yet- costs too much not to be satisfactory. Surely they have a -bleach or peroxide- sort of...

ServPro Service

Used Servpro out of Buffalo Grove they never called back once service was done, work men showed up at 7 pm without calling to clean equipment and advised it would take till about midnight. I refused them. No one called me back when I called over and over again. The manager owner was rude abusive and a complete [censored] when I argued about payment and work completed. My living room was a wreck for a week when I was advised it would be completed in a timely manner. It was a total cluster. I would never recommend them to anyone.

ServPro A.c. ducts mold remediation and cleaning

I called on tuesday August 15th after we had been away for two weeks on vacation. My son had put our downstairs unit on fan only . Which got it really humid in our house. We returned and smelled it. Then called as stated August 15th. I asked if they could come out right away. She stated no problems she would have someone call me in 24 to 48 hours. My question after that was. Yeah but I need someone out here this week. She said no problems the contact person would set it up.

Thursday the 17th I get a call from Dominic with servepro stating he would be glad to come by Monday to look as he was on vacation at the time. I stated sir I need someone out right away as I was getting headaches and dizziness from the air coming from the ac units. He said I need to come count the registers to give you a quote. I said I will count them for you if you can get someone out this week. He said he would let me know the price and if agreed his guys would be there tomorrow. He texted me a quote of 1250.00 for each unit to be deep cleaned ,deodorizer, and a fresh scent put threw the system. I asked if his guys taped off the registers before sending the stuff through my system for my animals sake. He said yeah sure sure no problems. And all products we use are safe. I agreed to his charge even though my downstairs units had 27 registers and my upstairs unit only had 7. My wife thought the cost breakdown per unit was ridiculous. I use wanted a good job. He said after my day of vaction I will send you a quote to docusign at 10pm. I must sign immediately and send back to get his guys our that next morning. I waited till 12a.m to finally get the docusign. Needing to be at work at 6 am made this very stressful. But I went along. His guys came the next day. Were there for a couple of hours. And then left. My wife they never tapped off the vents while doing the process. It never changed the moldy smell. So not sure if they didn't use enough deodorizer or non at all. They claimed to have done a deep clean. I called Dominic the next morning saying I'm not happy. The smell was still there and whatever the did had no change. He came by and said I am a man of my word. I will have them right back out. The next Saturday they came our and I was present. I first was appalled at seeing a truck from New York show up with a different company name then servepro. I'm thinking I didn't call this company. The owner Armando was not happy about having to do it again. He took hours trying to explain how I needed all my duct work replaced instead of cleaning. He said his guys should've noticed that on first visit and not tried to clean it. Because he said you can't clean them. It needs replaced. I asked him where my air handler was for my upstairs unit. He spoke to his nephew which was there the first visit with his son. He said I think under the house. It took Armando an hour to find my air handler in my attic which didn't get cleaned the first visit. Nor did they do my master bathroom register. He said Dominic is just a salesman not a serviceman. The blame game was played between him and Dominic. Armando was gonna get me an estimate for replacing everything. Meanwhile I made them a sandwich and tipped them 100 cash in hopes to get good service moving forward. I noticed a day later my security camera to my garage was disconnected and my dewalt cordless drill and extended battery was missing. I get a text two days later from Armando saying it would cost 16,000.00 dollars plus the cost of ducts . I immediately called Dominic to not only complain about the whole deal but to also awear him the drill might have been picked up by accident could he please check into it. And that I told him that his crew was not to step back on my property because at this point I don't trust them. He said he wanted to make me happy and this job right. And he would investigate it and get back to me the following week after he got back from another vaction. The next week goes by no call or text nothing. I called him that following Monday to only get a fast text response saying ,"let me know how much money your looking to get back?" Keep in mind he Said , "my guys came twice and your ducts did need cleaning. I texted back saying let's talk about this on the phone. No response. I call again and he answers . I told him I wanted 1500 back from. The wasted2300 I spent and lost a drill too which was 300 dollars worth. He got pissy saying I worked on this during vaction. I got them right out and right back. My response was you being on vaction didn't have anything to do with my business. If you were too busy you should've said we can't do it and not waste my time. He wants to make it right but not really. I texted him a final text saying I wanted 1500 back or give me his though on what would be fair. Again no response . I also told him I had another local company come. They not only cleaner all my duct work and return box. They also sealed my registers like I had done in the past. And they fogged my system for mold remediation. Then disinfectant with deodorizer. It not only smelled better but my wife and I both felt much better. So now I have 3800 in duct cleaning fees. One missing dewalt drill that I use very frequently. That I now have to come out of pocket to replace. I'm asking you as a national reputable company to help me with this not so hard of a request to get a refund that I deserve. My next steps are BBB,then court if not dealt with in a professional manner. I would like to add a big notation. If someone calls Servepro they expect a servepro vehicle and employee to show up. ServPro Servpro of Norfolk Nebraska.

I was an employee till 09/13/23. I took 09/12/23 off of work due to family reasons. I put in a month notice. As I was not supposed to work I decided to enjoy my evening by having a few drinks. Well Darrian Bird (Crew chief) messaged me on snap chat sending very threatening messages to me because I decided to enjoy my night off. I will put pictures of the messages below.

Desired outcome: If they want someone like this running their crew. There’s something wrong. Definitely not a team leader acting like that.

ServPro Water damage remediation

We had the misfortune of being recommended ServPro by our insurance company for a water damage restoration project, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Their so-called professionals showed up late, and it was clear they had no idea what they were doing. They left a mess in my home, damaged various items and the work they did complete was shoddy at best. The communication was atrocious. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid ServPro at all costs. ServPro Pell City, Alabama dont pay contractors for their work

Servpro hired me to do a kitchen remodel after a flood. I was working on a porcelain floor and was halfway done with it when the customer decided that he wanted grout lines changed. Servpro told me to continue and finish it as it was, and the customer said to finish it so I kept working on it. After I finished it the customer decided he didnt like the grout joints being standard grout joints (in my job bid) and wanted the floor to be redone, servpro asked me for a new bid which included tearing the floor I just laid backup and redoing it with a pattern to the grout joints which I gave them, them zack white the installation manager told me I would get paid since I finished the floor according to the job bid I gave them.

After about a week I got hold of zack to find out when it was getting redone and he told me they would let me know. I have spoken to zack numerous times along with everyone in the servpro pellcity, alabama office just for everyone to keep telling me that my check would be issued, week after week they keep telling me the same thing. I have texts from servpro and the customer telling me to finish the job with standard grout joints as it was which I did. I have texts from zack white telling me my check would be issued and was approved to be paid, but still nothing, they wont reply to email, wont answer their phone, wont reply to text. They have just left me hanging to do whatever I need to do because they have done this to other contractors and still are doing the same thing to other contractors repeatedly.

Everyone wonders why servpro cant get any good contractors or help and this is 1 of the main reasons they cant find help, word has already spread across the country that servpro wont pay contractors to do any work.

Desired outcome: I want my pay with compensation for the hassle of them making me wait for 3 months for a check.this has been going on since july18th 2023.

ServPro Basement restoration

We hired Service Pro out of Maumee, Ohio for a basement restoration and clean up. Service Pro arrived with three team members out of Maumee. Dean not sure of last name was very rude to my wife and was very demeaning. We were told when we signed our contract there was a deposit but did not indicate how much we owed. It was 1,900. We did not have 1,900. Our insurance is covering the cost of the restoration. Our insurance is going to pay Service Pro directly. We have molding items just laying in the garage. Calls were made to the Maumee office. Our insurance company even contacted Service Pro and explained the deposit would be covered by insurance. My wife has asthma. Our house smells like mold and this is a major health risk to my family. We were told we would get a call today to reschedule and never received a call. I am very disappointed in the care we received. We were told my Nate from the Maumee office this would be resolved today and it was not. We had major flooding in this area. If this is not resolved I will take legal action. It has been a week now.

ServPro Franchise insurance fraud

I worked for a Servpro franchise until recently when the owner fired everyone that worked there except his sexutary, not giving anyone a reason. I believe it is because all us employees had become familiar with the fraud he was committing by taking damaged things from jobs and selling them to his friends and even employees. Servpro overcharges, has piss poor customer service other than lip service

Desired outcome: Get the public aware of the fraud that happens with Servpro and to make insurance rates go down instead of up.

ServPro Water clean up in basement

I had about a foot and a half of water in my basement. I call my insurance and they give me your number. I call and was told you could not get here for 24 hours. I pump out all the water myself. When they arrive they were here for 2 1/2 hours with 5 workers. I ask if they were going to remove the carpet and I was told no. I ask if they were going to remove the couch and I was told no. The room is 18x28, so the next day I removed the carpet, I also remove the couch. When I move the couch about 2 gallons of water can pouring out. I was not happy at all. I had to call them back the next day when I discovered behind the 2 baseboard heaters wet nasty drywall. I call the office and the lady said she would have the owner call me that was about 6 days ago no call back. I was working with the romeo office [protected].

Desired outcome: Not sure at this time just 100 % dissatified with the work and maybe that phone call I was promise.

ServPro Servpro of South Dayton

Cold Servpro of South Dayton by recommendation of my insurance company after a small fire in our kitchen. Sales manager Paul Wyatt came to our home looked around, acted like he really cared about what they could do for us. My wife and I are senior citizens and both of us are US military veterans. But apparently that doesn't matter to people like this greedy person. Promises were made but never kept like putting things back where they go when they were cleaned and finished. Paul sent two guys to bring back everything and they basically dropped our furniture and and belongings and ran. He found out we had a limit of $20,000 and applied for $21,000 however, my insurance company allotted him over $19,000 and the money was sent to my checking account electronically. When I called Paul to schedule bringing our furniture and belongings back to your house, he told me I would have to have the money handed over to them before he would do that. At that point I smelled a rat. I knew there was a reason why he wanted the money up front, and that was because he was going to cheat us. He comes to pick up the check looks at it and inform me that I owed him about $500. I informed him that no one had ever discussed that with us either the insurance company or him or anybody. Then he starts trying to guilt Trip me and lied about what he had actually submitted originally which he claimed to be now $26,000. He claimed that he backed it down to 21 because he didn't want to us to pay all that extra he knew we didn't have it he said. Ultimately he emailed me stating that they needed $462. 01, before he would bring our stuff back. As far as I am concerned Paul Wyatt is a scammer. He's highly lacking in business ethics. There is absolutely no way that they have performed $20,000 worth of effort. My guess is they made a profit of about $15,000, maybe $12,000. We called their office and used a credit card to pay the $462.01. then they brought her stuff back the next day. And all they did was dump it and claimed they had another place to go to. Please see the attached photos.

Desired outcome: What I would like is an apology, a refund of the $462.01.

ServPro Refinishing of our walls, painting of our walls

The contractor made a mess of our interior. 100% disgusted with his work. Also broke the valve on our oil tank. House is still not finished properly. Can’t believe ServPro would allow this. Did not smooth out the walls before painting. Gouged the walls very badly removing wallpaper. Paint and paint splatter all over woodwork. Paint all over hardwood floor. Never restrained woodwork where it was scratched. Tried to say he was done when ceiling was still in need of repair.

Desired outcome: Want another contractor to come and finish the job
