VIP membership
Unknown to me, I was enrolled in their VIP program for over 2 years. I ordered a dress for $69 in February of 2022, and noticed in April 2023 that there was a charge for $16.95 from Serengeti. I discovered that it was a regular monthly charge. I’m very disgusted with myself for not doing a more thorough check of my credit card charges. I immediately called them and demanded they close this membership I was unaware of. I always try to choose merchants I can trust and never dreamed that Serengeti would resort to these shady practices. It amuses me that they continue to send catalogs my way, as if I would EVER do business with them again. I don’t expect a resolution, based on the results others with my same complaint have made. I just want to warn other people to take their business elsewhere.
Desired outcome: I would like to be given a $200 credit for items from their store. It’s less than I spent, but gives me some value for those lost funds.
Unauthorized credit card charges
I placed an online order from Serengeti Fashions in June of 2022 in the amount of $97.08. I returned the purchase and was credited $68.86. Beginning in July of 2022 through December of 2022 and January of 2023, my credit card account was charged $14.95 each month for a total of &104.65. Beginning in February of 2023 through May of 2023 the monthly charges became $16.18 a month for a total of $64.72. So far a total of $169.37 of unauthorized charges have been made on my credit card.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund of $169.37.Thank you.
Serengeti VIP Club
Copy of email I sent Serengeti VIP Club after their customer service supervisor refused to resolve my problem via phone. ("She can't do anything if the data I uploaded/sent to them with my claim was lost in the ethernet!")
On 1-31-23, I electronically submitted a rebate claim & uploaded the "proof of purchase" document.
This generated message "congratulating" me that my "rebate & proof of purchase had been submitted successfully." (I saved e-copy.)
The submission would have failed to process if I didn't include the proof of purchase.
I'm just now being told that on 2-3-23 you denied my claim asserting I failed to include the required documentation.
I was never advised of this in any manner: via email, USPS, text, phone call, etc.
Furthermore, I had to cancel before 2-1-23 to preclude incurring additional membership fees.
Your company never informed me that upon canceling my account I'd no longer have online access to it.
(And no automated message advising of this fact when attempting & inexplicably failing to login.)
Other vendors maintain access for a period of time showing "closed account" status with recent historical data.
Both of your communication failures were contrary to the actions of a reasonable and reputable business.
Inevitably, I wouldn't know all the same salient facts as you in time to meet your refiling deadline.
Your conflicting business practices caused this inescapable dilemma.
So it's reasonable to expect you to take responsibility for a favorable resolution.

Charge to Credit Card for Club VIP
I have been charged 16.95 per month for 4 months now. I did not join a club or membership from Serengeti. I did buy a clouple of items but they are not my go to catalog. i have been put on hold over 10 minutes and cannot understand why someone does not answer and help resolve this issue.
I will not be doing business with them again and I will stop pymt from my card for fraud.
Desired outcome: Refund my 67.80 and STOP billing people who do not want your service and did not ask for it!

Sun glasses
Have used Serengeti's contact information found on their website several times. We have sent contact information on 2 separate iPhones and also our laptop. One of the arms of my sunglasses broke and I'm attempting to get a replacement.
The contact info section actually has a replacement part section to choose as an option.
It's been a month now since first contact, still no response.
Desired outcome: Replacement arm
Serengeti stole money from my checking account
I purchased one item from this company and they tried to say I joined something just by making a purchase, which I did not. I have been getting the run around by this company, they keep telling me to expect a phone call and or an email but it has never happened. I am asking for this company to do the right thing and return the money they took without permission.

Order not received
I placed an order on August 13th and sent a check to cover the cost, my check was cashed immediately but I have yet to receive my order. Yesterday I tried to check on the order and was told I have to pay more money in order to talk to someone about this. I have decided I do not want to do business with this company and would like a complete refund.

I have tried to order a top, WF899. Each time the order has been cancelled. Web-site will not let me order on-line which forces me to call in. Each time the order is placed only to have the next day it is cancelled. Comment is customer cancelled the order. I did not cancel. Seems that Customer Service is only interested in selling a VIP package. Latest order was W5367472. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!

I order 3 tops on May 11th, 2021 based online. I received a confirmation of the order. 1 week later I received 1 item out of 3. I paid $16.49 for shipping for all of the items.
Today is May 26th and I still have not received the remaining order. I placed this order to be wearing it on my trip to Europe. I went online to check what happened and it said backordered May 24th. I have never received a communication from Serengeti that the items were on backorder!. I then sent an email to their customer service to enquire what the status is and asking why nobody ever contacted me about this. The person was very unprofessional and after a long time finally told me that maybe the remaining order would ship at the end of July. That is more than 2 months. I would never have bought these items if I was informed about this issue.
I am so upset because now I will not have these items for my trip like I had planned and I will get them in 2 months and I was made to pay delivery fees for something that is not even shipped as advertised.
Very frustrating experience and especially the customer service. The woman didn't care or help or provide customer service at all.
Return shipping label
I requested a return shipping label but she said that since I received what I ordered, they were not going to email me a return shipping label.
That's poor customer service!
I'll never order from them again!

Poor customer service
After waiting nearly a month for my order to ship, I no longer needed the item so I cancelled the order. About 3 days later, they shipped it. I called customer service; rep acknowledged my cancellation & instructed me to to mark it 'return to sender, ' assured me of a full refund. Company did not refund the shipping charges & ignored multiple inquiries. Today, I called customer service & this rep claims there's no evidence that I cancelled the order before it shipped. I'm only out about $10 but I want to warn others NOT to do business with this company.
Horrible Company
I helped my mother place a VERY large order and selected one day shipping. Account access was "unavailable" and right before her trip, the shipping indicated it would arrive five days after promised. A call to customer service was a joke. First they offered to refund the shipping and when I said that was unacceptable, the next rep offered to refund HALF the shipping! they claimed we hadn't ordered it rush, and because I trusted the company and didnt do a screen print out, I have no proof that I had, but I will swear under oath that I did, and the only reason we ordered from this wretched company was because they promised the order would arrive in time for my mother's anniversary trip with my dad. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS DECEITFUL COMPANY!
Monthly charge to my credit card
All I ordered was a coat for my mom's birthday (which was late in arriving). I had two different companies, Serengeti and Free Shipping make charges to my card for a monthly membership fee that I don't remember joining. Free Shipping immediately refunded the charges and apologized for the mistake. Serengeti informed me that there are no refunds and that I had just cancelled through the automated phone system so what's the problem. Guess the problem was I order from them in the first place. Watch your card for extraneous charges after you order.

Last year I ordered a product online from Serengeticatalog.com. The product was fine, but ever since then I keep getting promotional e-mails from serengeticatalog.com. Despite going through the process of removing my name from their mailing list multiple times, the e-mails keep coming. I've tried to sending them e-mails via their contact page, but they won't accept e-mail without an accompanying order number (can't fake one either). I've tried calling their 800 number, but I can never get through to a live agent. What gives?
