MackTak Warn others prior to their purchase

In March of 2023, I ordered 2 knit suits and 1 knit dress, that cost well over $1000, however what I received was certainly not what I ordered. The knit dress that I ordered was supposed to be tea length, however the one I received was a mini dress ‍, another knit suit was supposed to be a jacket and dress, however, I only received the jacket but never the dress and who knows about the 2nd knit suit. I began contacting them April 3,2023 and continued for weeks, although the event that I purchased the items for had passed, which didn't matter because, I received no response. Once, I messaged them that I was contacting my credit card company, they responded, by saying they would exchange the items, which never happened, therefore I contacted the credit card company again and they completed a charge back for these items. Once Mack Tak, realized that I had completed a charge back, then there phone worked and one of the rudest representatives contacted me, at which time I explained that I was in the bathroom and requested that they give me a few minutes and call me back, so I could discuss the matter further.

Upon exiting the bathroom my phone alerted me that Mack Tak, had placed an unauthorized charge on my card for the exact same amount that was in question and originally charged back by the credit card company, which again was over $1000. Due to this being over the holiday weekend, I was forced to wait until the following Tuesday to speak with someone at the credit card company, at which time I was forced to cancel the credit card and have another one issued, because of Mack Tak unethical practices. I have also, been forced to contact an attorney, because this company continues to harass me and deny/take responsibility for anything, I was told that they don't make mistakes, so I had to be lying. I purchase items from Nordstrom, Saks and Neiman, without any issue, but this is a lesson learned.

The only reason I ever tried this company, was because they claimed to have been located in New York, although the delivery is from a foreign country and all contact is via WHATS APP. I will never order anything from an unfamiliar company, that I can't verify is located in the UNITED STATES. This company is Horrible to say the least and each and every buyer needs to BEWARE OF THEM!

MackTak worst experience ever!

I purchased a dress from Macktakmart website more than five months ago, and I also paid extra money for a fast shipping. The dress did not come on time and when it finally arrived I was very disappointed with the quality, so I sent it back. I'm still waiting for my refund! I spent over four months trying to contact someone from the company! I emailed, called and received absolutely no response. Up until now I did not receive my money back. I will make sure no one I know will buy anything from this scam website! The website is not trustful! They just took my money and disappeared!

Hi,
I bought a dress on macktak website more than one year ago, and I paid for a fast shipping because I would live the country for a wedding and I needed the dress. The dress did not come on time, and it was sent back to the facility, but I never got the money back. I tried get in contact with them not 1, 2, 3, or 4 times but as many times as I can remember, by email, by phone call, everything. The answer was always the same, that they would call me back, that the request was sent to financial department etc. Up until now I did not receive a phone call, email or even an answer about how am I going to get the money back. For the reasons explained before, I will make sure no one I know will buy anything from that website ever, and hopefully this review will help anyone deciding if the stress is worthy before trying to buy. The website is not trustful or serious in any type of way. I am more that disappointed with the dishonesty presented by the staff, website and the customer service. I will never try to buy anything on this website again.

MackTak worst experience with a customer service representative

Worst experience with a customer service representative..The MackTak Price Match and the flashing red banner its a Big JOKE Compared with other sites. no more free shippping with the price match lol . wh the purpose then, it's Will become the same price.!?

MackTak this store is a scam

This store is a scam! Stay away! You need an appointment to get in so I made one and came all the way from Eastern Long Island by car and train. What a waste, when i got there I was rudely told look at the dresses and try on what you like. She refused to help me and the selection was so small even though they advertise the largest selection in NewYork city. The worst part is all the dresses are garbage cheap imitations.Every style I saw on line she said they did not have in the store but when I asked over the phone they said to bring style numbers so they can pull them out for me to try and now she is telling me to order them on line after wasting my time and money to go into the city. I will be reporting them to consumer affairs and who ever gave them good rerviews is either lying, working for them or does not know any better! SCAM SCAM SCAM.

MackTakMart.COM has the largest selection in New York City not our store.
When customers call our web site we always say that we do not have all the dresses from the web site in our store.
90% of the dresses on our web site need to be ordered from designer warehouses so we say that they are available for online purchase only.
We carry only our best sellers at the store.
Also you can call any designer warehouse Jovani, Terani, Tadashi Shoji, Alyce Designs, Allure etc. and ask them about MackTak Mart and they will tell you that we do order all dresses from them directly.
We do apologize that the selection of our store did not reach your expectations.
Usually the trip to our store is pretty useful as you can try on other styles in different designers so you can figure out your correct sizing.

MackTak no responce after order/purchase

i have ordered an evening dress from macktak mart, and i ve ordered the dress on express shipment paying extra big money 189usd, after i paid the money i have recieved email from mack tak mart that dress is not available and i have to wait till 15 june.
i accepted that, but since then i am sending emails to them but having no responce at all.

please note that i have ordered the same dress from another site, and i have received it long back.

The Tadashi dress was ordered for you from designer warehouse in color ginseng size 4 on April 26th but we still haven't received your dress. However we did not charge you for the dress or the shipping as we don't charge until we ship.
You mentioned that you received this dress from another web site.

MackTak please stay away from macktak mart

Please stay away from macktak mart. The customer service is extremely bad. I ordered a dress and desided to returned it. It took me 3 weeks to call and no answers. They don, t pick up the phone as soon as they see the number. After many many times I called finally they answered I explained that I want to return the dress they said no, exchange only or store credit. I ask to speak with the manager because this was not what they told me before I ordered she said yes hold on, and then she hang up. So that's my story I managed to get my money thru my bank but trust me you will get very dissapointed if you order from them.

MackTak keep away from this website

I ordered a dress from them months ago for my wedding May 26. I happened to email them a few days ago as they had not been keeping me updated only to find out the dress will not be restocked...something they should have known a while ago. They blamed a "glich" in their computer system. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE! Whenever I called to inquire about my order, if I happen to get an English speaker on the other line, they would repeatedly put me on hold or transfer and at times, never actually answer my questions.

Dear Mayra, We apologize for any misunderstandings on our side. But we emailed and called you multiple times regarding your order throughout that month that you have been waiting. When you emailed us you did not mention that you placed a special order with us or provide us with your order number from the start, it looked as if you were checking the stock. The Jovani dress you have ordered is out of stock in Jovani warehouse but your special order was placed on February 21st. And as soon as we received your dress at the store we had to constantly email you and leave voicemails on your phone regarding your order. Please note, we never charged you for the special order, which is normally done as soon as we place the order with the designer warehouse in such cases. We apologize for any inconveniences again. But please do not blame our customer service for not communicating with you as it is not our fault that you do not check your emails and listen to your voicemails. I hope you enjoyed your wedding. MackTak don't give your money to these crooks

The customer service is terrible and untrustworthy. a day after I ordered a dress that it was out of stock and would arrive in 2 weeks. I have agreed to wait two weeks for the dress I ordered to be in stock. When I placed my order the dress was listed as in stock and I called the day before I ordered it and an employee told me the dress was in stock. I have emailed customer service several times and got no response. Each time i call someone (Nino or Ellie) tells me it will be in by the end of the week. Ellie has put me on hold several times and has either not gotten back to me or completely hung up. This has been going on for four weeks straight. My wear date has since past. Not to mention that when i placed the order the dress was not listed as back ordered. The site is untrustworthy and the people (Nino & Ellie) are very rude.

We apologize for your unfortunate experience with our company. But we are constantly working on improving our customer service.
Your order was placed on March 23rd. The designer warehouse didn't have the dress in your size by the time we placed the order with them on March 23rd. So we followed up on your case and informed you that the only colors available were coral and turquoise. To which you preferred to wait until the beige color comes out of production which was scheduled 2 weeks from then according to the designer warehouse. So we back ordered your dress from the designer warehouse on March 27th and were expecting your dress to automatically arrive to the shipping facility. When you contacted us the status of your order in our system stated "waiting for arrival to MTM". After long communications with the designer warehouse regarding your dress it turned out that the order has never been put through on their side, as we have all supporting emails and information that the had been placed. We are very sorry about this whole situation. This has never happened before and we always follow up on back orders since then.
We hope your daughter was wearing a beautiful dress on her prom and hopefully one day you will take advantage of the discount we offered for you at our web site.

MackTak I ordered a gown from macktak and did not understand why it was so small

I ordered a gown from MackTak and did not understand why it was so small. Then I found 2 tags sewn inside with 2 different sizes. Additionally, the hanging designer tag had the size whited out with a sticker over it. The manager refused to take the gown back saying it wasn't MackTak's fault, even though they state that every gown is checked and rechecked before leaving the store. I reported MackTak to the Better Business Bureau; they didn't even respond their the BBB complaint. Now I know why they have a rating of "F" due to the amount of complaints lodged against them.

MackTak macktackmart.com offers false advertisements and terrible shipping service

Avoid this site! I ordered a pretty expensive dress, only to find out that everything was poorly stitched. Parts of the dress almost fell apart instantly with a pull of a string. Also, they use the WORST shipping service ever. TNT express, when you call about inquires their staff are very rude, uninformative, and offer you no solutions. My major problem with this site is, I am from Canada and when I ordered my dress I was told that shipping was going to be covered. Next month I am billed from TNT express a custom bill of $109! Macktackmart.com offers false advertisements and terrible shipping service. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE! take it from my experience.

This company is not legit, do not purchase from them. My first experience: I ordered a GIGI dress... I was suppose to receive it by end of December or mid January. I kept calling and calling and calling, finally I get a call back to say that the designer has decided not to do business with them anymore, they are still going to fulfill the orders. I kept calling and calling and calling again, they finally called back and said they dont know whats was wrong, cant get a hold of the designer...Really? So then I called and ordered a dress through New York Dress a legit company, the next day after I placed my order Macktak called me threating me they had the dress and didnt care they were going to ship it to me, after they had told me they couldnt get it.

I then decided to give them a second chance, after reading reviews..some were very similar to what I went through and some were good, needless to say I decided to give them a second chance.They had a Jovani sale, I was trying to place an order the website was not working the sale lasted 3 days. I spoke to this Sheri person through a chat, gave my credit card numbers and place the order, she said something was wrong with the system, she would place my order not to worry. I said I wanted to make sure I get the sale price which was like 45 percent less, she said oh no worries we are a authentic company, nothing to worry. Well I called the next day I ddint receive an invoice. I was on hold many times, and finally someone said they would look into it and send me an invoice. I then called the following day again to make sure it was processed, and I said I wanted to get an invoice with the price. They then told me the price was 640 and the dress was no suppose to be on sale, they had a technical issue and all dresses that were on sale were not suppose to be, eventhough I had received an email stating jovani dresses 45 percent off. I will never buy from this company one lie after another, if I were you save yourself the trouble and purchase from either NEWYORKDRESS.COM, PROMGIRL.COM, PROMGIRL.NET Not from this shady place, very bad customer service too.

MackTak this is obviously a scam company

The worst company ever! WARNING! In Dec last yr, I was told by the boss himself my dress comes in Size 2 so I bought it. But in fact there was never a Size 2 and they simply sent me a size bigger. When I ask for a refund, they beat around the bush asking me to try and alter it or pick a diff dress, which I obviously refused! They finally asked me to post the dress back so they can process my refund (this was done in May 2011). I had to pay for postage charges even when it's not my fault to begin with, plus they are going to deduct the bank fees from my refund amount! Worst part is, after reluctantly agreeing to all that, it is now Oct and they have not send me my money! I've been calling them time after time but they just kept delaying or avoiding my calls! This is obviously a scam company! Consumers pls beware of this website!

MackTak I have spent a large deal of money on a cheap imitation dress

I tried to return a dress from macktakmart which did not look anything like the picture online (I am familiar with the design of the dress and believe me, this was NOT the dress/designer they claimed it was). However, they refused to let me return it (although the exchange policy clearly states you can). Very disappointed as I have spent a large deal of money on a cheap imitation dress.

I went to the store in NYC and they did not have a good selection. They had similar ones to the online store but obviously not the same. They representatives were very shady and did not help us at all. A very different atmosphere than expected and I would not recommend that place to anyone.

MackTak they never responded to my email about the refund

Avoid this store. We asked about a dress and were told it was in stock and would be delivered by the date we required it. We made an order. The next day got an email saying the dress would not be available until a month after we required it. We responded that would be too late, and were told our order would not be processed and that they were not charging the credit card.

A week later they reopened the order, again we said it was too late, again they said we would not be charged.
The next week the $300 appeared on my credit card bill. Every time I called they said they would refund the money, but they never did. Eventually had to go through Mastercard to get the money back.

Their 24/7 customer service does not exist. Most phone calls went to answering machine. When I tried the online chat service, they would stop responding as soon as I mentioned my order, even though they were more than happy to chat in another window when I pretended to be someone wanting to buy something. They never responded to my email about the refund.

A doubt whether this is a legitimate business.

It was such a pleasure for me to work with Macktakmart.com. I needed to find a dress for my prom and i found this site. Everything from Service to delivery was just perfect! I totally satisfied with my purchase! To say the truth i didnt expect that i can get my dress the day i needed, but i got it right on time ;) Thank you MackTakMart i will come back for sure!

I am so happy and satisfied with my experience with MackTak my dream dress is sold out on the websites that I have made an inquiry but I was surprised that they have it on stock and ship it to me in just 2 days I have ordered. They are so helpful really amazing that this kind of days really hard to trust ordering online.

The same thing happened to me. I kept getting threatening phone calls asking me to remove my post, if they continue I will contact an attorney as they have no rights to record any conversations without my permision.
